Aprovechar algo (to take advantage of something, non-reflexive, transitive verb) can be expressed with the form aprovecharse de algo (same meaning, reflexive).

For me, the most interesting use of the word acordar is when it is left unsaid. When someone asks you simply, "¿Estamos?", they're probably asking you if, "¿Estamos de acuerdo?" It's strange how Spanish speakers usually leave de acuerdo unsaid but a pro would ask the question, "Are we in agreement?", using just one word. ¿Estamos, @DreamyLuke?

He empeorado=I've gotten worse. Empeorar=to get worse. It's important when presenting information on language to be accurate when expressing conjugated and infinitive forms, as well as compound forms such as present perfect (as in, he empeorado).

It's not "far away in your journey", @DreamyLuke. It's "far along in your journey". Far away in your journey would kind of mean the opposite of what you're trying to say. It would mean that you have a long way to go in your journey yet.

@@DreamyLuke Many are what I consider intermediate level words. I knew them all but I don’t regularly use all of them. I will have to list them and add them to my most recent list to practice new vocabulary even though they are not new to me. I am intermediate and just need to speak with higher educated people maybe.

@@JuanMoreno-wo5yb Agreed, they are not so simple words. Several were irregular like agradezco, acuerdo etc. De acuerdo, no son palabras tan sencillas. Muchas fueron palabras irregulares, como agradezco , acuerdo etc

I bombed it, but it was a good diagnostic test as I going to go ahead and build on my schooling and become fluent in Spanish. I expect success because I just spent three years doing it in French with much less formal schooling. I know all the French equivalents so I will work on the Spanish equivalents now. 😊 I have clicked like and subscribe. I know that is important for content creators.
