Great video. I love the older plug and play ECU modules, too easy to deal with. On a 15-20 Nissan Rogue or any typical Nissan/Infinity product, if you copy all the data from the chip off the destroyed module and then manually modify the data that contains the VIN, and write that to a doner/junkyard module, will the car still run? In states where the digital VIN does not need to match the true VIN on the chassis, such as states with no emissions tests. I was always told that states with emissions that give an incorrect VIN during a smog are to be automatically disqualified. But then, I'll have a client with a very basic ECU that needs flashing the immo box and now it runs fine but comes back as the VIN from the doner and they tell me 6 months later when I see them for another job "Oh you are asking about that Lexus GS300 you did a while ago for us? Yeah It passed CA smog inspection, we just sold it last week"
