Dude, this video must receive an award for being not only longer than quite a lot of commercial movies, but being far better done than them... This is a lost treasure in the history of Pokemon in RU-vid
Thanks!!! It was my first time trying to make a longer video back in the day. I definitely see it as rough around the edges more than anything, but I had a ton of fun making it
thanks so much!! You've gone EXTRA deep if you're back this far hahaha. I need to go back and rewatch a lot of this myself because I honestly don't remember most of this video
This is probably my 4th or 5th time watching this. I always come back to it. Absolute masterpiece of cinematography. Also, young Absol is a completely different character than current Absol, but it's nice seeing that growth.
Butterfree... A rather unremarkable Pokémon in it's own regard, acting solely as a new player's tutorial to evolution. However, what most seem to forget is that Butterfree does indeed have quite a lot going for it. With a nice assortment of Bug and Psychic moves at it's disposal, it can hold it's own very well.
It surprises me that absol continues to respond to comments from videos this old! It really shows his dedication and shows that he cares and pays attention to his fans.
RU-vid has brought me back, I really love all of your "movies" Matt, they have actually helped me through some stressful times and reminded me just how much I love Pokemon as well. Thank you for being so inspiring, by being passionate about the things you love without any worries. You are amazing! Keep it up!
Day 2 down. I have to say, I'm very impressed by this. You've executed it in a manner that contains important elements of the game while also capturing elements of your life. It's reminiscent of the Pokemon Blog style which I have to say I've missed. Great job!
This is why I love Matt's videos, they bring the YOU in RU-vid. You can feel his passion in these videos and the effort he does to make it the best he can. I love these videos they are infinitly rewatchable
That is one exotic table! Watching this continuously in one sitting has prepared me suitably enough for Openheimer next week. Loved the additional scenes in this reupload. And I love the shiny Shaymin I found for Week of Legends while watching! Cheers to many more videos and for the massive de ja vu from watching this so soon after watching the original.
Congrats!!! This is for sure the definitive version of the movie (though it is very long because I mostly made it because I wanted to make a long video LOL)
It’s Crazy even since his first movie Matt makes us feel like we are along for the journey without making us feel like a spectator rather we’re a friend. Thanks so much Matt for what you do!!
Been sooo long since I've watched this that I had to go back and see what you were talking about LOL Thanks so much! glad you were still able to enjoy this almost 8 year old video
@@AbsolBlogsPokemon I thought it was amazing to see how far you've come, and yet this is still amazing if less polished! Also it's really just soothing and relaxing to watch because I trust you to just have a nice time!
This video started auto playing after I watched a gauntlet video and I thought you had someone else dubbing as a joke until I continued watching the video. I had no idea what was going on until I seen the upload date 😂
15:10 If you would've went to the right of the old man and hugged the wall of the Pokémon Center, you would've had just enough moves to avoid blacking out. When your last Pokémon is poisoned this early on, FireRed turns into a puzzle game.
Hey Matt, I just wanna thank you for those videos! It's really a nostalgia trip to watch this little time capsule, really gets me thinking about the good old days 😊 and I'm glad I watch you to this day!
Still come back to this movie now and then; your Pokemon playthrough films are so well made and fun to watch! Also really appreciate all the Butterfree love! ❤️
I've commented a few times, gonna do it again. Give my bro Matt some praise. I'm 26, been playing Pokemon since Ruby and Sapphire. Two years ago I decided I was going to 100% every single main series title. (Along with Colosseum and XD) And I mean living dex's, all side quests, max star trainer cards, fame checker/pokethon/master contests you name it, if it can be done I plan on doing it. Like my Pokemon Home checklist is nuts. And many times in my now two year journey I've almost given up, but this man, can do level grinding gauntlets, shiny hunts/challenges and pour hundreds of hours into this franchise. And if that doesn't inspire me to keep going I don't know what will. Thanks man. Your videos are killer. Keep it up and so will I! I'll let ya know when I finish my ever growing and daunting task. To be the very best right?
I have finally found the guy mentioned in reviews that "makes Pokemon videos with a camera" The patience you must have. Nice work! Love the dog cameos haha
Thanks for all your movies man they always give me something to watch and rewatch when I'm shiny hunting, just chilling, or wanna procrastinate doing my homework
I’ve been taking more walks lately, been watching/listening to a lot of your vids for entertainment while I also play Pokémon go. Love these movies, crazy to see the growth over the years, but also the way things have kind of stayed the same. Keep up the great work!
So I’m not a long time fan I discovered you about a year ago I think. But I love your videos. I heard you lived In Louisiana witch is we her I live so that was cool. Not to mention you pokemon videos are soooo relaxing to watch never change man never change
I was thinking how I was going to watch this entire thing, and I decided to continue playing through Pokemon Yellow on 3ds while watching this. Had to do it in 2 sittings, but it was worth it.
A bit late to the party but your videos are really genuine and they have a very special feeling to them, it makes me really happy to see someone just show their love for pokemon without being afraid of it and putting it on the internet. Keep doing what you're doing!
The coolest thing to me when any of your old vids pops up on my feed, I know exactly how old we are and what phase of life we were in. I was in the fourth quarter of junior year of high school, not paying too much attention in school and playing a lot of MW2 in my basement lmao
I'm doing a marathon of your vids while I play Legends: Arceus and man, I got to be honest, you are one of the best content creators on youtube. I decided to post this coment on this vid cause I just realized you've kept the same quality FOR YEARS. This is 9 years old! You manage to perfectly portrait the experience of playing pokemon. It's not only about the game itself, it's also about where you were when you played it. I remember a trip I went on with my family in 2013 and I remember EVERY single thing that happened on that car trip cause I was playing pokemon White 2 as we were joking and laughing in during the ride, and it felt amazing and magical that could enjoy both a moment with my family AND get to play a game from the greatest video game franchise of all time. Congratulations man, from big fan!
I'm really liking these sorts of videos of yours. They seem more...personal than other traditional gaming videos. I also like the way you edit these as well (most gaming videos seem to be really jaring compared to these). These videos also show that really anyone can play these games and have a 'gaming channel' and not have the most expensive equipment to make it work. Also, love your use of music in these as well. Butterfree is such an interesting Pokemon to see used as well. I've seen solo runs with starters and Ratata's in these games, but never one of the bug types. I also think that Butterfree should've been Bug/Psychic type instead of Bug/Flying.
Nothing like old absol vids you missed back in the day! Amazing content transcends time man! Love the new and the old. Very inspiring all around my guy. Much love 👌 Edit: the twilight town music ❤️
I've been subscribed to your channel for months now and have sort of binge watched every video you made Haha The way you film videos is just so nice! No high quality things like expensive equipment and such just you and the camera, I'm a big fan of your videos even tho I'm not really that into pokemon but your videos has kept me very intrigued for so long Wish you the best man! And I hope you keep on creating! :>
Aye watching this for the first time in a moment of deep diving your videos and I’m 400th like exactly glad to be :) keep up the great work can’t wait for a sword movie to come!
im about 10 years late on watching this but i just found your channel and the videos are gold! at about 13 minutes in you talk about a wish which as complete come try! love to see this old content. thanks for sharing all your journeys with us.
still in the process of watching this one XD.. idk what it is about these blog videos, the music, the nostalgia, the scenery, but they totally give me old school Survivor vibes and im here for it
Going through a lot of AbsolBlogsPokemon and I see the camera on the glare of the screen and it doesn't really bother me because it just seems like part of the charm of the youtube channel is that he just goes places while doing these channels and I really enjoy the content. Keep it up!
I was the complete opposite on SB sunday, an anxious wreck! Last great season from my Giants 😭 Just a quick blast from the past while enjoying some old content. Man does time fly. I’m still playing as much fire red as I was then and always will!
My heart always stops for a second every time I hear ToS music in one of your older videos even though I've already watched them several times lol And I feel like I've probably commented this like ten times already but oh well...
What up matt, I know you sometimes check comments on old videos. About to binge all your movies, I've loved the ones I've seen before. You are a huge part of the reason I shiny hunt and play pokemon in general, thanks ☂️
