Love your videos.. Always the best and very useful information. Added my 1st G26 to my collection today. Bought a Rebuilt Gen5 G26 Frame w case and mags and ordered on EBay the Optic cut Gen3 slide with Srike Industries slide adapter...Thanks for the tips...Got the G26 I wanted and save $150 doing it.. You Rock SPN !
I agree 100 % about the Hellcat mags. High quality , they load and function perfectly. Originally bought a Hellcat Pro liked it so much I tried a OSP. I was worried that it would be to snappy but much to my surprise its turned into one of my favorite micro 9 to shoot. I didn’t find it to be “ snappy “ at all.
Makes me reconsider the Hellcat. I wanted one for edc a while back because I love the sights and the way it looks. I first shot it when i got into shooting and it was hella snappy, but it's been sometime now and i've gotten way better. Gonna try it again next trip to the range
It’s still hella snappy. I own 10mm and 40 s&w firearms and it’s one of my most unenjoyable firearm I own to shoot. Something about this little gun makes it uncomfortable to shoot. It has been reliable though, not one malfunction in about 1000 rounds through mine
Here in Michigan, the criminals know that most people are conceal carrying, so they jump out on you with Draco's. So I can't carry the eleven round magazine in my hellcat, unless I have to be somewhere where it must be extremely concealed. Otherwise, I have my HYVE Bass plate 14 + 1 and the 15 round mag from Springfield as a backup. I carry them appendix. But in the winter, I carry my G27 Gen 5 with the front serrations. 11+ 1 with the pinky extension. and 13 round backup. It's great options out here.
Buddy of mine at work carries a p365. He was talking to me last week how disgusted he was his was starting to rust. Of course all the sig fan boys on the internet were arguing it was his fault for not caring for it properly. Just disgusts me to see a company lkke SIG not standing by their product. It's always someone else's fault...... Years of carrying my shield now nearly everyday.....summer heat....sweat.....rain......car chemicals......i don't see any rust and i sure as hell don't clean and polish the outside. SIG (modern) are way to fragile and finicky for an EDC firearm if you ask me. You shouldn't have to treat your EDC like a porcelain doll. But that's everyone else's problem 🤷♂️. Sorry for the rant.
No thank you for this comment because it’s true. My $375 shield plus (not optics ready) will never rust with edc. It just won’t. My hellcats all have flawless finishes. My Glocks. For $500+ firearms, the least they can do is have a finish that can stand up to the elements. I agree 100%. I also know many people with the same issues. Respect
I carry a Shield Plus. If S&W came out with a 17 round magazine for it, that would be cool! I would buy the 4” Performance Center version just for that.
Got the Canik MC9. Don’t trust it so I got a Glock 48 MOS put a Holosun EPS carry on it. Don’t mind the longer barrel, brought 2 PSA mini dagger mags and had four failures to eject. Super bummed maybe they’ll break in I guess I should’ve got a hellcat. At work I carry a 642 Smith & Wesson revolver I have a tool belt on because I hang and finish drywall and I don’t like to pocket carry appendix only, getting older though 58 about had enough
Well respect for drywalling, that ain’t easy. You put your body through a lot doing real work so respect. And my canik went bad at 725 rounds. My Glock 43x and 48 I just stick to oem mags! 10+1 is plenty for 99.9% of justified self defense encounters! Plus you can always buy a 43 upper and have both! Respect
@@spnfirearms Yep, I've had both shoulders fixed as well as both hands from decades of Drywall work. Thank God I'm retired now! The regular Hellcat might be the right carry pistol for me. Did the "pinch factor" get eliminated with the 15 round mag or did it take the 17 rounder to do it? Liked and subscribed.
Man, Hellcats are so beautiful and reliable... I can't make a choice between OG Hellcat and Hellcat Pro. Could you make a comparison video showing Hellcat Pro with the 17 rnd mag and the OG with the 17 rnd mag as well? Just to see how it fits in each config...
Question thou. The FDE micro comes with two mags now thou. 13 and and 11. So what do I do for an extra base plate now to make the 17rd fit when i buy it ?
Can’t go wrong with either but the hellcat is one of my favorites. The hellcat pro is a bit smaller than the 19 but shoots flatter. All great options. Respect!
Don’t get the g19 Get the regular hellcat or g26 you’ll thank me later. You can put reliable extended mags for winter carry and the standard 10rd mags for summer carry, same thing goes with the sig 365 line up but I’d stay away from them for the time being sig has really big problems with rusting right now. If you go with compact sized guns like the g19 or hellcat pro you have a bit more trouble concealing them and sacrifice comfort.
@@IMABEAST191 All good points, Beast. I’ve watched a few more videos last night that @spnfirearms had regarding comparisons between the G26 and the regular Hellcat and I have to say I like his regular Hellcat just as much as his Glock 26. I’ll have to go to the range and try each one out and see which one I like better.
I carry the 43X,Gx4,Shield Plus I have a Sig P365 I haven’t shot it yet because of the very reason the issues it have and I thought about selling it a few times and going after the FN Reflex which I really want I wanted too shoot the P365 too see if I would like or not after I get a few rounds down range I will make my mind but as for carry I have been use the Sheild plus which it is my rotation. The hellcat I am interested in that also but good review.
ProMag makes a 17 round mag for the original hellcat. I can’t find any videos about it at all anywhere on RU-vid. I’m surprised it’s the only 17 round mag right now for the original hellcat that I can find without adding extensions to the magazine. How come people aren’t posting videos of it, is it new? I’ve got one on the way right now, guess I’ll need to do a video
Got the pro for 5 o clock and only 10 rd mags in ny . Considering hellcat for left pocket . Is it small enough to pocket carry for back up the pro fits but wouldn’t trust a draw. If I can interchange mags is biggest reason . I was planning on canik mc 9 but bought pro after issues came up with them. I’ve carried my rival but need a snowsuit hahaha.
@@chrisdonnelly5904thank you so much for the answer ! I’ve been saving for it and just wanted a pocket back up left hand for my motorcycle and 10 rounds in 2 weapons and 2 10 rd mags for 40 rounds legally in NY. I’m “ good sized “ and can recommend the Kore belt for all uses.
What proof, besides correlation, do you have that "steel ammo" will destroy your pistol ???? This is an honest question. I have searched and searched and find NO scientific evidence that this is true. It does not mean it isn't, but it is like most "beliefs" folks have, it's just something that sounds good and is oft repeated without solid proof. Show me the test if there is one. 🙄🙄🙄
The best information I could find is eastern European designed weapons especially former eastern block / Warsaw pact countries made their extractors for steel cased ammunition (russian military ammo and commercial think wolf and bear brands ) while US and Western European countries consistently used brass. So the myth was US and Western European guns weren’t designed for steel cases ammo. Myth become “fact” to some.
