I am 23 years old and I adore vintage perfumes. I love Calvin Klein Obsession, Guerlain Shalimar and Dana Tabu, but my favourite is YSL Opium(vintage 1977 version). You'll rarely find musky-spicy perfume these days, all you'll get nowadays is the same vanilla-fruity-caramel crap.

Fun fact about the Joy fragrance, it takes about 10,000 jasmine flowers to make 30ml of perfume, plus all of the other flowers in it.

My Dad and I got my Step Mum a bottle after all these years. His last anniversary on this earth with her. It was a very touching, moment to be apart of. Joy, will always have a special place in my heart. Ty for sharing this. Wondered what made it so wonderful.....

That's why Joy is so pricey, but it's one of my favorites. A friend once gave me a large bottle as a gift back in the 1980s, I made that perfume last as long as possible.

I miss old Hollywood movies and stars and have fond memories of my sisters and I sitting in front of our b&w TV watching our favorite movies. I also love vintage perfume if you can find a vintage formulation that hasn't turned. Many have been reformulated and so many times they're barely recognizable, except Youth Dew, I can recognize that a mile away.

Olivia De Havilland was amazing in The Snake Pit. It was heartbreaking to see what was going on with mental health treatment at that time. I was disappointed to find she didn't win the Oscar for that role.

I have always been Audrey Hepburn ‘s fan since I was little. Last year I bought L’interdit by givenchy after I learnt that it was Audrey’s signature scent. It was love at first sniff. So glad I own this fragrance

the new L'interdit smells nothing like Audrey's. It was discontinued. Givenchy only launched the modern L'Interdit recently.

@Catlady Lion, They changed the formula of L'Intrerdid. Audrey Hepburns perfume. I wore it for years, now it smells like inscents in the church. It was the most beautiful smell, like walking in a garden and smelling a different flower as you pass by. Im glad you like the new version, but it doesnt compare.

MItsouko is considered the greatest chypre perfume of all time. I've worn this for years and love it! The current extrait parfum formulation is the most accurate to what it once was. (I'm a perfume collector, lol)

I’ve been wearing Obsession since it launched in 1985. Just put a dab on today. You don’t need much, it’s a powerful amber spice scent. Always a fragrance that receives compliments.

idk if anyone commented it, but, you showed us a picture of Aqua di GIOIA instead of Aqua Di Gió, both are different perfumes, Aqua di Gió pour femme is a quite oceanic floral and fruity vintage perfume which i can see an old hollywood start wearing it, tho Aqua di Gioia was launched in 1996 and was more like a fresh scent letting aside that Floraly decadence which te vintage perfumes got us used to.

I’m guessing Faye dunaway liked the original Norell, which was my signature for many years. How I wish they’d bring that one back. What is named Norell elixir today has nothing to do with the original. The original is a green chypre/aldehyde. Yummy!

💕🌺I love White Shoulders! The perfume is better even than the cologne, but it's harder to find. The vintage stuff is wonderful too...Jo Malone Honeysuckle and Davana is a new fragrance that smells almost just like it, if you ask me...
