You are misinformed on Fable 3, our friends from the high seas, PIRATES, found a way to not only emulate games for windows live, but also to unlock the DLC, so Fable 3 is completely playable on PC.
Also, Minecraft story mode is not lost media because the pirates also cracked that one, you can easily download it on the internet. In fact, this is valid for a lot of games in this video, you should really do your research better, a lot of games here can easily be played still.
With the counter watch situation, they did the same thing with Skullgirls and Skullgirls: Ecore/2 Encore. The only way to play second encore was to delete the original game due to their falling out with Konami.
Guess who Yummy Mummy, you better watch Double Toasted's interview with Nostalgia Critic and apologize for putting him on one of your worst RU-vidrs list, or I am going to get Brendan Fraser. trust me it clears Doug's name.
A PSA TO EVERYONE: Please support community members that try to keep games alive where publishers choose not to. For me, it's Age Of Empires Online, which was only around for 3 years and is now only playable thanks to the amazing mod team at project celeste.
For me personally, I support the guys who made Blur Amax. It's a server emulator that brings that game's multiplayer back. Been going for years. Before that, we had to use Radmin VPN to get games going
The pettiness of big corps truly knows no bounds. No One Lives Forever needs to make a comeback. Period. It's a shame that none of these companies will sit down and figure out who owns the rights, but will absolutely make sure no one else can do anything with the IP if they can't profit.
@@ivoryquillum4436 NOLF is a cult classic video game if I have ever seen one. Just update it and put it on GOG and Steam. It wouldn't be expensive to do and I guarantee it would make them money.
not a lost game but American McGees Alice or rather Alice Asylum. Thanks EA for being cucks and doing nothing with that franchise even when a whole almost 300 page document for Alice Asylum exists. waiting on the day EA steals it. like they stole Mcgees Alice.
@@fuzzy7644 Thing is that the only way for that to happen is if the entire franchise falls under Public Domain. Only way for this not to happen is if the characters have passed through enough iterations that each of them can be called their own work.
I really want The Path to be remade from the ground up on a modern engine like Unity or Unreal Engine (Unity would probably be a better choice). I don’t care if it uses modern, updated graphics or if it replicates the original visuals, I just want this game to be functional on modern software. Tale of Tales have actually been working on a remake of The Endless Forest. I can’t remember if it came out yet or what engine it uses (I think it’s Unreal), though the community seems to be more critical of it, especially with the aesthetic changes. Update: The Endless Forest remake hasn't been released yet, though the first beta was released in 2022.
Could you _imagine_ if movies or shows could be entirely erased if they included a song whose license expired _years after_ their release? Frankly, I can't see a reason why video games should get that treatment but other mediums shouldn't.
To be fair, this is technically happening to shows as well, If you try to watch Supernatural on current streaming platforms instead of on disc or pirating, you'll find that a number of the songs have been substituted as a result of licenses expiring, unfortunately making certain scenes with iconic classic rock songs seem weird without the original song playing.
@@TheRealChynanigans but why isn’t the same thing done with games? It is absolutely possible to change audio after the fact and re-release it in an update. So i don’t see how these publishers would rather axe the entire product, instead of taking a few hours to days at max to swap out the expired material.
@@TheRealChynanigans Legally, you can't watch Daria with any of the original licensed music, only generic fair use music. But some kind folks put the original music back in that you can download for free.
It kinda sucks how there are so many possible ways a game could be unplayable forever. From licensing problems to a company just not giving a s**t if people want to continue playing it, it just sucks
God, I just miss the days where physically owning and keeping your games was the norm. It’s just depressing seeing so much work and creativity just die because… because.
I was pissed when I learned that physical games still require internet connections in order to download content. I miss when you just popped the disk in and play without any of the other technical bs that could backfire or prevent you from playing a game
Physical ownership also had its downsides, a big one being accessibility. What if the game simply wasn't sold in your country? Not everybody can import the game.
@@Windwalker88 *"always better then nobody being able to play it because its delisted."* How self-centered. *"But you know how everyone can play something? Piracy!"* And this is plainly illegal.
yknow pointing out the weird double standard of games suffering from not renewing similar if not identical licenses that movies also have to uphold has just cracked a whole new perspective open to me on this and i am now radicalized
The Path is a game I really enjoyed but was deeply unsettled when i was young. The music and learning the deeper meaning hit me hard and I couldn't sleep yet I really liked it. It's sad that it doesn't get played as often.
The news of the Xbox 360 store closing down the end of the month deeply hurts me, the 360 store was possibly the greatest online store to buy all the games and DLC! But soon we’re no longer able to buy the themes to customize your console or items for your avatar. Now for the newer Xbox Microsoft instead revamps Avatars to have extremely bland customization and themes no longer exist!
The only TellTale game that I played is _Back to the Future: The Game_ which is the closest to ever get to Part 4, even though it's not part of the canon. When TellTale got shut down, everyone will remember that.
NEVER let publishers let you believe that games are or ever were a service. A service requires a clear term of expiration so only subscription based games count towards that. The only reason publishers have gotten away with destroying games is that lawmakers don't understand games.
@@toumabyakuya That's weird, last time I checked a publisher wasn't allowed to confiscate a game disc from your home. You fell for the corpo propaganda. There is no kind of license is the world where the license owner can make it so your software is unuseable without the expiry date of your software specifically having been stated from the start. If games are a service (they're not) when they end needs to be openly dictated when you buy them. "Well you agree to the EULA which states they can do whatever they want with the game." EULA's don't mean shit if they don't agree with laws, companies can't sneak in a "We legally get to kill you" clause and get away with it. The reason they get away with it is that lawmakers are too old to get what's being done, same with lootboxes being gambling for children when that's clearly illegal.
@@BenersantheBread *"last time I checked a publisher wasn't allowed to confiscate a game disc from your home."* They actually are allowed to do this, within reason. I have heard of cases were companies did this thanks to bugs or thanks to something in the game that came as offensive. *"You fell for the corpo propaganda."* Thanks for telling me that you are biased. *"There is no kind of license is the world where the license owner can make it so your software is unuseable without the expiry date of your software specifically having been stated from the start."* Thing is that you don't own the game you bought, what you own is a copy of it, in other words, you get no say over what the owner can do with their license. *"EULA's don't mean shit if they don't agree with laws,"* What laws have they broke?. *"same with lootboxes being gambling for children when that's clearly illegal."* Bad comparison, they are two totally different legal school of thought. Is like comparing a tomato with a Ferrari, yeah, both are red but that's were the comparison ends.
@@toumabyakuya YES it is netflix tells you how much time you can use there service untill you have to pay again for a service other wise what you buy you own and the company isnt allowed to come to your home and steal what you bought from them like a hammer or a pc the only reason digital media isnt treated the same way is most law makers dont understand the internet and are exstremly old which is why ross is sueing ubisoft over the crew
@@toumabyakuya when was a company ever came to some one home to brake or take the car he bought from them you can have the same ELAU for any tool, car or pc that you buy all it means is you cant lie and say you own the rights it is illegal for a company to steal an item that you bought from them
I won't say if its legal or if you should do it. I'll just strongly imply that certain actions are justified in the process of saving and preserving the art that makes up our society. *Slips on guy faux mask.*
The Path can be played on Linux using Bottles, that app is a translation layer that makes software think it is running on Windows, you can set the version of Windows to XP and it runs perfectly fine
one time when I worked at GameStop, I had this kid and his dad looking for Godzilla for the PS4. this sadly describes why we couldn't even find it online!! games preservation is so important, really appreciate this video and the attention it draws towards this issue. absolutely fantastic video altogether!!!
Chinese gamedev’s history of working around bans is SUPER interesting, just look at Dead by Daylight getting banned due to violence… so Behaviour Interactive helped Netease make Identity V, which is gameplay-wise the exact same game just with a cuter Coraline-esque style and cartoonier violence. The fact there are multiple examples of this type of workaround is so cool to me.
This is why physical games need to continue being an available option; with digital games, you really don't own anything, access to your games can be revoked whenever publishers want it. If you pay for something, that something should remain yours forever.
I love the path. I'm really sad that it's rotting away because it can't keep up with the newer technology. Tale of Tales are so inspiring with their games, I really appreciate them.
littlebigplanet is the most important game of my childhood, ive put well over ten thousand hours into those games and i will always detest sony for letting that series die off to hackers
Littlebigplanet 1 and 2, especially 2, was my LIFE as a young teen. I loved the series with all my heart. It was bad enough when LBP Karting and 3 sucked on their own, but seeing what happened to the servers and the franchsie as a whole just breaks me.
yeah, the games were such an incredible source for creativity and exposed me to a lot of great indie music. though unlike you I enjoyed LBP 3 a bit. the alternate characters was silly, but having 15 layers was a bug improvement, plus I liked the 3 new characters even if they weren't that applicable to level creation.
It's kind of depressing to think that a lot of games are going to probably be dislisted in the future because it has a lot of companies that do not care about preserving it.
God, the path and little big planet are amazing pieces of art that never will be able to be played again. I hate how companies treat games like that as garbage and then actually produce such garbage. I just want my games back.
Thank you so much for talking about No One Lives Forever, I love that game so much! I recently got into Team Fortress 2 and discovered that the voice actor for Bruno in NOLF (John Patrick Lowrie) also voices Sniper in TF2, which I was happily surprised by!
Thank GOD for the fanbase for that game. Those people have done the almighty's work by creating pre-packaged versions of the NOLF duology, and I'm thankful for it (even though F.E.A.R. and F.E.A.R. 2 will always be Monolith's crowning achievement IMO, and coincidentally, a character in F.E.A.R. 2 shares a voice with Cate Archer herself (Jen Taylor)).
As long as people just keep accepting digital only and "games as service" terms without any protections to the consumer, such as full refunds should you be cut off from any game/service for any reason, you'll continue to have this problem. Push for legislation that makes companies offer permanent use to the consumer or to lose money should they take away the product. Once their money is at risk, they will stop these practices.
Part of the reason why I resort to Piracy, if I can’t buy the game then why should I feel bad for pirating them if the very companies publishing them don’t care. One I’d also add in is the Unreal & Unreal Tournament games which Epic games removed from all storefronts for literally no reason what so ever especially Unreal Gold and Unreal 2 which were Single Player games.
I'm like that to most of nintendo's games. Especially 3DS games. I literally can't support the original devs, man. I just want to play like.. nintendogs or Tomodachi Life (since Nintendo hasn't given us Tomodachi Life 2 yet).
@@toumabyakuya Nintendo shut down the 3DS shop and second-hand sellers overprice everything, making a $20 game into like a $60. What do you want from me? Do you want me to just magically reopen the 3DS eshop?
@@toumabyakuya who cares?? It’s Nintendo’s fault in the first place for killing off the storefront they shouldn’t have to suffer for the company’s incompetence.
Fable 3 PC mention bless. But also, AYEEEE THE PATH MENTION!!! I adore that game, and it really sucks that hardly anyone else knows about it. It looks great, the atmosphere rocks, and there's so much to grab from the symbolism. It isn't perfect and it certainly isn't for everyone, but it's worth a playthrough for the more patient gamer. I can't express how excited I am to see it be brought up here. :D
little big planet was what i grew up playing ive got probably thousands and thousands of hours on it from lbp1 to lbp3 i loved that series i remember getting the first game when it came out and just playing it non stop i would skip school to play it and i spent even more time playing the 2nd game it sucks that sony just decided to kill the game instead of putting in some effort to fix the servers and the game all those levels just gone its sad
I haven't made it to the section for "the path" but I am excited to see it being talked about. The Path has a lot of interesting lore attached to it, that goes beyond the game, and I hope that by the time it's unplayable then there will be other was to help keep it alive through video archives.
@@toumabyakuya Could you please do us all a favor and just leave!? You're not accomplishing anything by arguing with people and being a corporate shill! Also, could people please stop defending copyright law whenever I make a comment about this stuff!? Nothing good has come of it in recent years!
@@troin3925 *"Could you please do us all a favor and just leave!?"* Why? You do know that insults only weaken your arguments, right? *"could people please stop defending copyright law whenever I make a comment about this stuff!?"* People defend it because it is useful. Without it, as I already said, anybody could change one color and sell any game you make as their own stealing your sales.
Little big planet was me and my brothers era. People made movies with the game before gacha was even a thing. It was our world. A world where we all enjoyed our hard worked creations and shared with each other. A world where we all survived from a bunch of things, bombs, sharks, and zombies. Now, it's all been reduced to atoms. All that hard work and enjoyment had all been for nothing. 😢 Little big planet may be gone, but our world we had with game will keep on spinning. Little big planet forever.
LBP, especially the first two games, were not only some of my favorite playstation games but also favorite games of all times. The music in them really defined my tastes during my teenage years and introduced me to artist like Ladytron and Kinky. So sad that the series went the way it did Also, I've would have loved to see Wolfenstein 2009, Bulletstorm, and Iron Storm on the list. Those games really brought something intresting to the FPS genre, in my opinion. Especially, Iron Storm with the alternate history it presented Also also, OW2 isn't a new game, just a disappointing 2.0 update. Just my two cents
Man, I remember when I contacted you on Facebook almost 10 years ago and chatted with you for a bit. Glad to see your channel grew as much as it did. Good job, man.
Hearing the mention of Endless Forest brought up crazy memories from my childhood playing it. I used to love that game so much even though it was "weird" and seemingly pointless. I definitely recall there was these complex emote sequences the community developed to ask questions or make requests from other players. I definitely remember seeing The Path on the devs website but I couldnt play it because it cost money, and my parents weren't interested in buying it for me. So sad to see it on this decay list
Add American McGee's Alice to that list , EA honestly sucks, they refuse to sell the IP but also refuse to work on a sequel game or even make the first game easily accessible 😭 only place you can own it is through second market or if you’re lucky, find a steam key that gives both games. But besides that it’s just impossible to get a hold of unless you really go searching..
The Xbox 360 version Madness Returns is compatible with Xbox One and Series X. That game included a remaster of the first game, which is now available for free download.
The fact that the one game actually refunded players money spent on cosmetics right before shutting down tells me the genuinely cared about the game\players.
Haunting Grounds was one of those games that got me into horror games (next to silent hill) but to know it was basically rotting away saddens me. Glad someone took the opportunity to help bring it back. I bonded with my sister over this game. We aren't close anymore but this game is still one of my favorites.
Hell, the path was one of my favorite games for a while! Even made a 'chronological' playlist of Cinnamon Toast Ken's playthrough of it (making the routes in order of youngest sister to oldest) and an oc inspired by Robin, the youngest girl. It sucks that I'm probably never going to be able to play it myself...
I actually still have The Path, and it still functions, but I'm sad that one day, it won't be playable. I love that game so much that I try to preserve the characters via The Sims 4. I try to update their appearance as much as I can, but it is not easy. I have only done the girls, but I will do the wolves as well as the girl in white someday soon. But it won't be right away.
I know this game was never mentioned in the video, but this just reminds me of the whole debacle with Bushiroad and Love Live School Idol Festival. I got into Love Live because of this game, and I listen to the songs pretty regularly, with Aqours being my favorite of the groups. LLSIF was a rhythym/anime gacha game that released all the way back in 2013. I love rhythm games and got hooked on this one when I was 16. It was how I was introduced to the anime, the fandom (for better and for worse), and how I found a music genre I really liked. Last year, despite millions of fans, the company Bushiroad set LLSIF to shut down on March 31, 2023 in favor of a sequel game set to release a few months later. I still remember the chaos. Everyone was trying to backup their save data, and many international players were unable to. I fell into the latter, and just screenshotted the pages and pages of Ultra Rare characters I had collected after years of playing. And then the time came. I remember logging in one last time to grab some more screenshots and I attempted to try and play one more song to see if it would still work. The app immediately crashed, and I knew that was it. Even worse, the sequel, Love Live School Idol Festival: Miracle Live would shut down 11 MONTHS after its initial release, so even trying to back up save data from its predecessor was ultimately worthless. I know this is just one of many anime rhythm games about highschool girls in cutesy outfits singing about their hopes and dreams, but it's something I hold very close to my heart. The Love Live fandom is a fucking nightmare, I completely recognize that (I cannot count the number of people I've blocked for fetishizing the characters, who, I want to emphasize, are HIGHSCHOOLERS) but there were still those corners of the internet that kept shit wholesome, and would celebrate the new outfits gachas, discuss the anime, and cheer people on as they perfected their rhythm game skills. I really wish LLSIF was still up and running. This was the game that introduced me to Aqours, whose songs of unrelenting positive energy got me through highschool and later COVID lockdown during my first couple of years in uni. I hope there's some rewritten form of it preserved out there, as I miss the days of just tapping my screen with reckless abandon as I tried to Full Combo every single song. TLDR: Love Live School Idol Festival is a mobile rhythm game that shut down last year, and I wish it didn't.
TWO IRL friends of mine just bought a copy of Haunting Ground on the PS2 for approx $60 but had no unhacked PS2 to see if it was a legit copy or not so they came to consult to me if the game worked, lucky for them the game did work and was in good condition.
I'm so happy you guys go out of your way to talk about the artists who work on games like these and the amount of work they pour into their games. Not a lot of folks really think about it, but there are usually tons of artists behind the scenes, sculpting the models, painting the textures, and writing the scripts all by hand. Video games are an artistic medium, and people oughtta recognize the artists who make them! And thanks to publishers who just don't get it, a lot of that artwork is just... gone, forever.
I would LOVE to mention an app I played as a kid that was a Marvel game, Avengers Academy. While it seemed like a usual farmville clone but with Marvel characters, it was it's own universe and received MCU tie ins up until Thor Ragnarok. It shut down due to not being worth keeping alive. I played it on and off during it's time alive and I LOVED the designs and personalities of each hero and the RPG turn based gameplay for when your doing the main story missions. It was a game you'll expect them to keep straight to the MCU but not really, the events and tie in costumes and characters were the only MCU pieces as a lot of the game uses Comic only or heavily based on the comic counterparts. They even had characters like Angela (the Odison siblings other sister and resident Spawn character) in the game along with a lot you wouldn't suspect. I wished they made it to Endgame before shutting it down but thankfully a lot of its memories are saved via tons of fanart and while it was a bit niche compared to the lego games or other tie in games, there WAS a fanbase for it. We also got Emo Kid Bucky so.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - First Assault Online. It *was* a first person squad shooter where you'd take the roles of the Section 9 operatives in objective based missions and vs modes. Nexon, the developer who made it, shut the service down on December 6th 2017 and even offered refunds to players who'd purchased the game before it went F2P. It doesn't have a Steam listing anymore and all that remains of it is the Discussion group. It was actually a really fun and well put together game, but it came out when the market was saturated by Team shooters like TF2 and Overwatch 1.
I have a funny 'game removed from library' story. I bought the point and click game "Drowned God" on steam. It's about the one-world order conspiracy theory so when it got removed shortly after getting it I said "I guess the illuminati got them, lol."
LBP and MCSM were the most devestating loss for me, as I grew up with both. I really wanted a proper conclusion to MCSM since a 3rd season had been hinted (and Male!Jesse was a personal favorite, being because Patton Oswald's voice)
Hi, I just wanted to say that as a long time, lbp player, thank you for covering the devastating shutdown of the lbp servers and even mentioning the custom online servers. I feel like a majority of ex-lbp players probably have no idea what ended up happening to the lbp servers in the end or even why they were shut down to begin with or that custom lbp servers exist and can be accessed! It's nice that someone with a bit of a following like yourself covered such a small topic. 😊
I remember The Path was literally the very first game I bought on Steam! I had no idea it was in this condition to this day, it's actually really sad when I think about it. I think American McGee's Alice (The first one) is also in this situation. I have it on CDROM, now I'm wondering if my current laptop can run it...
At least what Ubisoft did isn't even a legal grey area - it's explicitly illegal, and they're being sued over it. We need this regulation sooner, rather than later. Games may be only data, but so is a book - the only difference is method of storage. Once sold, publishers can't just go and destroy it.
amazing video I've been watching this channel since I was 14 lol (8 years ago), it's really sad that most of the games on this list are games I've played before like Little Big Planet, Godzilla PS4 and Telltale Games
I had over 100 hours and 200 wins on Rumbleverse before it shut down. Glad to see a popular RU-vidr and one I enjoy cover it! It was by far my favorite game of 2022, and I hope that other live service games like Multiversus get the support Rumbleverse desperately needed.
I remember a lot of these games from when I was growing up, and it's sad to see them go. Amazing on Ross though! I used to watch his stuff back in the day, and he'll always be a big part of my memories! Love that we have this video to commemorate these awesome games too! Good work to all! ❤
When I was a kid I played a game called village life: love and Babies (I know, lame title, but it was fun). Because I was a kid with a short attention span, I would often delete the app and reinstall it when I was bored. One day I started looking for it, and it was nowhere on the App Store. I did some digging and found only a handful of videos on RU-vid and their Facebook account saying it was now a Facebook game. I’m honestly just looking for something else who remembers this game.
I remember playing a good chunk of these games as a kid... really upseting seeing some of these classics being left behind by the devs...but sometimes the devs will be cool like when Running With Scissors and re-list a game that has been de-listed years ago simply because fans of the series wanted to have access to all the games (Postal 3)
It's usually not the devs making the decision to pull the plug on these games, but the publishers (i.e. Ubisoft) or parent companies (i.e. Activision-Blizzard). But developers get such crappy treatment from the higher ups, that even if they WANT to keep supporting and working on these games, they'll be ignored in favor of shutting the games down. It's very, very rare when the devs' thoughts or feelings are honored when it comes to these decisions. Closest you'll get is like with Spellbreak, where they released the tools for the fans to keep going if they wanted to in the form of that client.
VHS was supposed to have a crossover with Brutal Orchestra (another one of Hellbent's published games). BO had an update where it involves an NPC questline that involves one of the killers so seeing all this so it was wild to see all that new information about VHS here because as far as I knew at the time, it was just crossover with an upcoming game before I suddenly just never heard about it ever again but it's still in Brutal Orchestra
I'm a huge lbp fan and bought a second hand ps4 to play lbp2...was gutted to find out that not only could i not play it but the servers were gone too :(( i still play lbp3 and some other games but its heartbreaking all that is gone
I simply dont buy videogames anymore. I'm so put off by the concept of a games impermanence that I simply refuse to buy them to start. I hope this changes but with the way the world is going I think its going to be a while... Also, the fact that spec ops the line was removed due to copyright expiring over jimi hendrix's national anthem is such an insult to everything he stood for. He wouldve been disgusted an anti war game got removed over his music...
@@scottylewis8124 agreed but they don't even make physical pc games anymore and i refuse to rebuy my games over again every console gen. plus no game is ever REALLY lost on the internet.
I don't think it's exactly the same thing, but because of weird legal reasons, the adventure/horror game 'Scratches' has a Steam page, but can't actually be bought. The creator has said he wants people to play it 'however they can', though.
Yeah it is, but the engine it was made on makes it so the game is literally rotting away, corrupting more and more with each windows update. It's not about if the game is still purchasable, it's the fact that the engine is so old, obsolete, and obscure that modern programs can't easily download and utilize the files. To preserve it it'll need to be rebuilt from the ground up. Otherwise it will not work properly even though you can still buy it.
I know absolutely nothing about game development so I might be talking out of my ass here, but this video is just further confirmation for me that no game should be made without offline functionality. If a game has single player mode, it should be able to run at without an internet connection. It’s just so sad how much has already been lost and will continue to be lost due to over reliance on online servers. As we move further and further from physical media, digital preservation is so so important. But this isn’t my area of expertise to say the least, so maybe there’s something I’m missing here. Personally I just don’t see a reason why any game that is not a strictly multiplayer experience should not be able to be played without a running server.
Nope, you're exactly right. There IS no reason a single player game can't run without a server; it's just a ploy to make you rely on the publishers to play their game, so they can pull the plug when they want and more-or-less force you to purchase their new shiny title. It's forced obsolescence, but for video games.
No One Lives Forever is a series I've been wanting to see a 3rd game from it for years now. My first experience was sometime between 2013-2015. It took me FOREVER to get my hands on a full NOLF 2 game at the end of 2016 (because the one in the CD that came with 1 did not work). A shame that the rights for this game has been lost between several studios and publishers which is the only reason why we never got another sequel. Edit: I'm actually surprised that a group of devs is still desparately trying to get their hands on the game to this day, it might gives us a small hope, regardless the fact they are continue to reach that goal is alone good to hear.
It's wild how quickly overwatch went down the drain. Blizzard being _weird_ behind the scenes, renaming characters, killing promised single player and releasing a watered down sequel. I really liked ow but I can't enjoy the current game even if I were to look past blizzards issues.
Wow, Godzilla PS4 is a partially lost game? I never knew!! I have a copy of it sitting mostly untouched on my shelf, I had no idea it was so valuable now
Haunting Ground is one of the rarest games I own, right next to Silent Hill 2 and 4. Made it a self imposed goal to get the big ps2 horror franchises. Ku-On and Rule of Rose are next. Games for Windows Live was a cancer. I remember for years I couldn't play my copy of Dead Rising 2 because apparently I used a different login at one point but didn't remember it, and they weren't willing to help me. I told them on the phone that I appreciate their implied endorsement of piracy as I already own the game so they should have no problem with me downloading a copy that worked. Guy on the other end started panicking going "WAIT I DIDN'T SAY THA-" before I hung up.
