so im from oklahoma and my husband is from sao paulo and the rice and beans is true...I cook "american" food for him and he is like uhhh where is the beans and rice to which i reply this is america we dont eat beans and rice (and the salad) with EVERYTHING lol

So, let´s say you intend to invite somebody to a party at 7 pm for instance, it´s pretty likely for a Brazilian show up as late as 8 or so; 11. Commonly among Brazilian seniors to address people as 'você tá mais gordinha e mas bonita' (you look as good as fatsome). As they sense somebody good looking as being fatsome. And it´s natural, not meant to offend at all.
