The Chinese language is loaded with idioms - most of which are bits of wisdom handed down through the ages. Most of these are called 'Chengyu', or 成语 in Mandarin.
In this video I have chosen 15 of my favorites that I keep in mind to help guide me through life. Whether it's helping me to keep things in perspective, motivating me, or assisting me in navigating troubled times - there are definitely a few Chinese idioms that everyone will surely love and find extremely helpful.

You should actually be more grateful for something the more you take it for granted because the more base to your life it is, which is why being readily grateful to exist and even have the ability to suffer is an aspirational level of insight 🙏

I think my favourite is 画蛇添足 in part because the literal meaning is very funny to me haha,,

Good stuff, some of them I try to follow without knowing the chengyu. It's almost like a religion. I wonder if there is an idiom of not taking everything to heart or seriously. It might already be implied with that list already as an interpretation.

对牛弹琴is more to describe talking to someone that lack of ability to understand the content. To describe reason with the unreasonable, 秀才遇见兵 is much closer.
