Why throw away a small old and feeble sail boat, when it could be refitted with seadoo power. Old garbage boat meets way too much horsepower. Relive the sketchiness of the jet sail.
That was a cool project to watch, even if it didn't turn out in the end. I could definitely feel your frustration, at times. The Mini Jet Boat continuing is awesome news !! Can't wait to see more of that.
@@JetSkiBrothers I will forever be grateful that you came up with the wild idea of creating that marvel of a machine! Seeing that thing flying across the bay into the sunset was priceless! Neighbors must have been so confused about the site of a little rowboat/sailboat flying across the water going 55mph! Hahahaha 😆 !
This was the engine that I think would have been perfect inside the mini jet boat! But a screaming 1200 R engine is just as great! I’m stoked to hear that there is more mini jet boat content!
It’s interesting because this seadoo engine and the 1200r engine have the same factory rated horsepower. Or at least it is very similar. But as you said we went the two stroke route in the mini jet boat. And I have no idea where I’m going with this haha 🍻
@@JetSkiBrothers I appreciate how far the four stroke engines have come since the days of those original naturally aspirated 155 horsepower 4 tec engines from the early 2000’s but 2 strokes will always have a special place in my heart! I think a 155 horsepower triple piped screaming two stroke triple is way gnarlier than a four stroke 3 cylinder any day! There is something about the scream of the 1200r that adds to the enjoyment factor! Especially with those insane triple expansion chambers!
You need hull sponsons to keep you from rolling over on turns. Also extend the ride plate on the jet drive to keep the front down. Better put a cover over the back end so you don't get swamped.
Interesting. Would have been nice to toss a trolling motor on it and show up at a bass fishing tournament. Mingle with all the expensive bass boats. lol "Catch anything yet? My flooded hull doubles as a live well!" :)
You should get a rubber raft and put it around the top edge like a zodiac inflatable boat. That way it won't get swamped. Or make inflatable sides for it with tractor tire tubes. lol
Those steps that you left in the mated hulls that are forward of the jet pump are just going to introduce air into the pump when you turn. Steps are good, just not there.
