Josh Morris was raised in a very small, rural Utah community. Living as a closeted gay teen, in a predominately Mormon town leaves a lot to be desired. The community isn't rich with diversity or opportunity when it comes to understanding your sexuality. In this episode Josh candidly shares his story. He opens up about the good, the bad, the mistakes, and eventually--the successes.
How do you come out (and thrive) to your Mormon family, who believes in religious and organizational fundamentalism?

All the best to you, Josh. You are so right, your past and how others treated you do NOT define you. As you said, bad things happened, but step beyond them. I pray you'll find a happy place in life.

Great episode Kyle and Josh!! Josh has to be commended for his candor he expressed so much . LDS Social Services are so weak and ineffectual. Definitely out of touch with reality if the world. I wasted so much time with them, knowing they were of no help; but endured to prove I had followed. Thanks again.

Wow. Thank you so much Josh. This is powerful. (I grew up in a tiny town in rural utah too) we finally got a gas pump put in, when I was about 10. Eqch family had a key to it and you’d get your bill end of each month😄Thank you Kyle. This is a wonderful episode. Thank you. I’d write more but I am propping my eyes open!

This young man seems like he has dealt with a lot of trauma. It's wonderful that he is in therapy and YES, we need more therapists trained in the alphabet soup! Thank you Kyle for allowing Josh to share his story, as an openly well adjusted gay man, I'm not that familiar with many demisexual individuals. Great episode...
