Fact you did this and still save your second row of seats 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 you have the crown of builds I have seen so far on RU-vid and that is saying alot my guy 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 keep it going
This is what it is all about. If I see a smile, then I know my job is done! Love giving demos to younger Bassheads that don’t have a bass ride yet, they give the best reactions.
Can you please make a video on tuning with a 0db, -5db, -7.5db, -12db etc test tones. I've seen a few not so in depth videos on it but I'd like some more info. Thanks!
Hey, man so I’m going to be retuning my amp and all that cuz I got a different box. I just want to make sure. First I should set my settings on the head unit first. I should max the sub level and the speaker level. Then dial in my eq to the way I want. Then I start playing some music the highest I can and then go to my amp and start raising the gain up little by little until I hear distortion and back down a little. Then for the LPF set it at 80hz. This my first time doing it by myself. But how would I do it since I listen to rap and Mexican music. Would I have to play a rap and Mexican song and dial in the gain accordingly?
@@NextLevelCarAudiook then I’ll have to retune it then. What would be some good music to tune my amp with ? Also what would be the best crossover slope for my speakers and my sub. I heard for my sub it would be better a -24db and for my door speakers a -12db. Or what you think?
Those slopes are fine. But unlike shallower slopes for my subs. For more blending. As far as music. Whatever music has a good dynamic of sound with heavy bass
Hey so quick question is the subwoofer level on my head unit the same as adjusting the gain on my amp or is it totally different from each other if so can I use them at the same time ? I saw you made a video and you used the subwoofer level set to 10 and you said you used a bass knob for your at the same time just curious?
The sub level increases the voltage coming from head unit into sub amp. For that in essence it gives you higher gain. My sub level is maxed out for highest possible output voltage, but I compensate by reducing the gain on my amp which provides a cleaner signal
Thank you for the reply man all your tips are legit I just put a 15 inch sub with a custom made box in a sedan lol and I did what you said first before I set the gain and everything worked thanks man
I got a question for everyone, any help would be appreciated. I recently finished my sound system in my truck and added another battery, new alt, and isolator. Everything worked fine for a week or two then my subs started acting weird like cutting in and out and the amp went into protect mode. I immediately cut them off so whatever was causing it wouldn’t damage anything. Then the next day my doors starting messing up, they are making some sort of static noise when my head unit turns on and when I connect my phone and start playing music at first it goes away or gets quite, not sure but I cant hear it. Then it will start back again shortly. I turn the head unit off everything I get in my truck so that the noise will stop. I was out of town and wasnt able to check anything. I just got back my sub amp is still in protect mode, I tested the remote and power wire, one of them is reading like 8 volts so I think I’ve found the issue for that. The 4 channel is still messing up though making that noise. It doesn’t correlate with revving my engine and when I unplug the rcas from the amp it still makes the noise. The power wire are tun on the opposite side of the vehicle. Any ideas? Im still relatively new to all this and I’m sure most of you guys have been doing this for years. There isnt any shops near me and I dont have anyone to ask but google so here I am asking you all. Thank you
@@NextLevelCarAudio 2000 watts to the subs. As of right now just a 100x4 amp for the doors until I can make door panels. Ive got a 250 amp alt and a standard agm car battery and then a xs power d4600 or 4800 and a 500 amp isolator. After market head unit. Dont know if this narrows it down but if I unhook the RCAs from the amp it still make the sound to the speakers.
Hmmm, you have stumped me man. Hopefully someone else can chime in. Have you tried messing with your head unit connections? Sounds like something could be grounding out or causing signal interference of some kind
@@NextLevelCarAudio I just stopped and got my secondary battery checked. 8v and 0% charged. I am fairly confident my ground is good. It may be the isolator since on the charging wire for the battery.
@@NextLevelCarAudio so a boss audio 12 inch supposedly 1800 watts Should bang If I put another amp bcuz the amp is from boss audio as well is supposedly 3000 watts , …….
