1969 & 1970 are my two favorite years for music, so many artists, groups, bands, we had it all, different types of music, man the memories! This & your 1970 complication are out of this world, thank you for this!!🎸👍✌️
Another great year for music. Standouts for me include the Fleetwood Mac tracks, The Bee Gees, and CCR, a group that accomplished a lot in a very short time.
Thanks for bringing back memories of my up bringing with these hits, even though I was born in 1972. Keep it coming for me to bop along & sing too. 😍😍😍
I was twelve in 1969, and the day I finished my dissertation I played "Baby, Can I Change My Mind," "Selfish One," and "Hey There Lonely One" over and over.
Finally another Hit Songs video, with the last 60s year in the 1965-1969 period. This was a really good one in my opinion there where bangers and also hidden gems. I loved songs like These Eyes by The Guess Who, Les Champs-Elysees by Joe Dassin, Casatschok by Dimitri Dourakine, My Sentimental Friend by Herman's Hermits, Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday by Stevie Wonder and many other songs as well. I didn't know that Giorgio Moroder had a hit in the 60s too as does with Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich. The Hit Songs videos often remind me of the NOW Yearbook compilation albums from NOW That's What I Call Music, just great educational chart music content. Also before you do the next video please correct the thumbnail for the Hit Songs of 1973 because it looks too similar to the 60s ones. Superb vid and looking forward to 1963!
I love your compilations. Looking forward to updates of ’70 Singers who passed away (Gordon Lightfoot, Jimmy Buffett), and ’80s singers who passed away (Tina Turner). Your videos are my favorite music list videos.
There is, what I think we can all agree to, at least 20 all-time classic rock/pop recordings on this list (probably 30, maybe more), plus so many other terrific and memorable records as well, while the amount of turkeys is scant. The 1960s really did produce an amazing amount of unique and timeless music.
That was far out!:)☺️i love you more than yesterday was one of my mom and dads songs😍they were married in 1966✨i remember having to learn Aquarius/let the sunshine in when I was in choir,5th grade 🙂 i really enjoy your channel!:)😎great job, some random guy ✌️💖🤩
Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones wasn't in the list. The magazine Rolling Stone ranked it 13 of the greatest 500 songs of all time. Others have given it similar accolades. Perhaps when you update the list, you could include it?
Interesting story about FRIENDS OF DISTINCTION Grazing in the Grass- based on a 1968 hit. MARY HOPKINS Goodbye is written by Lennon/McCartney. 1910 FRUITGUM COMPANY Indian Giver B side played backwards is " Howdy Doody Time"
(Orpheus)" I Can't Find the Time To Tell You", " Welcome Me, Love" and "Blessed Is the Rain" ( Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge) , Wedding Bell Blues" ( Fifth Dimension), " Hey There, Lonely Girl" ( Eddie Holman)...so, so many that we young teens danced to on Saturday nights in the old, wooden-floored Junior High School gym...somewhere in Jersey...

Watching all of your old songs compilations hoping to find a music that I listened on the radio but can't quite remember the lyrics... 2 or 3 male voices and a female one, a love song for sure
Martian, bladerunner, deadpool, Dude Lebowski and these are just a few who salute this music!! Like Merovingian said - originality mattered before!!! I have strong doubts about modern music. Will it be covered like these masterpieces of the 50,60,70,80&90-ies?

1969-The Year for Music. The vast majority of these songs are still played. And they left off a bunch, like CSN&Y, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi. More good music that year than in the entire 21st Century so far.
I ALWAYS thought that more today than yesterday was Chicago. 😮😅 And these eyes was the guy from the song spinning wheel(a child is black s. Chikd is white)ah edit! Blood swrst and tears! I hear him and also johnny maestro and get confused😊
Thanks for finishing the 150 Hit Songs series! Will the 2010s eventually be covered in the channel? (not a big fan of the era, but it's historically relevant I guess)
@pfrancisco2111 Technically he is not done with the Hit Songs Series because he has 1960-1963 left which they will have less than 150 songs and pretty much 2000-2009. But if you want to be kind of correct this is the last 150 Hit Songs vid for the 20th century (Although 1988 and 1989 in my opinion should also deserve a 150 number count).
