I would expect that the oldest person to ever live was in Chile because my great great grandmother before she died she was 116 and she was from Chile and this was kinda carried on in the family for generations my other great grandma lived until 100 and my grandmother now is 94

Just sending radio signals will take hundreds (if not thousands) of years, and then waiting for the return message will take at least that much time. Therefore, we are effectively alone. That means that the accessible universe is ours to explore and develop as we see fit.

I've had some interest in Chile recently. Is it because its flag is similar to that of my home state of Texas? Yes. But I also like how it has some of the highest living standards in Latin America. And there's the fact that it's home to the largest Palestinian population outside the Middle East. I'd really like to visit the country. I'd even date a Chilean woman.

18 things you didn't know about Chile. number 16: the letter E in Castilian Spanish is always and only pronounced as the same E in the English words bed, red and Ted. Therefore, Chile is neither pronounced as chili nor as chilay the way the narrator did. Rather, as Chile with the E just like in red, bed or Ted. number 17:There is no A as in Apple nor A as in say, bay, way, and okay. The letter A in Castilian Spanish is always and only pronounced as the A in English in the word ahhh. Such as when a doctor or nurse sticks a wooden flat spoon in a person's mouth and tells the person to"say ahhh". Numerous and countless times I've observed conversations between Spanish (Castilian) speakers and American English speakers. As they Converse in American English, I never once heard the Spanish speaker pronounce any English words containing the letter E , as the A in bay, say or way. Especially the name Jose. I clearly hear him pronounce letter E just like in bed, and red or Ted, yet for some unknown reason I still hear his name repeated back as hozay. number 18: letter Z in Castilian Spanish is pronounced as letter S in English.There is no English pronunciation of letter Z in Castilian Spanish. Zorro is actually pronounced as sorry. Note: Spain has several languages such as Catalan, Castilian, Galician, etc. What most American English speakers call the language Spanish, is actually called Castilian. (This is the language of the castles).I always cringe when I hear Castilian vowels pronounced improperly. Of course the ones whom don't mind remaining ignorant will invariably exclaim"so what, big deal".I say ok, remember ,it's no big deal when a foreigner speaks American English utilizing the vowel and consonant pronunciations of their native language.. So please all you weones out there, forget how American English language movies and television pronounced what they call Spanish. Instead, listen to the way the native speakers actually pronounce vowels and consonants so that you don't end up sounding like neither a weon or a pelotudo.
