@@abhaysharma9317 they started these businesses decades ago. Possible reasons could be: a) family connections in Indonesia b) good opportunity for the business in Indonesia they were trying to set up. c) Indonesia is considered to an investor friendly country.

I don't think he is a self-made man as he had a rich family background(not sure if that was on paper or off paper but his family was rich and you can say he was born with silver spoon) also he had very nice political connections which he used to buy or set up his 1st company in Indonesia at the age of 26. No doubt he has worked very hard to take it to the big level and he should be appreciated for that but I was just trying to correct facts you have mentioned.
No doubt Lakshmi Mittal is one of the greats but he wasn't exactly self made. His family had a business too and he definitely wasn't poor. His family might be middle class is UK but in India they would qualify as pretty rich. Also because of his family's business he always had security. When you have financial security its easier to run a business confidently.
Well that was his advantage whuch he figurded and used it as an edge , the real question is whats your andvantage and how will you actually take "advantage of it?"
Instead of spending $55 million on his children wedding Lakshmi Mittal should have spent that money on the clean environment of his factory and the accident safety of his factory to avoid pollution an the death of his workers. Politicians work for billionaires businessman, UK prime minister Tony Blair lobby for Mittal to buy the Romanian steel industry and connection in France politic help merger with Arcelor.

Ahhh loadsa brits and european propaganda also mixed in... I used to live in UK at the time of Arcelor takeover... And the negative, outright racial, jealousy propaganda shit they spread (that most english were and are, and dont see a chance that they will ever get out of these traits)... Key here is steel industries have that nature (most of last century industries) and most of plants were not Oxygen generating before they were aquired
