Covid low-key leveled the playing field and games that could've been blowouts under normal circumstances ended up being good games. Not just this week but had not it been for the whole virus thing, a lot of the good games this year, probably would've been blowouts As much as we hate how 2020 has been, we were able to see some good games out of it

Yes actually. Until 1982 Usc and Ucla shared the Coliseum so when they played they both wore their home uniforms. It went away for quite a while and Pete Carroll suggested to renew the tradition. Its been back ever since. I love how it looks!

Both schools claimed the Coliseum as their home. When UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl in 1982, the tradition died because the underlying justification was no longer present. During the Pete Carroll-Rick Neuheisal era, the schools decided to revive the tradition due to its aesthetic beauty and nostalgia. By then, however, the NCAA mandated one team wear whites and the other colors. So when USC took the field at the Rose Bowl in their home cardinal uniforms, they automatically forfeited a timeout. To reciprocate, Neuheisal burned a timeout even though as the home team he didn’t need to. The following season, same thing happened vice versa until the NCAA relaxed the rule.

In college, fair catches are automatically positioned at the 20-25 yard line. Rule change to reduce injury on kickoffs.

Fair catch on a kickoff takes it to the 25, regardless of where it's caught. But yes, it was still smarter to try to run it back since they probably weren't going to drive most of the field in less than a minute
