I got my M1Pro 14 2 weeks ago, I had switched from a good windows laptop, have used a lot of computers, but this laptop is hands down the best machine I have ever used, absolutely worth of money, I don't think there is any better machine ever built than this

MacBook - I thought I was crazy when I was only getting 3 and half hours battery life using Lightroom cc for photo editing. It’s an amazing tool. Thanks for your take on it

Thank you for your feedback, it helped me in my future choice. For now I will continue to work with my Mac mini M1. It is efficient and very quiet compared to my MacBook Pro 16' from 2019 which cost me 5K€ in App Store of France

I'll never understand why people think other reviewers being excited about the device means the review is less authentic. Being calm or being super negative on a review doesn't automatically mean it's more honest. Olliur is saying almost all the same thoughtful things other reviewers say in their reviews about the devices, he's just much chiller in his delivery. Doesn't mean what he's saying is any more or less authentic than others.

I am saying that I appreciate his thoughtfulness in his delivery, the time it takes to make these reviews, and his perspective on who this laptop is for given it’s price and capabilities - and how it may not be necessary for everyone. I love tech reviews and also love sharing my appreciation to others who put time, energy, and effort into making them.

I just bought the base model 14” and I’m head over heels with it so far. The design reminds me of my PowerBook from eons ago. It was anice upgrade from my 2020 M1 MacBook Air

One thing that people forget about the 14" is that you can always bring a power bank to power it in case you have to do intensive tasks on the go.

Macbook :As a working IT professional and budding AI dev, this machine has been absolutely amazing. I've been a Windows guy my entire life, and when I got into AI I soon realized the many pitfalls Windows had with coding python and just some of the annoyance's that I haven't run into once I switched over to Mac.

I picked up the 13" M1 MacBook before the new ones came out, I tried to wait as long as possible for the release but it was needed for work. Might pull the trigger closer to the end of the year for this one

MacBook Thanks for the review. I recently got my work to upgrade me to the 16” M1 Max. I’d actually wanted to go with the 14”, but I wasn’t going to complain once the decision had been made to make the upgrade. So far it has been an unparalleled joy to work with. One of the less talked about features that I’m grateful for is that the two Thunderbolt/USB-C ports on the left side (the side with the mag-safe port) are the same spacing as the previous generation of MBP. Which means that I can use the same two-port USB-C Docking station that I had before.

Great video! I've been back and forth getting this for my new set up. At the moment I have the Mac mini M1 pairs with my new monitor. Wanting to ge the MacBook Pro so I can edit on the go if needed. But, With rumors out that the event on the 8th will announce a new Macbook pro line up, should I wait to see what's coming with the potential of the M2?

After editing about 100 YT videos on a 2013 Zbook, I just pulled the plug on the 14" Macbook, with 10/16/16/1.Will have to wait patiently for a couple of weeks till it arrives. I hope it lives up to all the positive reviews I have watched.

if you're getting a 13 I'd recommend the Macbook air over pro. I switched over from a 2018 MBP 13 inch to this 2020 Macbook Air base model and it is so much faster! Amazing

There already is a stand alone version of the display(basically) on the iPad Pro. You can use it as an external display using sidecar.

MacBook, Instagram, Twitter… nice video. I haven’t had a MacBook since the 17”. It was great but broke twice. First tyme the I/O controller went bad, replaced for free with AppleCare, second one the removable battery exploded like 6 weeks out of warranty. I then went backwards to the 2012 Mac Pro tower, still using it. Though this new 14” has me interested in a laptop again… 🤔 Thanks for the video & the enticement!

MacBook This is a really great review! I've gotten the M1 MacBook Air several months before the new MacBook Pros came out, and I'm already happy with it! It's been my daily driver for 9 months now, and I hope it gets me throughout high school and college. And I really don't regret getting this MacBook. And also, the MacBook Air is already perfect enough for what it is. But for pros, the MacBook Pro is worth getting.

I grabbed the 16'' M1 Pro MacBook base model. As a photographer/videographer it is more than powerful enough to handle my 4K workload. Though I might have to look at upgrading when tech moves to 8K, its the best investment I've made in awhile. Thanks for the assist!

I’m looking to get the M1 14 inch for editing on the go to coffee shops, and more but I’m not sure if they get the M1 pro or the M1 Max. looks like the M1 max battery will drain faster so it wouldn’t be ideal for on the go. what do you think I should get??

I think a lot of tech RU-vidrs just get over excited for the function, but they don't remember most of their viewers are average consumers with low cash flow who use credit cards and then pay interests for buying this products... Unless its for work. If people are paying interest for a laptop, they need to get their priorities straight. I understand if people can't afford a $300 laptop. That's life sometimes. But if you're paying interest for a MacBook, a luxury item, yeah get your stuff straight

MACBOOK 👌 Curious to know if you upgraded to Monterey and if so have you experienced any bugs, lag and externa drives being ejected? or in general subpar behavior with external devices for such a expensive device

Since upgrading to Monterey (base M1 Air) constant problemas with external drives, be it SSD or HDD, they work slow, lag or even eject - they can work for a while but out of nowhere can ve ejected, no such problem on previous intel Mac or other Windows computers with the same drives. A hub seems to help but its ridiculous that one needs a hub to have such a basic function work.

i run 2 of my Pro Display XDRs and an extra 4k display off my m1 max; on top of running intensive dev and browser sessions, its simply perfect. my old 2020 m1 mac used to lag heavily with the pro display and couldnt handle a bunch of browsers unfortunately the battery only lasts 2-3 hours for me, unsure whats going on. but the magsafe cord is really fun to fidget with :)

how is your keyboard?? I feel like mine has gotten a lot quieter after two months. My wife got a new one last week and I can really feel the difference. Idk if im just being too picky
