If you're Scottish (or just thrifty) then leave it on for 5 minutes when you start using it and you'll get results within a week. The change looks natural, it doesn't cover all the grey but has great effect. I use it once a week now to keep the look. Excellent product and not expensive. One bottle/tube now lasts me two months with weekly usage. BTW, I am naturally VERY grey so I wasn't trying to fool anyone with a gradual process, but it's far better than dying your hair at home, which is messy and very obvious.

I use a reusable latex glove on my right hand just to rub in the shampoo. I take it off the glove when done shampooing. Works great in keeping the hand staining away.

I’ve been going grey all throughout my early twenties. Am 27 now the grey is getting to patchy and bright on my temples. Hoping this will help tone it down. Thanks for your really informative review 😊

Good review. I have been using this for a year + and it works really well. However my wife alerted me to some articles on the dangers of PPD used in this and many hair dyes. Would prefer if they didn’t use it but it’s one of the main reasons it works.

I have been wanting to do a video like this one for a long time but this gorgeous lovely lady beat me to it and did better I could have done it myself so thank you madam😊. Everything said in this video is accurate. I have been using Control GX for a couple of years, I used it everyday for the first two weeks and then every other day for another two weeks until I got the desired result. It all depends how much greys you have and how much you want to conceal. And then only three days a week Monday-Friday (sometimes I'd even go a whole week without it as I felt my hair was getting too dark) was sufficient for maintenance. I stopped using it during lockdown though as I was working from home so didn't see the need to hide my greys since I wasn't socializing with anyone and not going outside except for groceries twice a week. My hair went back to its natural grey (it was a shock I must say as I was so used to my darker hair colour). I have now started the same procedure as I am going back to the office in a couple of weeks and it's working just perfect again. It is truly a miracle product, your hair will not look dyed (and no more white roots!) and it will retain its shine and even improve it (that was the case for me anyway). Yes indeed if you use your fingers your nails will get stained so not very nice so rather use the palm of your hands. Also make sure you wash walls/tiles/glass/curtain in your shower as it will leave stains from splash.

Thanks for the video. I'm growing out my greys and wondering if I can use this to darken them just a bit as they grow out, as they are quite different from the medium brown colour I was using. I don't want to go back to permanent colour. Any thoughts on how it would work for women who are growing out their greys? Thanks!

I bought one and read at the back of the product about the risk of vitiligo, I search a little bit more and yes.. there is some risk associated (even if there is a small percentage of cases) I would like to know if there is any other alternative

Did it continue to work after the first four weeks and is your husband still using this Just For Men Control GX shampoo? Does this shampoo contain chemicals or is it organic? Looking forward to an update. I have also heard about Just For Men - Touch of Grey which is a similar product but you just comb the content through your hair instead of shampooing it. This was a great review. I've used this before and was happy with the results. Also, did not have any problem with hair loss. I ended up trying a permanent color through a salon to see how I liked that route......wasn't fond of it. Now I have to wait for the color to grow out completely so I can use Control GX again. Anyway, I have a question has anyone determined a good length of time to leave this on the hair? I know the instructions say a few minutes and I have heard others say they have left it on for 5 minutes or more. Any consensus on how long in order to get maximum benefit? I am not one to wash my hair with shampoo EVERY day. Usually every other day. Thank you in advance.

Hey there, I need an honest advice. In my case 75 % of my hairs are still black while 25 % is grey. The only risk I forsee here is that it might tamper my original hair and have side effects on original hairs. Can you please share your advice, is it worth trying for only 25 % ? I often use the Loreal hair concealer it works fine for me though

When I first started using it, it would take a week for it to work, and I'd have jet black hair. After some months, it'll take a week and and half, then it turned into two weeks, now it's going on three weeks now. I still got some grey hair going on 3 weeks now.

I use brush in color by just for men, and really it sucks, the grays do not cover, a day later I can see them. What to do? Should I just buy another color brand from a different company? Really I am disappointed. I posted on their site and they took it down.

Thanks I’ve used this for about 3 years on my hair which was salt and pepper on top and grey at the sides. Did a great job on the top but the grey sides just stayed grey and didn’t darken at all.

You said it restores pigmentation which suggests it reveres grey hair, but according to everyone else it’s just a slow hair dye. Not that honest.

i tried this stuff on head hair and beard. it takes too long to change color over time, over time it made my beard feel like plastic to me. i also dont like to keep buying this to up keep. i rather just dye it. how many bottles would you need for 4 weeks of use, and maintenance. think about it, too much money, too much time. also think you can put cap back on and use the rest later, i dont think so, once expose to the air the creme will activate and turn all black in the tube.

Onto my second bottle (using about 4 weeks now) the top of my head is jet black, however the sides have not changed at all, I try to put shampoo just on the sides and back now but still no effect think it just runs off

It used to work so well and I used it for years……new formula came out and now turns hair orange!!! So disappointing! Hearing many people say this about the new formula

I loved this product for 6 months but then my wife and I noticed that my very normally thick hair became brittle and started breaking and thinning drastically. I've read that many other people experiencing the same. I don't think the hair loss is permanent, at least I hope not. I'm not using this anymore. It is a shame.

Can you use your own Shampoo and Conditioner after or befroe GX product?

Why use this when you can just get the Just For Men dye kit and be done with it?? This takes several applications to start seeing real results

I have hair thick, long and wavy like Michael Landon. Like him I also grayed in my twenties. This product started to cause my hair to fall out! The fall out came in patches. It took me 1 year after I stopped using the product, getting several short hair cuts, so that the regrowth on those patches matched the length of the hair around them. It's better to have thick gray hair than seeing bald patches of scalp on darkened hair. Please heed my warning. I too believed those complaining about this product causing hair loss were suffering from Male Pattern Baldness and were using this product as a scapegoat. I'm in my 60s with very thick hair so I'm beyond that! Lol.
