Greece, 17th November 2021. People gathering at National Technical University of Athens for the annual march to the US embassy in commemoration of the 1973 student uprising against the US-backed military coup. 48 years later, after a decade of economic crisis and under a growing debt, the Greek government is spending billions on military assets and responds with repression to people who, just like 1973 students, are still demanding their right to “bread-education-freedom”.
@@katerpillarom The free will people of Greece are marching every 17th of November in order to keep the memory of those that fought far right wing politics, fascism, Nazism and the Colonels Junta Regime which was the most extreme expression of fascism in Greece after the Nazi collaborators during the 1941 - 1944 occupation of Greece by Axis forces. 17th of November is the pinnacle of anti-fascism activism in post-WWII Greece.
