This video helped me greatly happy days. Now i know were I went wrong in my test. I hit 3 pedestrians, drove up a ramp into the open back of a furniture truck and and had a few Jagers too many before starting my test. I learned my lesson and wont fail again ;-)
passed my test there last week, 2nd time lucky. I noticed from both tests, the testers prefer if you use your handbrake more. Instead of staying in 1st gear when stopped they prefer if have your hand brake up. Just a heads up.
I watched this video several times and even before my actual exam to relax myself and I passed my Irish exam yesterday! Thanks for sharing this video!!
You don't have to stop at any junction if it is safe & the way is clear (unless there is a STOP sign). It's perfectly ok to keep rolling slowly & with care.
Nonsense. You're always advised NOT to indicate when going straight through a mini roundabout. The reason is simple: Because of the roundabout's size, by the time you indicate to exit off the roundabout you are pretty much already off it. If exiting to the right or left you DO signal on the approach and keep that signal active until off the mini roundabout. Signalling on a mini roundabout is different to regular roundabouts.
I just passed my test today in Raheny, all i did was to watch all your videos 2 hours before the test. Thanks very much for these very well presented online lessons!!! :)
Watched this video lastnight and passed first time round with no lessons, in Waterford, this morning. Excellent video , informative and straight to the point driving by the instructor (Gavin). Watch and listen to them all
Had mine yesterday. Made a balls of somethibg. 3 grade 2s and 1 grade 3 😂 raging. If you haven't done the test before.. its not as bad as you think! Just a note though, that some of the instructors are getting out of the car for the reverse around the corner (something to do with covid? Idk) but its giving some people a fright. Mine didn't but saw another one do it before me.
Amy Louise yeah had mine yesterday got 1 grade 3 absolutely bullying waited 4 months for nothing instructor also got out of the car whilst doing the around the corner will 100% pass next time good luck on yer next exams
These videos are great, thanks for uploading these. Have my driving test in the morning, took 2 lessons and one pre lesson in the morning before the test. Yoir videos have cleared up alot of questions I had, thanks again.
Driving test in Ireland is ridiculous ... tester is not accountable to anyone and can't be sued ... basically the test is not recorded on the video and they can do whatever the hell they want... i find it to be dodgy when someone has so much power, and no i do not believe in professional integrity of these guys.
This video and the driver is the best. Have been doing driving test since 2008 watched several video and bought number of dvd drive test they were never helpful. I started watching this video 16 days to my test. Yesterday I passed my full licence test with the help of this video and the driver. He is a very good instructor. He knows how to explain about driving in details if you follow his instructions. Thank you man. I really appreciate you. I wish I know his name.
Just passed my test in Dundalk. Fund these videos extremely helpful. Didn't take any real life lessons this time and haven't had a lesson since I last failed over two years ago. Thanks very, very much!
I failed mine three times. I'd recommend getting a few lessons and practise on your own a few times, the driving test in Ireland is ridiculously difficult and Strict. I can't wait to put my N plates up! 😥
He enters the junction while the light is green, giving him control of the junction while waiting for oncoming traffic to clear. He was correct to proceed with the right turn and clear the junction even though light turned red. Lights only control the entrance to a junction not the exit.
A mini-roundabout is treated exactly the same as a normal one. Not indicating on exit of a mini roundabout is a UK rule NOT Irish, you can get a grade 2 fault for this on a test
Anthony McPherson1 year ago "There is one main problem I have encountered in this video. Most intersections you have not come to a complete stop. In my country that would be a straight fail no questions asked". It is not always necessary to come to a complete stop at a yield sign, for example, at an intersection. Come to a full stop at a stop sign of course (failure to do so will result in an immediate fail), but a yield sign allows a degree of leeway if their is no competing traffic. A degree of fluidity, within the boundaries of the roles, makes for better progress and a smoother driving experience overall. You seem to say that wherever you're from (America? Africa?) takes a different view. While this is of mild comparative interest, it is ultimately irrelevant as the rules of the road are set out in the Road Traffic Act (as amended) applicable in Ireland, not elsewhere!
just keep cool about it mate . its not easy yes as the decision remains in their hands , just tell him or her you are the greatest until you get your licence .hope this helps . i totally agree with you safety should always come first .
I just passed my test today 2nd time Tnx to my wonderful instructor nd friend John nd Tnx to ur videos it helped me gain confidence I was feeling very nervous. Tnk u
@Strange things are happening to Woody you can get a grade 2 on them, so you can get three grade 2 on stuff that isn't about your actually ability as a motorist, one more and you fail automatically because if you get four grade 2 on the same thing you fail
I passed my test first time. And frightened the tester on the hill-start because the handbrake on my car was different to the norm. He saw me put the car in neutral and come off the footbrake.... but hadn't seen me apply the handbrake and half panicked because he thought it was about to roll back. Making the tester jump out of his seat is generally a bad thing.
JTS I got the same mark for being in 4th gear on an 80km road that I’ve always been instructed to stay in 4th gear on. I believe these marks are purely political.. I now refer to my tester as “Captain Planet”
well i found the video quite informative, thank you for that, i dont have a test coming up for driving, just applied recently enough for my theory which is in april, so i hope some of the things i seen in the video correspond to the questions that pop up as a as spark or a trigger and be like ... oh yeah its this... i seen it :)
Clover its an opinionated thing really, no rules concerning it, my instructor teaches to not make the click for the simple reason that he doesnt like the sound, ive seen some other instructors make the click themselves
yeah, where did that speed come from? And did you see the road they said that on, there were bumper to bumper parked cars on both sides with space for only one vehicle between them lol
It's 30km in residential area but I have seen some old videos where they are talking about 50km so maybe it was allowed driving at 50km In some residential areas few years back.
@@frankeeirish04 Be careful there. I literally got failed solely for doing 30-35 on some estate roads. No joke. An absolute wanker of a tester who should have been fired. But alas, they have no accountability so the whole test itself is just luck on the draw. A joke.
+nakul w I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else is searching for anxiety about driving try Debuncar Fearless Drive Aid ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.
Top of the mornin to ya..There are so many irregularities in this vid that it would take me all day to go through them. I note that it's titled as a Sample Test though. But how could an unqualified driver arrive at the driving test centre by car..unaccompanied?
honestopinion2012 I was a DSA Driving Examiner for 26 years so no, I am not 'a bit slow'. We saw muppets like you every single day, and it was a real joy to tell them they had not passed the test.
