@@leonardomejia550 It is pretty hidden. I didn't find it on my first playthrough and probably never would've known if not for the internet. Main reason being it's hard to look at such random spots when massive balls of fire are being thrown at you.

I was half tempted to add the DLC access to the list, but i think it might be better to just make a video on it by itself

Honestly and this is no joke unfortunately. I've played all three dark souls and the first remastered on the switch and just brought remastered on the Xbox and only found out yesterday there's dlc for dark souls 1 💀

@@libralonix good, honestly s tier story telling (previous favorite game was shadow of the colossus, expectations high) and the combat was awesome. I found the ending to be very powerful, and it is still at the forefront of my mind. The only thing I didn’t like were the hit boxes and tomb of the giants, blighttown was manageable but holy shit every time I hear “tomb of the giants” I get flashbacks man lol

@@applejuice8173 That's awesome, really glad you enjoyed it. Whats your plan next? I personally would highly recommend playing the series in order, DS2 does get a lot of hate (most of it unwarranted and just people jumping on the bandwagon, but it is a very good game), but it does have some more hitbox issues, and in some cases they can be worse than in DS1, but overall its a great game, and has a much bigger scope than DS1. Shadow of the Colossus is a banging game too, i played it when it first came out on the PS2, and also have played the PS4 remake too and both versions are just breath-taking. Tomb of the giants CAN be a nightmare, luckily on my first playthrough I already had the sunlight maggot helm (which lights up the area) so i've never had to joys of playing it completely in the dark. I would definitely recommend getting it or the skull lantern for future playthroughs!

This video mainly focussed on areas hidden behind illusionary walls, but your 100% right, this would be a great addition to a future video!

Same here, although I recently found out that you can exit the forced Seath fight, where he captures you after killing you. Turns out, you're able to exit through the fog gate again!

@MB-jq1uh Yeh this was a fairly recent discovery for me too, I covered it on one of my other "dark souls secrets" videos. It still amazes me how many little quirky things the devs put in these games!

Its such an easy one to overshoot, but sticking to the outer wall really does help guide you

The trick is to just walk off. Don't run and don't inch. Just walk off at normal speed.

Or the elevator key, shit's convoluted AF.

@@IrvineTheHunterI mean the elevator key is explicitly told to you if you go to Logan. Just because most people have the master key doesn't mean it's the only way to open his cage. It is weird that the master key works on his cage but not the elevators given it's the same lock. The key is also in a very easily accessible area, all you have to do is go down a staircase. But yeah the bonfire is pretty sneaky. I would not have found it if it wasn't for messages.

The Sens bonfire is a sneaky little one, i can add that onto the next video (more secrets to come)!

Even though i unlocked the elevator on my first playthrough, i never actually used it. I'll definitely need to test it to see how useful it is on the next run

@@libralonix it's really useful if you don't immediately go through Anor Londo. The elevator takes you directly to the first axe pathway in the fortress. It's really nice when you go back to do some things before facing O and S.

Not just 1 named area, but 2! I completely missed it on my first playthrough, and tbh i wasn't too thrilled when i did find it on the 2nd playthrough, too twisty and windy and full of curses!

@@libralonix I was actually kinda surprised by how the illusory walls were easy to find on ds1, normally is in a "obvious" place, or there's some kind of hint, like in the fire place one, there's a window where you can see through the passage. I think it's because my first souls game was Bloodborne, after finishing It, I discovered I missed whole areas and the entire dungeon mechanic 💀

To be fair, it is hidden pretty well! But on the plus side, ,now you have a new boss to fight! 😎

I sont know if you'll see this bro but slaying the giant princess in her chamber turns Anor Londo "dark" amd opens a whole secret story kind of. That story also includes the Gwendolyn fight at the end

It is a sneaky lil bonfire in the Catacombs isn't it, i had such a rough time on my first playthrough because I didn't know about that one or the Blacksmith bonfire! Knowing about them definitely make the area a little less daunting!

So for me, I only started the series at the start of last year when all the servers were down, so i had to find most of this stuff without any of the clues! I didn't find either of the catacomb bonfires on my first 2 playthroughs, so for me that area sucked! I still put it off for as long as I have to on new playthroughs!

@@user-us3ic8sx6x Yeh the mimics breathing was one i knew about before, although some of them can still be sneaky and take way too long to breath, been burnt by that one! I'm actually doing my first ever enemy and boss randomiser on Twitch this week, so i will keep an eye out for the Chanellers aura of power! Thanks for the tip!

The chain on the chest also points the opposite directon from a normal chest if it's a mimic. That's how I could tell them apart, until I memorized their locations.

I completely missed it on my first playthrough, and then when i found it on the 2nd run, i was kinda glad i missed it first time round. I do agree, i wish they had done more with it. After getting through the Great Hollow, Ash Lake feels like a bit of a let down

In ash lake there usually is messages if you are online so there is that. I found also almost all of them. Only thing i googled was how to get to DLC since it is kinda weird you have to go that spot like 2-3 times to portal to appear

There's a spot where you can SEE this bonfire (in between cracks in the wall), and it's a big tease because you can't get to it from there.

Depending on what you’ve done in your playthrough, there’s also a Patches interaction right above the bonfire room.

@@frankgrimes7388 Its funny you mention that, I don't remember finding Patches here on my first few playthroughs, and then on my most recent Boss Randomiser run I did he was up there. Do you know what the requirements are to make him appear here?

To my knowledge the only one that was added in the remastered version is the Bonfire by Vamos The Blacksmith (but that's not on this video). Really glad the video managed to surprise you, thanks for watching!

I'm in a very fortunate position where I get to spend 8 hours a day playing video games, so being able to attempt these "blind" is a luxury most gamers just don't have the time for. Personally, I am so glad i managed to do them this way though, the feeling of accomplishment for literally doing anything was amazing, and the only game i had played even remotely similar before hand was Jedi Fallen Order, so you can imagine how unprepared i was!

The alternate Sif scene is sad times indeed!

@@libralonix well I look everywhere including places that may or may not kill me to see if it holds a secret like for one the balcony at stromveil castle I thought for seconds it'll kill me but found out it lead me to a crucibal knight but if there is new places I've never been before wouldn't hurt to share in the experiences of others to find them myself

While ash lake is nothing to write home about, its definitely worth a visit, you'll find a familiar mini-boss and an extra covenant hiding a secret weapon! On the note of the blacksmith, during my first playthrough i didn't find the 2nd or 3rd bonfire in the catacombs making it an absolute nightmare for a souls noob.

That catacomb bonfire makes a big difference too (at least it did for me), the catacombs was a pain in the backside on my first playthrough without it!

There is a floor message for the first one, but I'm pretty sure i got lucky on my first playthrough and happened to be wearing the Sunlight Maggot helm as i was exploring the area, and voosh it appeared.....or disappeared!?!?

If they are the FuturePress guides they are an absolute must have for any fan, personally i like to play the games blind on a first playthrough, but its great to learn all the secrets after a few playthroughs of exploring!

I totally missed the izalith bonfire on my first run too, made it hell doing runs to Bed of Chaos!

@@libralonix short story I played DS1. Someone invade me . Left me 100k soul's got to O&S couldn't get past them . Never went back🤦

@Conpauleonina I can completely appreciate that, my first playthrough of the souls games was when the servers were down, so I'm not a huge fan of the Invasion mechanic. Maybe give it a go offline? O&S are also a huge roadblock for all first players, but with a bit of practice you will let through them, one small tip is focus on one of them at a time, and I found pyromancy very handy against orstein in my SL1 run, absolutely melted him!

I was the same on my first playthrough, the amounts of times i had to do the run back from the fire centipede all the way to bed of Chaos! Felt like a right plonker when I found it 2nd time round lol

I personally find it easier to handle the enemies in the tunnels as you know exactly where they are coming from, once your in the large chamber with the contraption it feels like they fly at you left right and centre! Each to their own 😎
