Thank you Kevin. Your review is pretty detailed and spot on. I was about to go and mess up my shower with streaks on the wall and dirty looking fingernails. Luckily I looked up reviews on this product. Yours came up 2nd. Your a life saver bud. Gonna do my hair in the slop sink in the basement. Will wear gloves too. Ain’t taking no chances bro. You and I have the same hair type. Mine used to be dark brown. Now mostly white. Lol. You look great bud! Cheers to you and thx again!🍺
I have been using this for over a month and i have had ZERO discoloration on my fingernails. Now beware i was worried about this because of the reviews i had seen so i was extra careful. All i do is lather up, then wash my hands with soap and water in the shower (thoroughly but not overdone - like 10 seconds) and then wash it off. I leave it in and then after i wash it out i do the same thing (this might be the part people are missing). No brushes, no scrubbing - like momma always said: "Just wash your hands!" I believe if you do this you should be fine with regards to the fingernails :)
I’ve used this product and it’s 100% awesome. Not messy at all and the light right on the nails is not bad. The black steaks in the shower will wash right out. So just try it and and it’s quick to see a reaction to your hair.
Totally agree with this review. Amazing product. I will never dye my hair the traditional way ever again. I've had zero staining of nails or tub, no irritation, just works perfectly. Only need to use it 1-2 times per week now. One tube of the stuff has lasted me about 6-7 weeks (about 14 washes). Just a fantastic product.
Too bad it's overpriced for the super small amount you get..and that it doesn't seem to color beards very well judging by how his beard looks in the mirror.
Gracias me gustaría que me responda Alfonso es tinte por que todo suma a cómo sí lo fuera , ya que dice que mancha las uñas puede manchar la toallas y en la piel la verdad está siempre por delante lo demás es todo cuento gracias voy a probar
Best and shortest video intro on the internet. I hope other RU-vidrs catch on. So, the stuff works, eh. I'm sold, but this can't be good for the environment.
@Kevin D You said it gradually reduced the gray and you had been using it 4 months. How many times did you use it before all the gray was gone? Please advise
Kevin thanks much for taking the time to review this product, how were you able to make the color difference in your beard? I'm flying back to the states in a week and will buy this product to try, they don't sell this in Brazil, I hope you or someone else can let me know, thanks
Sorry for the delay response! The contrast is not so much of a contrast as much as the shampoo does not really penetrate all the way through. The other thing is, I didn't want my hair to go back to it's natural color because I do like some gray in my hair. You can control this by how much you use this product. I hope this answers your question. Thanks!
I’ve been using the Control GX light brown/blonde product for about the past month. I had a full head of gray hair and gray mustache. I use the GX every other day and Pantene in the days between. I place the Control GX in my palm, apply it to my hair, then use my fingertips to rub it into my hair and scalp then my mustache. I immediately wash my hands with soap afterward and let the product sit on my hair and mustache for about three minutes, then rinse it out. My hair and mustache are back to a very natural light brown and I have NO staining on my fingernails. The product has not irritated my scalp, and the gal that does my hair was amazed at the results to the point she’s going to have her 60 year old Dad begin using it.
I'm a Grease man so my hands and arms get dark from changing oil all day. Might need to rub that in my hair next it this don't work. The reg just for men ain't hitting a lick
It worked for me in 2 weeks!, now I use it twice a week so it doesn’t get too dark... for the fingernails I keep em clean using bleach in gel once a week, just a drop, leave it a minute and rub with a cotton. No need to use gloves.
What does the shampoo itself look like, I bought this and it’s a light brown/tan colour, with some black liquid that sometimes comes out but not mixed in. I’m wondering if mine is separated as it’s normal only a tan colour and sometimes I see some black
It’s a shampoo with about 20% dye that’s why it says it gradually reduces gray, basically you control how many times you’re gonna use it a week so people won’t notice you dyed you’re hair all at once
Read the reviews on line regarding this product. With some men it causes a loss of hair as it did with me. I don't think it's the hair falling out but rather the loss from the hair breaking at the scalp. I have very thick hair but after using this product for one month, 2 weeks daily then 2 weeks every other day started to notice my scalp which I was never able to. When my wife dyes her hair, which she does every 4 to 6 weeks, right after she rinses the dye out there is more hairs in the drain than any other washing. Control GX, although not left on the hair as long as a woman's dye is used continously for weeks then every other day as a maintenance application. That continous use has its affect on the hair by it breaking. While we all lose 100 hairs daily and normally it is my belief that this causes the hair shafts to break at the scalp. I immediately stopped using the product. Hair typically grows 1/2 inch per month. After one month I cut all of my hair to the length of 1/2 inch and luckily everything filled in. Don't confuse male pattern baldness with this product. I was losing, or shall I say hair breakage, was evident on the right side of my head, above the ear, and the back of my head, 2 inches above the neck. It's as if those hairs in those areas were most affected by the product. While I'm not telling anyone to avoid dying their hair. My suggestion is to use a product where you use it once every 4 to 6 weeks and not on a continual basis like this product. Besides it definitely causing hair breakage in some men who knows what else the long term affects are from applying this daily to a scalp with pores!
I was born with a gray patch on my head and its always bothered me, sick of having my haircut stupidity close bought it yesterday as im 35 now and its plain annoying
I’m 30 years old and my hair is I’d say about 10 - 15% gray. Would it be worth trying this now or do you think I should wait until I’m a little older and grayer?
Synthesizer Patel I really think it’s up to you and whatever makes you happy. If it doesn’t bother you then don’t change it but if you feel like you you need to keep your color for a few more years then by all means use it. I hope that helps?
hello :) do you still use this product? i don't like the smell from the 2-1 ,shampoo and contidioner ! I'm worried about the amount of chemicals they put in this product,it's a black label on the back...this means it's full of chemicals...how it's your hair now? thank you
Cristian SIMON I still do use it, however, due to COVID-19 I have not because I now work from home. Even when I did use it, I used it only 3 times a week.
Apparently this product doesn't work very well for beard hair..which is coarser than scalp hair. It would be wonderful to find a product that works this easy on beard hair.
@MrBlueroads I just noticed this a few days ago. Have you tried it yet? I also noticed you get one less ounce for the beard product than the hair product yet they charge the same.
@MrBlueroads Yea..I'm going to try it soon. I have a friend who uses the hair stuff and his hair looks totally natural. The thing is..my beard grows so fast that I'm not sure this will work fast enough to cover the new growth. I was reading the reviews for the hair version on Amazon..and one guy advised that if you want fast results to put it on your dry hair (he advised putting the lotion in a small hair color bottle with a nozzle top for easy application) and then blow dry it and leave it on for 30-60 minutes. So I may do that because I need fast results. I use Revlon Colorsilk now..but it takes about 45 minutes to process..and I have to buy a separate 10% peroxide to use with it because the 20% Revlon Colorsilk comes with ends up lightening your hair color. I also have to buy and add hair drops that help color penetrate gray hair. So much work to look good..lol. What do you do now?
Product works great but for sure use gloves or you will end up with dark finger nails. If you cut your hair short you will need to start over as it does not penetrate all the way down. However worth the money
Yes, I used it and I didn't have any effects whatsoever, now having said that, the skin on your head might not be as sensitive as the skin on your face. Tested it first!
Hi Guys, 03/04/2019 Update...60 days of use. I’m now using GX two days per week and still use Pantene the other five. My hair is light brown and the color is very consistent. I did not have much luck with the mustache coloring using this product and I know it’s not intended to be used on facial hair...just thought I would give it a shot. This product has not caused any hair loss on me or my three friends who began using it after they observed my results. A few hairs in the comb or brush occur naturally every day. This product has not contributed to any verifiable hair loss in anyone (that I know of) who is using it.
I hate how you can taste it when you use it even if you clench your lips together and breathe through your nose. Shits gotta be bad for you. Think I’m just gonna rock the grey fuggit.
I really think you should embrace your grey hair. Take a look at yourself, you have a full head of hair, a full beard too! You pretty much hit the jackpot and graying shouldn't matter, you look more wise and handsome with it.
Nope! Not everyone looks good with grey hair. And most of us don't want the extra 10-20 years grey adds to the face. And let's face it..a full head of hair and thick beard can be negated very quickly by the grey color. Most people won't even care how thick your hair is if it's grey..because most don't find grey sexy.
+waldo mack - Nope..most men just look old with grey hair. And sorry..but there are plenty of women who look beautiful with grey hair..but I guess your such a huge misogynist you need your women to look artificially young all the time. But it's pretty obvious you live in your own little world where if someone doesn't agree with you they are an aberration. Whatever..lol.
I really wanted to watch this but damn I cant stand people that whisper dude you have made videos before listen to the viewers WAKE THE F UP AND RAISE YOUR VOICE
