Bella is a beast, she is going to be a problem on tour as she continue to grow. That being said, this was another fun and exciting video. Sierra was Sierra like always 🤣😂🤣. I can’t wait to see the two of you bowl that doubles tournament.
It is fun 30 years later to watch youth bowlers talk about all the ball changes that can be made when 30 years ago all we were talking about were adjustments and if that lanes were tourched enough to move to plastic.... LONG LIVE THE PANCAKE WEIGHT BLOCK! :) Love seeing all the options in youth bowling these days! I would argue though that some of these bowlers have TOO many options in their bag and are making ball switches when not necessary. . .
@@steve99912 I would say modified, not quite that easy, but not a tough shot either. But moving pair to pair is always a challenge. Watch Bella, she is solid and is quite accurate with lots of power.
Yall the ratio is 2.44 to 1. That's like 1/6 of a house shot. It's definitely on the softer side of sport, but no where near house levels of easy friction and shape.
Excellent Job Sierra! Sounds like you learned that spare shooting is extrememly Important. I am sure that your spare shooting will be much better in your next tournament. Ken
The amount that bowling alley has improved over the years is crazy. Used to be all wood lanes and the interior was horrible. Good on the owners for investing.
Watching her bowl is so trippy, she literally has the same exact form as me. Except a little better of course 😂 it’s like watching a better version of me
You need to bowl in events, to bowl well in events. There is a level of comfort that comes with repetition. Sounds like you were one bad game from being right in the thick of it. We were all rooting for you. Keep working. Gotta make those spares. Cheers!
In 30 years of bowling I have seen countless prodigies who had enough talent to fill a lake but almost none of them ever so much as won a single PBA title. I think it's important to enjoy a well rounded life. Eat, sleep and breathing a game like bowling for 99% of people just isn't worth it. There is a huge risk for burnout and honestly only a small percentage of folks live a good life from bowling. Keep it in perspective, it's a great game and can keep that competitive nature fed for a lifetime but leave room for other skills to develop off the lanes. Although while your young travel the country and bowl everything that is the best time to do it.
@Frank G. Well I'm not that old I was talking about in my time. The Kamron Doyles or Alex Canaughs and that kid that shot 900 twice. I'm sure every guy on tour was a local prodigy but again most flame out because even if your Jason Belmonte it's a tough grind.
Yeah I really like Sierra's talent ....... The more I watch competitive bowling the more it seems like it's luck at the end of the day kind of like golfing you're either on it or off it
At 5:25, we see a two-handed bowler for just a few seconds. Sarah, do you have any opinions on why the two-handed style hasn't become as popular among female bowlers as it has among men (and boys)? Thanks.
that’s a good question, i would say it’s just because of lack of female influence on the two handed side of things. that is Bella Castillo at 5:25, and i think she is going to inspire a lot of females to try two handed bowling in the future, and influence coaches to teach some female players that approach as well.
Sierra, 1st time watching a video. I really like your attitude and your smile. Yea, Bella has potential, but I don't know. You keep doing what your doing. Talent is only so much, but personality means more in the long run of life. You have a good future if you choose to follow it. That is YOUR choice to make and I'm sure you'll make the right decision. Good luck in future tournaments. I'll continue to watch your progress.
Comparing apples and oranges really. Sarah is an adult university graduate living her own life with about an decade more time and experiences developing her personality and outlook on life. Bella is 13, barely an teenager, living with her parents, still figuring out who she is as an person. Bella's content is all about her bowling with very little insight into who she is outside the lanes. Which I think is an wise choice given her age. She is serious about her bowling so her personality comes across as serious as opposed to Sarah's more usually fun loving approach to her content. As Bella gets older and has more control over her content we may see different sides of her personality. In the meantime i will enjoy watching all these talented ladies compete and continue to improve. Keep smiling Sarah.
@@ronallen6578 well I am not sure exactly how old Sierra is but i would say she is at least 18. edit after little research she is roughly same age as sarah. They both bowled for Wichita State. so they both University graduates. Well done ladies.
I personally don't like the two handed approach and Bella is always all over the lane. The only thing helping her is more rev and speed then most bowlers shes going agaisnt. Unless she can become more consistent I don't see her being that great. Sierra's approach is way better and more consistent. Nice job!!!!!!!
you can find her at the following time stamps - 5:25, 5:40, 6:54, 9:35, 9:54. her name is Bella Castillo, she led the regional & finished second. thanks for watching 😊
