Love this video Ashlynne! My husband and I have been doing big clean ups of our home, and preparing our space physically and mentally for the new year and for some big changes we want to make. I have also been reflecting with my colleagues in my work about the year of work, and what we achieved. Its nice to look back and see what you have done, and then consider how you can push yourself in the future to be a more all-rounded human.
Love your ideas! I always spend December thinking about the upcoming year, doing things I’ve been procrastinating and don’t want to take into 2024, and doing a big declutter and tidy of my home. I also like to set a work of the year, and 2024 is going to be EASE. As humans, we unnecessarily complicate our lives, and I want to spend 2024 learning how to do the opposite.
Thank you for your suggestions. This year, i'm committed to redefining my life and exploring ways to improve. Inspired by the 15 suggestions, plan to break down into small tasks to accomplish throughout each day of the year.
Hi Ashlynne, discovered your channel towards the end of 2023. I absolutely love all of your ideas in this video & I love how you smile as you talk, it's so cute. lol
I just had a professional organizer help me with my art/craft space. It is lifechanging! I’m going to have her help me with my bedroom in the new year. I picked “MAGIC” for my word for 2024. I want to add more wonder + joy in my everyday life. I’ll be looking back and looking forward these next two weeks. I love new years! It always feels like a fresh start to me.
Talk about ideas that make me excited when it comes to starting off the year with a fresh start… Ashlynn, you are wise beyond your years!! Thanks so much for this great video!!
@AshlynneEaton I’m barely a minute into this video, and my question has nothing to do with the video but I’ve noticed that you’re very out of breath since you’ve announced your pregnancy. How are you feeling with everything? So excited for you and your husband! (My husband’s name is also Christopher! Does he also hate when people call him Chris? Lol) sending you and your family lots of love and praying for you and your new chapter! ❤
Another amazing video Ashlynne! Something I like to do towards the end of the year is write down just a few (maybe like 3-4) really big but achievable goals and then general intentions of what I want to do more of for the new year. One thing is reading more fiction novels! I love that it forces you to relax haha. Merry Christmas from Australia! 🎄✨
I saw someone on RU-vid NAILING the decluttering challenge by crossing out numbers of decluttered items in random (not consecutive) order. E.g. you donate 8 books on the 1st of the month, get rid of 15 audiotapes on the 2nd, then sell just one piano on the 3rd 😊 Another big flex is if you have a huge number of items you can split them in two days (e.g.33 pieces of clothing can be counted as 20+13) 😊
I like the 30 day declutter challenge and getting up a little earlier in 2024. I am always rushed on work days and getting up earlier always seems to work great for my time.
As a minimalist will you be using cloth diapers for baby boy?!! I love them 🤗 they're very satisfying once u get over the fact they can be overwhelming in the beginning but once u get a routine going it's so awesome
I love you and your videos! I am currently house sitting and animal sitting for my best friend and her family. They live in a neighborhood I use to live in with my parents and siblings years ago. It is always so good for me so I can rest, have quiet time, and reconnect with old neighbors, friends, and etc. I always look forward to doing this a few times a year. I'm away from home for almost two weeks. My health hasn't been great so this gives me time to rest. Its like a staycation for me. I remember when you went on that retreat. How fun!!! Happy New Year!
Such soothing practical suggestions you come up with in your gentle positive way. My life has changed for the better watching you. I get up earlier read more and am really decluttering my life and home.tky
I watched this video during Sunday breakfast (maybe a habit I should change?!) and although these are all things I’ve thought about, it’s very necessary to come back to them and reassess the way they could apply to life as it changes so fast! I always appreciate the way you give ideas without forcing things onto your viewers or making them feel like they’re failing, like some self-help content can do sometimes. You have a very kind and empathetic attitude!
Hi, Ashlynne! As much as I don't mind videos like this, I honestly would love to see you expand your niche a little and do more videos surrounding your other creative outlets like water coloring or sketching since minimalism doesn't have to be focused on just simplifying or finding things that don't add value. Would you be open to that suggestion? Thanks!
I try to include some more of that content in my vlogs! But with water coloring specifically, it’s something that I haven’t done as much this year. Need to get back into it. Thanks for sharing! 🤍🤍
Love this video. Thanks, Ashlynne for the great tips. I have been following your channel for the past couple of years, I love your content and the way you put out the content, such inspirational and calm videos.
This might be random, but I was wondering what you think of The Guest List, I saw you reading it at the end of the video. It’s so talked about and I would love to know your opinion.
