Another wonderfull video mate. Please keep in mind that rubbish signals can mask larger deep signals,so please move them if you can. People see rubbish on or near surface and keep walking because they are tired and dehydrated. I will be thinking of you and this area for days now, wish I was there. Thanks.
Im hearing ya..... The prospectors who find nearly every big nugget these days all say they thought the target was rubbish at first... And as you say, there could be nuggets beneath the junk on top... Any ways, ill be back.. Cheers mate. JG
Thanks for the advice HY. Dad always says to me the that our greatest enemy is time itself.... Im glad you get enjoyment out of my vids. I do it for blokes like you, who cant, for what ever reason, get out there and get the gold. All the best. JG.
No haven't been out on the gold since got back from up the Cape, not much about close to here in the Bay, lot of family stuff going on, will be a few months before get back at it, not sure were at present, would like to get back over to the West, but maybe north Queensland for a while. generally get to Vic for a few weeks, visit family ect and try and finds a few bits while down there. Hope those beeps keep coming for you. Cheers. eter.
Awesome work. The worst thing about spots like that is you get spoiled and then the nugs run out :-) Hopefully you find a few more mullock heaps like that first one!
Cheers Nenad, yeah nothing worse when the gold stops flowing... It could be weeks before another nuggets is discovered... Ah well..... thats gold. Cheers mate. Hope youre getting a few. JG
Very nice J. I enjoy your videos mate, thanks for sharing. I think you have some hours to put in on that spot before you clean it up. All the best Rick
Yeah right, ive never used one before. Thanks for the advice.... Might have to invest in one one day... Good luck out there mate. Hope youre getting a few. JG
Great start to the year. You must do good research to hone in on a new area and do so well. Congrats. I still need to wait til towards end of March to get to GT.
Just persistence I find gets me the best results. I'm no expert, just dedicated.... and lucky. haha. Probably a better time to get out here..... Its bloody hot right now. Good luck!!. JG
Yet another great video Jay. I would love for you to do a video on how to research an area for detecting. Clearly i dont expect you to list your favourite sites but would love to tap into your expertise if possible. Cheers for the great videos. I will look forward to your response soon. Rick Shaw
+Rick “Gold Digger” Shaw Gday Rick, thanks for your suggestion. I've been thinking of making a few instructional vids, a few people have been asking for them... so stay tuned, I reckon I might do one in the coming moths. Cheers. JG
I doubt it! Mine is a pig sometimes.... you really have to back the sensivity off to low digits if the grounds mineralised.......Which, surprisingly,. doesnt really affect it's performance... Give it a try. Good luck. JG
great vid, when searching for new areas, do you look for quartz vein first then, surrounding areas, or are you following leads and workings? Theres an area I'm looking at, its very steep, do you think its worth while detecting the slope( its almost 45 deg), theres mining drives in a few spots, the mullock heaps are about 200m from the mine, one heap produced 6 tiny nuggets , running SDC, well enough picking your brain, keep the vids coming cheers
I do look for quartz, but its not always an indicator of gold. If old workings are close by (within a couple hundred meters) i give the area a solid working over. Sometimes days spent in the same location.... Im not to sure about deleting a very steep slope, if so, work left to right as opposed to up and down, as the gold will be concentrated in a thing band running downhill.... but 45deg seems physically demanding. If youre running an SDC, id stick to old workings, surfacing and exposed wash/shallow ground rather then looking for deeper gold. Hope thins helps, and keep me posted. Good luck. JG
pretty much a cliff face, there are trenches running across, found a tiny pc (0.03) in the slate, but am wondering if they mined the hill and took all down to wash and puddle, its a strange area, i "feel" there might be a bit there, its very steep all the workings are in a kind of valley, if i find more, i'll hire a GPZ and run that over the area, cheers
Theres a chance they worked the area, the ground can look very different 150- years later.... where theres one piece, youll most likely find more.. Keep me posted. JG
gday mate im from bendigo, what detector would u recomend for a beginner. been wanting to get into it for ages but dont know which one to start with. garret or minelab. im not rich so havent got alot of $. cheers
Gday Blake, if you can afford a good secondhand SDC2300 thats a good starting machine. The gold monster 1000 is just new, so ive not got much info on it.... Also, the Garret ATX (i think thats whats its called) is not a bad machine.
I am in Russia, we have lots of gold here in Magadan and Yakutia, do you think I will make a living finding gold with GPZ7000 ? Many people say you could search your whole life for a nugget and never find anything.
