I just love how he takes a 1372 player seriously, just explaining his moves without trash talk. Of course, I love him trash talking if it's warranted (e.g., against Giri ;)) But to show this kind of respect to a weaker player is very inspiring.
@Relisoc

It’s all relative. Hikaru sometimes refers to 2500-2600 GM’s as ‘patzers’ compared to the 2700+ club. You can call a 2500 a scrub, and you can call a 1300 a ‘solid principled player,’ and both are accurate, just depends on perspective.

What I learned from this game: 1. Tempo is so important. Magnus' A and B pawns had tempo and owned the right side of the board. 2. Rerouting the knight. Many players don't like spending many moves on the knight. The World Champ however, taught us to envision the knight on good squares and getting it there. 3. That B5 square, a weakness after the A pawn goes to A5, was never exploited by white. (Something to think about the next time) 4. Magnus' 2 knights support each other. The light sq bishop damaged the white's pawn structure, and the dark sq bishop, after serving its mission on H2, trades off with White's most active piece (dark sq bishop). Great stuff to learn.
