Music credits by purple-planet.com for royalty free music. Abandoned in 2008 or so, likely due to economic recession and housing crash. Some rooms are very well preserved. Others trashed
Homeless people will pull the ac unit out like that so they can get a breeze in the room and not have to leave the door open and risk getting caught in there.
Heidi Allen there have been times when I’ve been exploring and had a coffee with me and couldn’t drink it anymore because I felt as if mould spores or something have fallen into it. Lol
Another great explore! Nice to see you getting your father into urban exploration. By the way, the toilet, which all looked to be various brands from the 1970s, were American Standard Cadet, Mansfield Mohican , & Gerber Mt, Vernon. Judging by the price & the logo on the Pepsi Machine, it dates back to the 1980s.
Hi guys? So nice to meet your dad, I think he is handsome. Nice video, some of those rooms looked untouched. I'm glad the homeless have some place to sleep. To bad it can't be fixed up for them. See you next video! Thanks!
Your dad seems pretty cool hope to see him again in future videos. Just moved to georgia 7mths ago and i amazed by how many abandoned buildings there are in georgia. Between TN, MI and GA its like a gold mine. Great video!
You are the spitting image of your Dad. He's very handsome and has a great Dad laugh. You are always so respectful of Bekah. Not something you see much these days.
Love your dad. He's cool. But, tell him not to wear flip flops or eat on his future urbex adventures. He may get cut feet or develop nasty stomach issues touching things then eating his food. Those people who lived there couldnt have been very clean.
So glad to see your Dad with you all. Love seeing a new video. I have watched your other ones several times seeing if I missed something. I thought I seen one that Becka had her hair shaved on one side? Love your hair long. You all look like a great couple. Could you tell us more about you too? How you all got started exploring? Please
I, Rick, had seen an article online of an abandoned mall and photos of it and that inspired me. I asked bekah if she wanted to do the same thing, she agreed and we’ve been exploring even since the summer of 2016. We absolutely love it. It never gets old or stale. Always a new adventure with every abandoned site.
You need to bring dad along more often, he can tell you what some of the things are you find. Seems like a nice guy anyhow, more my generation. It's nice to see homeless making use of it. Not everyone that is homeless is a drug addict, I was homeless for a while when I was young and would have used this until I got back on my feet (which didn't take me long but...). It's really too bad these aren't converted into some sort of temporary homeless shelter. God knows we waste money on more pointless things, helping fellow citizens that are down and out seems like a good investment. It can be hard to get work without an address and a phone, a problem a lot of people don't know about until you have been there. Could also buy a few Bibles and leave them behind where you know people are staying.
If I was homeless I would go into an abandon motel like this clean up and turn one of the rooms in to my. room . They left everything in the motel there is bound to be a broom, dust pan , trash bags somewhere . I would gather all the sheet , pillows , blankets all the dishes and set myself up a spot .
I've been by Unadilla many times going to Valdosta from Cartersville to visit my parents. I would loved to have you as you came by if it had been possible. It's cool you introduced your father to urban exploring. It was great to meet him although it was a virtual meeting! It's really surprising the place hasn't been totally destroyed by vandals by now. I looked it up and it went out of business sometime between September 2009 and December 2010. It was equally surprising to see the rooms with the beds made and appearing clean ready to be rented. The one that was chained meant someone was in there. They probably heard you coming and hid in the bathroom. I really enjoyed this one! I'm also glad you two had a chance to get away for a visit. Thanks for sharing, Dirk
My hometown... My sister worked at the front desk for a little while..I remember swimming and playing at the playground they had... it has been torn down now...
Your dad looks fun and I like his nervous laugh, looks like a( go with the flow )kinda guy. Is he single? I like this exploration. And all the videos keep up the good finds.
@@ExploringwithRickBekah that figures .lol..glad to hear it. Hopefully there's another 36 coming. Thanks for the shout back. Be safe out there and keep rolling in vids
Tour of an abandoned Motel in Georgia, messed up, crapping in the toilets with no water, and used by squatters. Many rooms locked and in nice condition, loads of old glass scree TVs.
Sweet explore! I'm from the area and i've heard it pronounced "you-nuh-dilla". Those old TVs are so cool, I imagine it's a little unsettling being there knowing people still live there from time to time. Great video.
Wondering about the room key thing. If they took the keys, why not lock up the ones they used? The pristine rooms were still locked, yet no keys on the board. Great explore though! Another great job, guys! Keep 'em coming!
Another great 👍🏼 explore from you guys! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 it was cool 😎 to see your dad in it! You guys should bring him along more often! Be careful though going through places that could bring some unfriendly people that don’t want to get found or bothered, they may just have weapons or try to hurt y’all, just saying.
We have been through Unadilla several times. Never noticed this old place. We will have to look for it when we pass through again. That was an old Pepsi machine. And that vacuum cleaner. Holy cow.
Some exits on I-75 in south GA have thrived and have taken the business from the smaller ones like Unadilla. Unadilla doesn’t have any decent restaurants, people will just drive on up to Perry or down to Tifton and grab a Hampton room and eat at Chili’s.
awwwwww your dad is a nice guy rick awesome place ive always wanted to explore abandoned hotels on the road hope u guys are all good i would love to explore with you someday hopefully tell your dad i said hello hugs to bekah
Nice explore. Glad that your dad, Bob, joined you on this. Thanks SO MUCH for sparing us the toilet shots! What was the handle thing (1:49) in the first room? You showed is several times but never panned down to show what it was.
That was a quad cane. It has a plate at the bottom with four feet on it. Here's a pic of one with the only difference being the handle: bit.ly/2RrkVzt. It looks like an older one. I don't think they make the handles like that anymore. My grandmother had one in the early 1980's.
thanks, guys, like your dad also but please tell me that he didn't eat any more of his food sorry I just have bad OCD. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE EXPLORING FROM YOU TWO MISS YA'LL!
Cool to see an old abandoned motel I used to work at 1 that red cart that you seen used to have a couple of bags on it one for garbage and one for dirty linens the middle of the car where the two where are you put clean linens to put in the rooms and clean sheets the top was usually four cups for the coffee maker some motels did have one least the one I worked ended look forward to seeing you next video cool one
I must comment that I enjoyed this video....wondered what was taking ya'll so long to get back to the house that day...Dad needs to lose the flip flops...was a bit worrisome watching ya'll rummage through rooms that had been previously occupied by who knows? Ya'll rock!!!!!!
Safety comes first when exploring abandoned Motels, several rooms used by a homeless person, some one has had a crap in some of the toilets with no water.
I watch these videos for Bekah. She is so stinking adorable. The dad... who wears flip flops to go urban exploring? Also who is going to bring his lunch while touching this stuff. Nasty. Also, did he leave his DQ box in one of the rooms? That's not cool.
I imagine that some well-meaning people would think this location should be turned into a residence for the homeless but there are the issues of conversion, maintenance, financial support, transportation to services or jobs. This location would very possibly have become a ghetto with crime/drug problems.---Probably nothing of great cash value but a lot of material and items at the motel look like they could be re-purposed elsewhere whether in the home of a bargain hunter or in a shelter or group home or could be used temporarily by someone who has lost their home in a fire or flood and needs something on a temporary basis. When a place such as this motel goes out of business it would be great if there was a system or protocol in place that allowed for the removal of useful items and fittings that could be sold or donated.
I still like the idea of homeless using it. Not everyone that is homeless is a drug addict. I was homeless when I was quite young for a while and would have absolutely used something like this until I got back on my feet.
I'm self-employed and work 80 hours a week to take care of these people. Part of me doesn't care because I'm rich and live an exceptionally well-off life. But then I watch this as I write out a check to pay my insane high federal taxes every quarter and it makes my blood boil.
They gutted all the rooms last year then the pandemic hit and yes homeless was staying inside and alot was stolen as it set it actually hasnt been open in 15yrs. Just came across your video and figured I'd put answers with the mystery hotel it was actually always call by me and friends growing up as the NO TELL MOTEL... 😂. I see everyone was having a fit about your dad's Dairy Queen he grabbed it from across the road and wonder to the shady hotel across the road.
