Steve and Jeff-sorry that I missed the open discussion group yesterday. I truly loved this great new video and very pleased that you included KBRS and showed installation including floor pan. I have limited my business to smaller projects due personal health issues and miss large bathroom demolition and remodeling. Last week in a half bath room adjacent to a separate shower room, I replaced a glass shower door, installed new porcelain tile floor, installed new Moen shower control including new plumbing, installed new lights, removed toilet and replaced flange and adjusted/cut height of ABS drain pipe but client kept resin acrylic shower. Thus tile work was limited to floor, also installed granite custom vanity top and plumbing and GFI. Kept me happy. week
great question, we use DITRA most of the time because the cutback cavities are waterproof whereas Strata isn’t. You still need to address all the seams with KERDI-BAND but that doesn’t take long
I ha e a question I am planning to remodel my small bathroom but I have a problem with the draining for my toilet is inplum or metal so wnat glue will e good to install the flange that is pvc p.ease help me or if you want to come to Canada and do the bathroom for me please Thank you for taking de time to read this message Martha
good questions, price varies by project. The first step to learning is attending a class by Schluter or another company. Then planning and doing projects
Nice video... Its always a good idea to wear a respirator mask when cutting or breaking apart a fiberglass shower unit, as the particles that are released during the process are very small and very irritating to your lungs.
In the first clip how come you never see people leave the bottom tub and remove the walls. Wouldn't it be possible to put some water proof membrane of the top lip of the tub all the way up and essentially waterproof that without having to buy a separate tub?
Sounds like Kerdi commercial....can just use red guard as well and roll it on like paint 2 coats.....waterproof as well.....like the demo tricks Anything you can cut on half is so much easier to take out than full pieces....studs, doors, windows, just about anything
While other people liked the speed, I didn’t especially if this video is for beginners. I suggest doing follow up videos more in depth and explaining more what the products are that you used and why use it.
Do you have a license to work with that product like saying that you took their course I think we even give out t-shirts so I'm not so sure you know exactly what the course is supposed to be if you do my apologies but I don't see anything that you took the course
I do want to give myself credit that I had safe codes and store keys for the year I worked at guilty I was asked to be a manager 30 days into working and given the position after 90 and never had one register and there was 3 each night come up short but I did miscount twice the same $10 roll of quarters thought I was short but I wasn't
Ive commented this before on other videos but beginners and “DIYers” shouldn’t touch tile, especially kerdi or ditra. I’ve made most of my money ripping out improperly installed jobs. Some that were even installed by people who said they knew what they were doing. In the long term you are wasting more money you thought you were saving when you did it yourself or just hired the cheapest guy. Not to mention with showers you can cause serious damage to the substrates. Not trying to be negative either. Its the same as when I hire someone to install major electrical work. Even though I can install an outlet or switch I know my limits. I also know what issues can come of improper installation.
I cannot stand a toilet right next to a shower. Mine is like that and I cant wait to move it. It sickens me. I kneel down on the bathroom floor to give my dogs a bath and my face is right next to the toilet. I get out of the shower clean, clean towel, standing next to the grossest dirtiest place in the house. Also toilets right in front of doors are bad too. Zero noise control there. I hate shower inserts too. They are giant ugly monstrosities and the moldings are never well designed. There is nothing better than a thoughtfully designed clean bathroom with good lighting. Bathrooms always seem like someone just designed it to fit everything and without thought to layout or use.
Advice to homeowners from an electrician. Be careful cutting with a saws all in walls. You don’t know what’s behind them. There could be wires and plumbing.
Wow tons of good tips. But lemme suggest that the work the man is doing here is professional work, not just your average homeowner would be able to tackle jobs of this caliber. They would have to be in the trades and know what they are doing in order to achieve professional results. These are not diy ‘ers projects.
she didn't even know very much in order to explain it or at least a way to explain so I could understand and the next thing I know they are sacrificing chickens and Alicia is asking her saints if her and I should be together and they said yes to me but not her ex wife it was a confusing time
then I fed her rotisserie chicken before I knew she could not eat things that had been pierced Im going to say that was probably equivalent to feeding a Jewish person pork I laughed because I had already done it countless times like well shit oops
