Loved this discussion Nikki. I’m a 300lb 56 year old male and you hit so many things on the head. I’m right on the borderline of type2 diabetes . Just had a blood test and have to go for an ultrasound for fatty liver disease. So needless to say my days of cheesesteaks and meat lovers pizzas are over . Glad I found your Channel .

thanks to you I started to change my mindset and mental health instand of just focusing on my weight etc. I am trying out ww now too and focus more on conistenci and tracking instand of the rest. so big thank you for putting yourself out there and talk about things that needed to be talked about.

This was EXCELLENT advice, and I know you’ve gone through all this yourself! It’s like you’re inside my head because I have felt so many of these! 😂 I’m 65 and 5’5” and have that stupid post menopause belly. Sooo frustrating!

Yup, I'm several years into my health journey, which all started with my mom's health which was getting scary, and then a friend , 9 years younger than me with a very similar job having a heart attack requiring a helicopter flight. I was over 50 years old and struggled most of my life with weight. Much of what you say resonates with me, my biggest thing was MOVEMENT, any movement, I don't like going to the gym, running, etc. But, I love to dance, so I dug out my old ipod and started dancing in my basement. SLEEP, I honestly think getting more and better sleep helps a lot with weight loss. My original goal with my friend was to lose 30 lbs, without starving, restricting or spending insane amounts of money, I lost over 60 lbs. It took nearly 😂2 years but, I've kept 50 of it of and part of the gain was added muscle. I truly believe the only successful "diet" is the one you create. I appreciate your channel so much because you utilize a lot of fresh ingredients, you don't push any specific "diets, bad foods, etc. agendas and you utilize basic foods, prepping and just moving your body. You and Adam are a joy to watch, ...I won't be setting up a home gym soon, (over 60 and broke) but I'll keep on meal prepping, trying new recipes, taking care of my body, dancing with headphones,....and maybe, just maybe, I might try roller blading 😁

This was such a great video, Nikki. It was so helpful and encouraging. Your 15 tips were so spot on to the feelings that most of us who love to eat and have a weight problem experience. It was so nice to hear how you changed your mindset and how it helped you overcome them.

I was pre-diabetic in 2022 got rid of it in 2023 but this year I thought I could eat fast food and gained back the pre-diabetic state. Healthy living is the only way.😊

Thank you for the tips I can remembering feeling all those feelings and feeling guilty about it, I'm better at it but I feel guilty at times esp. around certain people I go to WW with, cause I do think that person would say something and not let me have grace and eat something that has more points. I suppose it's a good thing, I'm just sick of being judged!
