@@jasmim9194 yeah more like they tried cleaning it but due to Da Vinci's experimental painting style a few layers of paint got removed causing her to look washed out. He wouldn't use the wet paint on paint he would paint, paint glaze,paint, paint ,glaze and because of how experimental he was, a lot of his work could be lost or ruined
@@mckenziecox2404 they restored it once in the 1900's and it removed a couple layers of paint which also removed her eyebrows and made her look more "washed out"
She shaved them off because it was a ‘trend’ and ‘beautiful’ for women not to have eyebrows. She got rid of them forever by using cream on them. BUT THEN IT WENT OUT OF TREND AND SHE HAD NO EYEBROWS FOREVER

The Mona Lisa actually did have eyebrows and eyelashes, it’s just that since the lines were so fine , over time those lines faded and disappeared much faster than the rest of the painting
Juliann Yall not sure if she actually knew this when she said it but in the year 1500 people actually thought the jaw had two bones instead of one, because they still believed in the works of Galen. That might possibly what she means! :)

FUN FACT I watch these videos when I have serious art blocks( yes I draw I wouldn't call myself an artist but I draw) and I just found it so inspirational. So as you were "painting" me I was sketching you😊😘
