No man, he’s playing that shit. His left hand is below camera, but if you watch his upper arm you can see the muscles moving in time with the snare hits. It’s all him. It’s just a different camera angle to focus on his vocals. His arm is in the same position in the wider shots - it’s just down at his side and most of his movement is actually in his lower arm and wrist. He has really good form - you can tell he knows what he is doing.
