I know this’ll probably end up on the higher point of the iceberg compared to other games, but the Oddworld quintology games (especially Abe’s Oddysee and Soulstorm) are a good example of disturbing games. The main series revolves around Abe, an alien known as a mudokon who must free himself and his fellow mudokons from slavery after finding out his oppressors, The Glukkons, plan on murdering him and his friends to harvest meat from and sell as meat products for profit. On top of the less then subtle but none the less effective anti-meat industry message, the game creators use this story and it’s twisted oddball humour to bring light on real-world issues and themes such as third world exploitation, environmental destruction, species extinction, corporate greed and the horrors of capitalism. All while also giving players challenging gameplay in levels filled to the brim with rich atmosphere. Sorry if I sound gushy about this, I’m just a huge fan of Oddworld and I more then recommend you give the series a look, even if just for the iceberg video! 💚💙💜

Former fan here, yeah I’m completely furious about this. I’ll be honest, until I found out his subreddit died I knew nothing about what he did. Hell when he made the first video about his hiatus I said I was glad he’s back and feeling better, now I think about that comment in disgust and horror knowing now that someone I consistently enjoyed is such a monster.

As someone who at one point had considered him my favorite RU-vidr thanks to his Meme Streams and Golf It videos, seeing this all go down made me confused on what to think of him. Depression is more than just sadness or emotionless, that’s how I know if someone actually is or not. Poor personal hygiene, terrible sleep schedule, no motivation, isolation, people think they can blame mental health like it’s some mystical thing. Murder and abuse (except self harm) are far from anything someone would do depressed.

As someone who's on the autistic spectrum as well as being a member of the furry fandom and LGBTQ+ community, I can say that the Zooier than Thou podcast is a downright bastardization of all of these communities. I've noticed people using disabilities, particularly autism, as an excuse for their criminal behavior, and It's genuinely disgusting that that's the case as it vilifies a whole group of people that are just trying to get by with a condition that they cannot help. We aren't dangerous or malicious, but it's things like Zooier than Thou that makes it seem like we are. Truly disgusting. Thank you for covering this, I feel as if this podcast, along with everyone else on this list need to be talked about so that we can do something about them.

From what I've seen, people can generally be described as belonging to one of three categories: #1: The actual furries themselves. #2: People who hate EVERYONE, including furries. #3: People who have no clue whatsoever as to what the hell we are talking about when we mention furries. So if they hate everyone, why target furries directly? Because they think furries make for an easy target. They see the costumes, the artwork, the websites that let you "browse by fetish" and think they've stumbled across a treasure trove -- an entire community's worth of people they can troll at their leisure -- people whose entire lives can be outright ruined with little to no effort at all (and speaking from personal experience, they can get downright psychotic when that turns out to NOT be the case). Half of me suspects that Kuro is a hyper-horny Glenn Quagmire type. The other half wonders if this whole thing is just a facade he puts up to try to dupe all the assholes of the world into linking to his content over and over. I don't care which is true. This is the most disturbing video I've seen in a while, and I recently watched All Tomorrows. God there's some really sick, twistedly demonic people that just waltz around like they never did anything wrong and put this giant stain on communities they've been in. Anyway, on a better note, there's this claymation horror game called Isolomus that's quite surreal and interesting.

For disturbing games, I'd say eternal darkness for the GameCube. it's one of the first games to use 4th wall breaks to scare the player, and I'd say they do it very well
I remember watching Vinny Vinesauce play Limbo of the Lost, it took (iirc) 15 years to make and pretty everything in it is stolen assets from other games. It's wild how it ever reached store shelves, definitely worth talking about
Limbo of the Lost is strange for sure, but I would hardly call it disturbing... it's more simply fascinating that the game was in development for over 10 years, and was stealing assets from the very start. Even the concept art sto- er "borrowed" liberally from other preexisting designs.
Zooier Than Thou's leader (Doug Spink) is dead, but their evil will only continue and only get worse. As someone who has Autism himself, I honestly believe that the best way to deal with them is through Vigilante Justice. I hate it has come to this, but it seems there's no other way to stop them. As long as it keeps them from giving people like me a bad name, I'm fine with the means.
As someone who would see any redemption to anyone who did something wrong, ( And I'm not the type to throw words like racist and pedos to those who don't deserve it ) Mini Ladd has to be the most unfortunate because he has soooooo many chances to get help, but unfortunately like Cosmodore he didn't. It a pity, really because even though I'm not much of a fan of him I use to find him hilarious, along with the other Vanoss crew ( Delirious is my favorite of the bunch ).
Much like Cosmodore, you can't help pedophiles man. You fundamentally misunderstand pedophilia if you think you can. It is not so much the desire to mollest children itself that drives pedophilia, that is a manifestation of an underlying mindset. Pedos, murderers and other sadistic violent criminals are driven by a desire to wield power over something lesser than them. It comes from an inferiority complex, a mindset that they are lesser than others, and therefore whatever is lesser or more vulnerable than them deserves cruelty. What drives these things is fundamentally being a fucking loser, or in some way pathetic and impulsive and selfish. They do not deserve support or "help", and they are actively refusant to it. Any support they receive that does not gratify their mindset they won't listen to. They just want control, and if they can't have control, they'll take that out on others that are vulnerable. Any pedophile who "seeks help" for it is full of shit. They refuse to ignore their own impulses to the point where they need a specialist. That is the height of pathetic. Yes, sure, people with mental illnesses engage in compulsive self-destructive behaviours: but they are compulsive; they don't actually want to do it. That's not what I'm talking about. An impulse is an active will of the brain and mind, and to not ignore and resist it is the problem here. It's impulsive and pathetic behaviour, that should not be given the benefit of "support"

It's being sad awful people, plain and simple. It makes them angry, and they act out cruelly as a result

even if the kids were 16, 17 years old, him receiving images of that nature from a minor would still be a crime. may of been legal for them to of met up to do the deed but images would of been a big no. him thinking she could consent at all to sending images when the law says that even having any images of a minor is a crime. i mean in the context of what the images showed.
Yeah, I'm sorry that I couldn't make it through this one. The 'Zooier than thou' one just got me angrily heated and genuinely furious that exploitatious and terrible people like that can even exist. I apologize, but I had to stop watching there. As uncomfortable as it made me to watch, I'm sure it only made you more uncomfortable to make, so I can't express enough how much I appreciate your videos and the work you put into them, I just... couldn't be there for this one.
these people are absolutely deplorable but this is a great video! I truly wish there was more that could be done about filth like zooier than thou as for suggestions for disturbing music videos, maybe ‘breaking things into pieces’ by kikuo? as for disturbing video games, I’m sure its on there already but I’d definitely add roly-polys nanakorobi yaoki! also games like can your pet, ruff times, and maybe pen palz? (tho the former two are moreso just shock/psa games and the latter is just sad more than anything but y’know, if u need some entries to pad it out lol)
