All because of marketing. That's the only reason diamonds mean anything. Back when it mattered engagement rings were NOT of diamond kinds. Smh shallow!
Alux you did mention that Diamond are not rare rather it was the De Beers who stock piles ll the diamond in order to create the artificially inflated prices...
Proud of you Alux. Happy that you mentioned that. I’m Indian. Kohinoor diamond was indeed STOLEN by the British from India. And yes, it is an Indian who saved Jaguar Land Rover facing from bankruptcy. I guess In some video, you mentioned, the top luxurious cars, belong to UK. The Land Rover was a British company. If Ratan Tata had not bought the company, you know it.
There is probably truth in comments about using diamonds as an investment how ever I bought something about 10 years ago turn out it did increase in value by 60%
these big diamond industries holds and manage the supply of diamonds just to create high demand and low supply, which in returns increases the prices of diamonds!
Im a millenial and i love diamonds. Need the argyle pink. In 10 years will be double triple the price. in 2020 will closed its mines coz so rarely to fund.
Hey Alux, Probably not where this should go, but, I want to be successful, I was on the right track last year, but then shit happened. I let my emotions get the better of me. Got another job but hated it, left that one, Got another, there for nearly 2 months and I was fired/quit today. (I was told to leave, I assumed I was fired, they said if I left then I was quitting even though they told me to leave....) I've walked out on other jobs before due to being frustrated... What is wrong with me, or people like me,... I know, eat shit for now to eat delicacies later. I just don't seem to be able to make it. I let stress build and it explodes out all at once, despite my best efforts. Hell, my motivations for getting rich are because I want to use the wealth to help people. But it seems I can't even help myself. I've read some of the books y'all have recommended, Been trying to get a salesman position to learn salesmanship. Have two interviews for such this week, but I'm afraid I'll make the same mistakes. I just don't know how else to do things, but I know saying that just sounds like an excuse. I'm afraid I'm destined to be a miserable wreck that accomplishes nothing with his life.
Don't worry, it's all part of the process, this is you dealing with the reality of it. You're on the right track! Some of us, aren't even on the track, let alone going the opposite direction. Stay positive my friend, all of this is just lack of inexperience, before you know it you'll look back and laugh
My first engagement ring had a 1.25 carat center stone. While replacing the hard drive in my computer, I accidentally hit the stone against a sharp metal edge and nicked the diamond. So much for diamonds are forever. Later in life, my husband bought me a 3.4 carat diamond of very high quality. I was scared to wear it daily and only wore it for special occasions. I then fell in love with moissanite. I bought a 2.1 carat equivalent stone and this is my favorite piece. The stone is a hundred times more beautiful than my larger diamond. The flashes of color are incredibly breathtaking. I have other diamond in the yellow ranges and I love them better as well. I like the warmth rather than the stark coldness of a D color diamond. So, there are my personal preferences. Also, I detest wasting money and therefore have dealt directly with a diamond broker in L.A.'s diamond district. He has helped me get the best stones for a fraction of what they would cost through Tiffany's and the like.
why even broker when you can purchase from wholesale factory.. we are based in Surat, India where 90% of the Diamond are manufactured and that is the reason we have it at the best price compare to others..
I was disappointed that they didn’t show pics of the Coronation Crown and the Scepter. They mentioned the pieces without showing them. Seems like they could have easily found pics to use. I knew almost all of the things they mentioned because I worked in the fine jewelry industry for 10 years and still study jewelry, gemstones, and diamonds as a hobby.
I think diamonds are worth the price because they are hard to mine and hard to create. I like Diamonds because it is a form of wealth that is low maintenance and easy to transport. It is wonderful that the ashes of dead body can be transform into blue diamonds.
if diamonds are so rare, how come almost every woman in the world own at least one diamond stone, regardless of it's size and quality. Diamonds are rare is one of the biggest scam in human history.
If it wasn't for De Beers, Botswana would still be the poorest country in the world and South Africa would also be much poorer. Lots of sour grapes from competitive companies that came later but all in all De Beeers have done the world a favour and uplifted 3rd world countries employing millions of people and setting the standards for diamond production, security and marketing. Look at all the countries where diamonds have caused conflict forever selling diamonds to weapons dealers. De Beers initiated and set the standard for Diamond control and are an ethical and great company.
Diamonds are only worth it in engineering or production. For example, using it to cut things, and maybe using lasers with it, and things like that. Otherwise, it's useless.
It’s a scam. The industry wants us to believe that diamonds are SO rare, but it’s not true. Of course they are beautiful to look at, but not that rare.
Great video.ive had enough of footballers. Blah blah, grew up poor, blah blah football talent. Went on to make millions in club football and still behaved or got addicted to something .
Diamonds are intrinsically worthless. The value is artificially inflated due to DeBeers and others limiting the supply. If you cannot tell the difference between a man-made diamond, moissanite, or a real diamond, why waste the money?
In this video, y'all said Mariah Carey's Engagement ring was $13,000,000. But in y'alls "15 Most Expensive Engagement Rings" video, y'all said that her engagement ring was only $10,000,000. So...Which is it?
make a video: How to write a book. it's about 36% of the population of college students who want to write a book. it's a win-win situation. Help us and we will help you to promote.
with the exception of historical diamonds, they are worth about 30% of what you pay for them. unless they are special they are not an investment. you cannot afford historical diamonds unless you are stupid. my insurance company, USSA, says they are NOT an investment
Only small portion of the best quality diamonds gain in value. The rest are inferior and people are paying too much for this shiny hoax. Synthetic diamonds for 80% of the natural diamond sounds good enough for this diamond-PR masquerade. If I was a girl, I wouldn't let my man buy an overpriced stone, which depreciates immediately after leaving the store.
Diamond is just pieces of Carbon. They are worthless. Da Beers mastered marketing and sold people on some BS. Then they also forced dealers to accept envelopes of diamonds or else they wouldn’t be invited back to the dinner, which is where DaBeers forces top tier carbon to high level dealers.
