I was 17 when Bon died. If you weren't around that age, you couldn't even believe how bad these dudes were. Couldn't nobody replace him. My prayers for Malcom. My prayers for Angus. My prayers for everyone 🙏
There are many marriages, made in heaven, in this world. But for me, the real marriage made in heaven was, when Phil joined ACDC. The legend was born with Bon Scott's entry....
99.9% of the Fans who Were Blessed to have been on the front row at this Awesome, Historical Show were Headbanging, jumping up and down and having the time of their Life!!!!! One guy with blonde hair and a light colored shirt just stood there and didn't even tap his Toes???????? What was wrong with him????? Maybe he was in " SHOCK" and Could Not believe that He Was up Front at this Show?? He would be Approximately (62) Now. If You See this Comment, please let us all know what was going on with you. Thanks Mate.
I read than Bon Scott was a roadie and he told them he could do a better job than whoever was singing at the time. And anyone that doesn't like Brian Johnson, I am going to just assume they have not heard the album Back In Black. You should pick up a copy. Its okay to have two good singers. You don't have to pick one. Iron Maiden had two good ones.
AC/DC and Motorhead. No bullshit. No compromise. No pretence. Just footstomping Rock n Roll. Not many bands now or ever come close to their honesty. Especially the early years for both bands.
He was a class act with a real cool stage presence and I mean no disrespect to Brian Johnson, but Bon had some real tongue-in- cheek and clever lyrics , and some of them made you laugh once you realized what the lyrics or what he was singing, meant.. I still laugh when he puts that crazy smile on his face, which always includes you included those wild eyes, to add effect.
That blond kid in the white shirt, front left, thought he was going to a lecture about electricity. If only he knew what he was lucky enough to experience there. Saw them in 1979 in a slightly larger venue but still got to touch Bon and get showered in Angus sweat as he rode on Bon’s shoulders through the mosh pit (no security needed). Brings tears to my eyes to see this stuff. Utterly brilliant!
This is not the Glasgow Apollo, The Scottish fans went wild on the return of the Young brothers to their hometown and are responsible for putting ANGUS ! ANGUS ! into A Whole Lotta Rosie back in 1978. Different crowd altogether.
@Bvon Strat lol that high,i went to tons of gigs the apollo as a youth, even higher than i remember it lol i also remember seeing saxon there, graham oliver smashed a guitar at the end,and threw it offstage,it was flying through the air.towards my outsteched hands, until a pile of bodies came flying towards me,and i ended up at the bottom of the pile lol bouncers going mental, graham later apologized for getting carried away on a radio show after the gig,as it nearly started a riot lol
@Bvon Strat i remember reading that rob halford once fell off his motorbike that he used to drive onstage at judas priest gigs, just as well he didnt fall off his bike at the apollo,as there would be no rob halford lol
Not gone. They're just warming up at a venue we are all on line for man. We've all got tickets. When your ticket is punched, you'll be admitted. You can bet your life on it. Till then brother, try not to do anything stupid. Or you'll get kicked out of line.
Well I left my job in my hometown, headed for the smoke, got a rock and roll band and a fast right hand, gonna get to the top, nothing's gonna stop us, no nothing...
What a F-en intro! Angus does the “Curly” shuffle then goes from one end of the stage to the other all while biting into that SG hard. NO ONE! Rocks harder than Angus.....
I was there! One of the greatest concerts I have ever seen. By the end of the show the crowd was on the stage partying with AC/DC. Pat Travers opened for them.
Bon and Angus are simply electrifying, but seriously, take a look at the way Malcolm holds it down at the back. One of the coolest men to ever pick up a guitar.
Wow....JFW!! Wish I could have been at that show...a small place at a small time...the rest is history... Thank you for the many memories I can recall instantly when I hear the first few notes....
I miss spoke prematurely with that statement as I was listening to Bon Scott version of ACDC on my buds. Clearly Alice Cooper is the greatest frontman ever. Nobody even close
With Bon, sorry Brian, the best band ever. Had the privilege to buy records at his time, but was just too young for live concerts. Anyone who got to see the band live in those years, congratulations....man I envy you :)
Agree to disagree, pal. I still say they’re the best band ever. I like Brian Johnson better anyway. Some will argue that it’s The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, etc. I say it’s ACDC…WITH Brian Johnson, not Bon Scott. In the words of Patrick Swayze, OPINIONS VARY.
Malcolm has to be the proudest brother ever. He saw his younger brother entertain millions and giving them a show and he was there every time to witness how great he was! Rip Malcolm Young❤
This is the first time I heard this song and already, I can tell that its a hit. Pure RnR. Now as a guy growing up listening to RnR. I don't think I would have been as wild at an event playing Donnie Osmond or the Partridge Family. I am a little surprised that no one is eating, drinking, or smoking at all. What were the dynamics there? Was this at a real school and that's why its more controlled? How did they manage that? In a good way. I think we should have more bands playing at schools like this. Bring in local talent. Afterall, our tax dollars fund to support them and they are monitored.
Bought the brand new"Let There Be Rock"album when I was a young teen in 1977.Needless to say my rock and roll world was never the same!Thank you,it's still a treasure to me.⭐
Brian ain't Bon, but Brian has done a damn good job, no one else could have done better. That says alot for Brian. Bon was the best and i will always love the Bon era more. But give Brian his due and stop hatin'. AC/DC is still putting out great music after all these years, not many can say that. So "Enjoy the Show"
All I can say is thank God someone decided to film so much of AC/DC with bon. For the time this was really progressive . So bless whoever was the genius.
@@musicwitchrachaeloneil4601 are you someone who was filming.this was such a progressive move. So innovative. Did you start a company? Anyway thank you so much for your vision.🖤🎸💋🖤
A lot of people don't know. He was the glue that held AC/DC together. Malcolm was so underrated. Rhythm guitar and behind the scenes on so many of their hits.
Agreed! That whole relentless, driving rhythm section is a massive part of what makes the band so great. The energy from Phil, Cliff and Malcolm is just off the charts!
