Chapters 22 + 23 | The Tribe + Fracture

I thought House Mars’s theme could do with the spotlight, so I went ahead and wrote that instead of trying to represent the events in the above-mentioned chapters. For those of you who wondering who some of these characters are, I've got you covered (L-R): Sevro, Cassius, Darrow, Roque, Antonia, Lea, Quinn, Titus
If anyone can guess which piece of music this composition is inspired by, you might get a laugh out of it. Comment below if you think you have the answer.
I do not own Red Rising, just my crazy musical headcanons.

I just discovered you like 30 min ago and have been trying to cram listening to everything at once while also telling everyone I know about this. I love Red Rising so much and I find it incredible that you are doing this. Everything about your work is amazing!!

You highlighted the characters relevant to the story progression in chronological order. Nice touch and medley! That way it’s easier to identify the scene that inspired each theme.

Hey, I just want to comment how brilliant your soundtrack is! The contrast between Red traditional music and grand Gold overtures sets the scene of the novel wonderfully, and I love a good string backbone to any soundtrack, which you added in abundance. Your Song of Persephone is so heart-wrenchingly beautiful, I just love it! Also, I heard the references to Holst's Mars, the Bringer of War immediately (even before reading your description lol). Thank you for putting so much time into composing this!

Hey, thanks! I'm glad you appreciated the contrast. I thought it was important that the two worlds sounded as far removed as possible and fit the culture of their respective Colours. And YES, probably biased as a former string player, but I wanted the strings to represent Darrow and the Reds, and be central to the soundtrack. (I see them as the backbone of the orchestra just as Reds and other lowColours are the backbone of the Society). Haha, the Holst references were too tempting to resist. I have no regrets. Thank you so much for your lovely and insightful comment!

I post all on my instagram account dedicated to Red Rising, @luofmars. And your videos really inspire me by creating an immage of the caracters that help me with how they should look
