I had that thought back when I was on NG+2 as well but the reality is that if your are collecting this much in resources that extra 10% isn't really going to make a difference. It's three clicks to make 99 adaptive frames. Say you make 99*9 adaptive frames and get 980 frames. Three extra clicks taking a fraction of a second gets you 99*10 = 990. Beds require fiber but benches do not. Now that I'm on NG+5 it isn't worth it to track down fiber. Also, you only get 15% if you just "slept" with your companion. It's only 10% if you sleep alone.

The most confusing part is definitely the helium requirements. What I do is have an outpost JUST for helium shipping on each Star system I'm harvesting, then make 3 cargo links regular and 3 inter system. This way you can also ship helium to other places as needed

Kinda mad I wasted time even doing this now.
@vi3tmix
@vi3tmix 2 месяца назад
😂. The game does such a bad job at reporting production rates that it makes cargo linked outposts not worth it imo. I’ve found it way WAY easier and more worthwhile to just make a bunch of outposts that will mine all the raw goods you can possibly need, then you just need periodically collect them manually. Just exploit the fact that your character can carry infinite weight and you’ll be able to quickly get what you need without losing your mind sorting out bugs and logistics. Take everything to The Lodge, craft it in the room that has every crafting station you could need, plus infinite storage containers (there’s one in the crafting room plus the main safe in your bedroom). No need to worry about production rates, transfer rates, or Helium fuel depots. Using cargo links requires several fixes/updates/mods to make outpost links less buggy, cargo links more consistent, production rates clearly reported so you can balance accordingly, etc before it’s worthwhile without driving yourself crazy. This video with him talking a mile a minute still took over 40 minutes. Imagine how long it took to set it up and he still had errors. It’s unfortunate that support and interest for the game cratered, that most people have already moved on before this system was more usable. That said, it’s still fun setting up outposts for small goods and shipping-just don’t let yourself go crazy trying to make these larger systems work that are burdened by some really terrible game systems and mechanics.

i've noticed that having outposts this big causes my game to have "Micro" freezing every minute or two, for a few seconds at a time. this did NOT occur before i set up these massive XP farms. really sucks. it occurs anywhere I am at in the game, but its very noticable at the outpost, whenever I see a cargo ship land, that is when it starts to freeze up

Duuuude I finally just got the 60K XP farm working yesterday morning 😭 I just said screw using the cargo link system, because it would make my game stutter pretty badly no matter where I was for 5 - 10 seconds at a time, every forty to forty-five seconds when the cargo ships would land at or take off from one of the Outposts. I found that it was just faster to clear out the Neodymium storage myself at the other outpost rather than wait for cargo ships to slowly fill up the storage plus have to deal with stuttering. Still worked like a charm without them and like I said, was faster lol. Now, I guess I'm gonna be shifting operations to this method. I suppose I'm already fairly set up for this method though at the least. I also suppose I'll just have to do the same thing with the Antimony, Caesium, Indicite, Solvent, and Semi-Metal Wafers that I did with the Neodymium, and just gather them from storage myself and be over-encumbered and transfer it manually into other storage containers, instead of using the cargo links. As long as you're at the input container in the chain and are transferring into at least the same amount of storage containers that you took from, you should be able to drop the whole stack in at once. I'd personally rather put up with being over-encumbered and having the near-death effect on my screen, than have my game freezing every forty-five seconds. Then I just dump whatever there is to sell in a no-limit storage crate for selling later on and repeat. Also, before anyone asks, if you managed to read this far, I tried deleting the cargo links and placing new ones and re-linking them multiple times. Still stuttered like crazy every time. On Xbox Series X by the way. Guess it just needs more optimization.

One thing that I've come across and I'm assuming other players have too - is that cargo links do not progress unless I am standing on the planet of an outpost, and not using the wait feature. That being said, I've reverted to just building adaptive frames because they can be built from resources that can be immediately stacked by sitting in a chair and hitting wait. I'm sure building additional cargo links will help but this old method has been so much faster for me. Are adaptive frames as valuable as Wafers? No, but I'm just speaking of the fastest method for XP.

My inter-links work perfectly even better then the normal cargo links. Things that make them look like they don;t work mite be you need to save and reload and the storage will be full. Other thing to watch is for example if your extractor is lets say on Titan for tungsten 24h UT is 2100 hours on Titan but if your not on Titan it's the opposite you need to do 2100h UT to make 24 hours on Titan so if you want everything to work when you do the waiting be on a planet that has huge time dealation. and Always save and reload the game.

It took me so long, but I set up a Vytinum Fuel Rod xp farm. It was a pain in the ass but it's glorious. I realized that only having one resource per link prevents the overflow from affecting supply lines by clogging them. Also, there's a skill that allows 6 cargo links per outpost. I was able to link them all together where I have two of both the inicidite wafer and nuclear fuel rod delivered at the same time to the outpost I craft the Vytnium fuel rods as sleeping does not affect supply lines. Sleeping every so often helps fill up any boxes that aren't efficient, i.e., not enough fabricators. I did it where the Vytinium is located on the planet Decarion and had plutonium delivered. So satisfying.

I noticed since I finished the 60k xp build that I've been getting these pretty intense lag spikes every minute or two while playing. Has anyone else gotten this? If you back your input gain down a little, you'll still be the same volume on the output but you won't be smashing your voice with the compressor. I'm happy to help if you have any questions.

Heads up for anyone doing this on Xbox(I have the white one😂I forget the name) if you do the 140K exp exploit not the 60k or 20k you’ll lag hard every few minutes also teleporting to planets where you have big outpost like the one in Katydid 3 will sometimes glitch and you be in a void so you’ll have to load back to your last save. This is just what I have experienced not what other people have told me or said.

Vytinium Fuel Rods are 200k xp per minute as they give a base 10 xp each vs. the 7 xp of Indicite Wafers. It would take only 3-4ish additional outposts beyond what is needed to craft Indicite Wafers. Vytinium Fuel Rods take Plutonium, Vytinium, Idicite Wafers, and Nuclear Fuel Rods. You are already making Indicite wafers which are still fine to manual craft so you do not need to ship them. Instead, you can tout them until it is time to craft Vytinium Fuel Rods. Decaran 7b is the only place to get Vytinium. It also has Uranium, Iridium, and h3 as well but Plutonium is not found there. He3 is found in the same biome as the others so no need to ship it in. Would need to ship in plutonium or ship Vytinium out to plutonium planet. There are numerous Plutonium Planets. A moon in Narion called Grimsey is where I made my Pu outpost. Nuclear Fuel Rods take Semi-Metal Wafers, Solvent, and Uranium. You are already manufacturing the first 2 and simply need an outpost to stockpile Uranium. In my opinion, it is best to make a 2nd outpost on Decaran 7b to stockpile Uranium, have Solvent & Semi-Metal Wafers shipped there (possibly from second outposts on Codos and Latana 7), and manufacture Nuclear Fuel Rods to ship to your Vytinium Outpost where you are also shipping Plutonium to finally use your manually crafted Indicite Wafers to manually craft the Vytinium Fuel Rods.
@BabyDahl28
@BabyDahl28 9 месяцев назад
Could you theoretically just have all the outposts ship required resources to one main hub, then have a few workbenches, each one prioritized differently and pound out a ton of wafers, take 2 steps over and pound out rods take a couple steps and pound out the next thing, etc etc? I get having some thing made is prob easier just cause you only focus on 1 final product, but figure it may simplify it down a bit. Also kind of off subject, but is it worth it to build the upgraded extractors instead of the basic ones. I didn't really see what the increase was.
@kazadkaan161
@kazadkaan161 9 месяцев назад
I have myself simply grabbed the resources instead of waiting on them to be shipped. Manually crafted all the components. But, I did it between 5 planets after scooping up all the resources that aren’t on them. Then, I Manually craft zero wire on Latana 7, tout those to Gasparis in Lunara System (straight left from Latana System) where I built a Gold+Antimony outpost to manually craft the semi metal wafers, then on to Katydid for indicite Wafers, then Decaran 7b for Nuclear and finally Vytinium Fuel Rods… Letting Cargo Ships ferry resources in the meantime to then go do some lower effort Indice Wafers and then Vytinium Fuel Rod crafting. For what you are asking however, Your best bet would be an outpost producing the most base required resources in one place. It would have to have 4 or more of them in one outpost to make it work. Any four (or more) would do. I don’t know of any such planet but it could exist. It is possible to find a biome border of 3 biomes. I forget which video (or which resources were mentioned) I personally watched of someone showcasing a 3 biome border valley where you could get 5-6 resources. But, suffice to say, if a 3 biome crossover is possible, It wouldn’t then necessarily be impossible to find 4 or more biomes that border at one spot. But, to the best of my knowledge, Latana 7 has the most different required resources for this particular avenue of crafting xp grinding. Though, there might be one that could fit the bill (not easy to confirm or deny without a comprehensive database). On the subject of Latana 7, You could ship Indicite, Solvent, Caesium, and Antimony to your outpost producing Silver, Copper, Gold, and H3 which would then be enough to craft Indicite Wafers there (Zero Wire, then Semi-Metal Wafers, then Indicite wafers). But, you’d have used at least 4/6 of your cargo links and you’d have to ship another 3 materials namely Plutonium, Uranium, and Vytinium to ultimately be able to craft Vytinium Fuel Rods there. The next issue would be how incredibly unbearable the lag would become trying to have that many resources/components stockpiling in one place. The lag is bearable for me with 6 cargo links and about 400 total boxes. Any more and my game begins crashing regularly. Much less boxes if also using manufacturing machines. Also, the speed that all your resources get shipped in would be more limited since you working with less cargo links. For Instance, At Latana 7, you are already shipping in Antimony. Though you may then not be shipping out Semi-Metal Wafers, you’d be instead shipping in 3 other resources with the same cargo links the were previously shipping out a single component which would naturally just make it generally take longer to stockpile any given amount of any one resource as opposed to shipping down the line opening up more room to wiggle logistically speaking. More outposts and more steps to setting up the production line means more cargo links to work with. On that note, you could make even more outposts to potentially double up your operations without exceeding the max number of outposts to double the amount of crafting you can do ever so often; but, it is already incredibly laggy just to have the one 140k xp production line set up let alone another 3 outposts for the 200k which leads me to believe doubling up would be completely unviable lag wise.

As for your other question, generally, The Commercial Extractors (2nd best 2/3 in the list) produce 50% more and the Industrial Extractors (the best and 3rd in the list) produce 100% more in whatever time frame. These rate increases would be noticeable in small time frames but it would be hard to tell the difference between the different extractor grades while passing time on Venus. Then again, I did have to upgrade my Silver extractors to industrial to keep up with the number of Zero Wire machines I built to maximize their production so I didn’t have to wait as long for my Zero Wire Warehouses fo fill up; But, otherwise I haven’t noticed a significant difference.

Their own fault really. At first, i was setting extractors the way many games are doing it : install the extractor so it uses the biggest area of ressource for optimal output. But the game doesn't make calculations for that. You can lay as many as you want even if their extraction zone overlap they get the same output. To reduce the speed farming, they just had to link harvesters output to the footprint it uses in the ressource area. That would have reduced the ressource output of any given outpost by a factor of ten.

You can take this even farther I'm not sure about pc but when crafting inside a outpost with outpost links it lags and the right on dpad and holding right on the directional button won't actually work and only rb works it'll work sometimes I Manuel collect everything and take it all to the lodge but my main goal is craft yutinium fuel rods which give you the most exp per minute in the game plus you need craft a bed for well rested buff the fuel rods will give you 1089 per 99

Kibbles! Great Video, but I have an easier build for you that you probably are already working on for your next video.. You want to build a semimetal wafer farm on Lantana 7 by bringing in antimony (1 link). bring in solvent (2). add indicite (3). add caesium (4), add Vyntium (5) and finally add Uranium and plutonium on the same link (6). this lets you build 4 things for xp at this base... semimetal wafers, indicite wafers, nuclear fuel rods, and finally Vyntium Fuel rods. yeah, you need a bunch of skills, but, you can level on the way as you have shown in your other vids. Start with the semimetal wafer farm for xp if you want. cheers. also, antimony, caesium, plutonium and uranium (as well as solvent, i believe) are all available in narion system.

Kibbles did an amazing job figuring out the complex outposts to give you this XP, but also condensing what took me a dozen hours into a 45 min video. Because of the bugs that still exist in the game, my helium stops getting transported from planet to planet and stops all production. I've tried deleting output lines and cargo links but still have problems with helium transportation. If anyone knows of a fix, please reply. Until then Kibbles 40K XP per minute worked great and took much less time to setup.

Thank you for the guide, I know this one doesn't make as much XP as your later guide, but playing on Xbox I'm afraid to try the bigger one. I've read that even this one can cause lag so I'm trying to min/max my outpost production. No need to over produce on some materials if their production isn't being matched by the materials they need to be combined with. I'm not sure if there's variables that go into production rates aside from extractor level, but on my own save I found the following using a single level 3 extractors for each: Copper: 7.01/min Silver: 4.67/min Gold: 3.5/min Antimony 2.8/min Once again, not sure if these are always at this number or if it varies, but these were 1 extractor each and checking the listed production. Using these numbers it would take an extractor combo of 2 Copper, 3 Silver, 8 Gold and 10 Antimony for them to make a combined pile of resources to create the SemiMetal Wafers without having lop-sided leftovers of any individual resource. So over producing the lower tier resources would just create an over abundance and probably create unnecessary lag. Maybe I'm over thinking it, but working on trying this out.

At the end of the video you go from Katydid iii to Venus for the 2400UT rest cycle. Katydid iii also has 2400UT so no need to leave for that. Also, I don't know if it's the same on PC but you can build the freighter much bigger than you do and bring the LY travel way down. Build a second ship with 30LY travel. and a Landing pad with ship builder at your outpost. switch back and forth between the 2 ships for cargo and travel. the game will keep all the cargo on the freighter available even for the smaller ship. at least this works on xbox.
