Yo Jese! I had a quick question. I'm currently on an i7 8700k and was thinking of upgrading my CPU. Would you say this would be an amazing upgrade? Other specs are DDR4 Ram (so if i was to do a 14900k i'd need ddr5 and a new mobo) and an rtx 3070. Let me know and keep up with the great content!

Why is the 7950X3D not using the X3D cores (the first 8 cores)? It's practically crippled and performance will be way worse in games. Did you install the latest AMD chipset driver and motherboard BIOS?

Not a bad choice. Ive got a 3900x but looking at 14700k. I don't care what i use but i think the ccx slows down ryzen. The ns latency on amd only goes to the high 50s or low 60s where on intel i see it easily go down to 30ns maybe lower.

My plan was to get a fresh intel cpu setup now, or upgrade to 5800x3d then buy 15th gen intel next year.

No the 13900k is pretty much the 14700k and the 14900k is a 13900ks with like 1-2% performance increase and a little better efficiency

He might have, ive found 14900k is basically equal to 13900ks. Check out pauls hardware for his 13900k vs 14900k video.
