My son broke his neck falling off a bicycle 20 years ago. Initially he wanted to die and ate and ate, hoping to die from sheer obesity. He is a quadriplegic so cannot move. He put on an enormous amount of weight and then on a day...realised that it's what you put in your mouth is up to you and your health or lack thereof. When he decided he wanted his health back, he lost 34 kilograms in 9 months. Being unable to move he lost the excess weight purely by what he ate. I'm so proud of him, and learn from my son about "life" on a daily basis.

A lot of times I feel like I’m failing because the scale goes up or stays the same. But then I look at myself in the mirror. I can see my collarbone now, my stomach is flatter and my muscles are more defined. I feel more energy The scale doesn’t define my progress

I didn't lose a pound for 6 months. People kept telling me that this diet wasn't working for me. I am now 7+ months in and now the weight is slowly coming off. My body needed time to heal. Prior to the carnivore diet I hardly slept with some nights I was logging less than an hour of total sleep. I am now consistently sleeping 5-6 hours with some nights I am getting 7+ hours a night. And yes, the only fruit I consume or rather choose to experience are the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-23. Thank you Kelly for encouraging me and reminding me to press in as the breakthrough was literally just around the corner. ❤❤❤

🎯Nearly every word relatable, including the fruit~ love that. For me, it was about 18 mo's before I lost any scale weight, though I did have some body recomposition. More importantly, I experienced so many other wonderful benefits that I was motivated to stay with it, & weight loss became secondary. I began eating this way in the middle of "active" menopause w/no HRT, so I'm sure that was part of the hesitancy in dropping body fat. My sleep was pitiful, & I was also undereating, & it took some time for me to work up to enought fat & protein. I had to back off heavy exercise for awhile as well, for that reason~ not enough fuel intake to sustain AND lose body fat. Eventually, I did drop 30 lbs- yay!- & would like to lose another 15-20, but who knows where my body will settle~ maybe less, maybe more. I've learned to be patient, giving each new adjustment at least a few weeks, if not a few months.By far, the biggest change & catalyst has been my sleep. I still rarely get a 6-8 hr solid block of sleep, yet am able to get right back to sleep when I wake up to potty or change position, get a sip of water, etc. That's huge for me, & I'm so grateful~ to God, first & foremost, & next to His amazing design for us, on every level. So many I've talked with or heard from have shared how they feel the Lord intervened, answered prayer, or in some way led them to this way of eating. No surprise there, but a huge encouragement & confirmation that every single part of our existence is important to Him~ even what we eat & why. Sammie in AZ

BEFORE the fall God gave man grains (seeds) from herbs and fruits from trees. Gen 1:29. AFTER man fell, God gave man animals + green herbs to eat Gen 9:3 (Without shedding of blood is no remission of Sins) A vegan based on Gen1:29, will NOT be healthy because Vitamin A, B12, D and K2 (MK4) and some amino acids and saturated fats with omega-3 will be lacking from plants. By Gen 9:3, man are to eat animal meat (after blood shed) but God also mentions green herbs. So carnivore diet eater may ONE DAY have to get some nutrients (example Vitamin B, C and minerals (e.g Potassium) + healing nutrients) from GREEN HERBs too. Some Carnivore diet eaters think they are smarter than God. YET, In the millenium kingdom, even the carnivorous animals shall eat grass Isaiah 65:25 and In the New Heaven and new earth, man shall eat fruits again but the leaves of the tree of life shall be useful for healing.since there will be NO MORE deaths.

@@RV-there-Yet I did carnvr for 6 mos to heal leaky gut-Sibo & it didn't heal it but prior to that I was literally praying that God intervene & stop my sugar-carbadctn. I could NOT stop & then the gut happened & I'm thankful for it. It's taking a long time but I believe it's to get me into the longterm pattern of stopping bing's. I since moved to ketovore with a little bit of vegetables & am meatbased (beef-chicken only) to try to deal with my biome. Adding fruit was bad bc now that sugar taste came back & I missed it. I think I'll always crave sugar but 8mos later I've established permanent changes. I won't go back because God answered my prayer for help.

@@ChasingStarz-Ou812 🎯YES!! So great to hear, all glory to God! I like what you said about "established permanent changes", since that's key to our healing, imho. I still crave sweets, but to much lesser degree, & right there w/you on the fruit. I'm nowhere near perfect w/it, even 3 yrs in, but I am thrilled w/those permanent changes you mention. I have incorporated occasional, very small amount fermented veg & Dr. Davis' SIBO yogurt, which has helped gut biome tremendously~ & I didn't have huge issues, just mild constipation & elevated blood sugar from years of nightly sugar binges. SO I knew quite well my gut still needed healing, even w/out any formal diagnosis. Loved hearing from you~ thanks for sharing, & may your efforts continue to be blessed & protected.Sammie

Experienced ketogenic dieter from May 2014 to January 2024. When starting carnivore, I took in 2 t-bones / day. Cut back to 1 medium ribeye and three egg omelet with Italian pecorino romano cheese. Had an 18 hour fasting window. No weight loss results for FIVE months but I didn't throw in the towel. This summer, I have lost 20 lbs. and 3 waist inches. I continue to see progress but I think my body was healing itself from a car accident I was in last November when I broke two ribs and think I had kidney damage.

Thanks, Kelly. I love your chats. You could have said all of this over and over: my addiction to the sweet taste of stevia and too much butter in my coffee. My head could not hear any of that!! I knew I had gained 10 pounds after two years on carnivore. Pretty much that is the only thing that woke me up. I thought I was a carnivore; I could eat butter like all the videos, and I did. For me, it did not work. Maybe it was the stevia? On June 18, I stopped stevia and did three days of sardines. The scale moved a bit. On July 4, I stopped butter in my coffee. I love coffee, or do I? Or do I love coffee? Butter and stevia that tastes more like pudding. It was an addictive behaviour. On July 5, I started eating just bacon and eggs during the day and roasted, smoked BBQ something at night. On July 25, I stopped dairy, no cream or milk in my coffee or sneaky cheese that works its way into my life. I locked it in a fridge drawer with a little combo lock that was difficult to open; that was enough for me to stop. On August 3, I lost 10 pounds. I eat until I am full three times a day. I also walk a bit. Whenever I need to go to the barm, it's 550 yards. I do that many times a day. Thanks for all you do, Kelly. I am just glad I am committed enough to my health not just to give up and say carnivore does not work for me. It was me doing the sabotaging of my diet.

Once again, Kelly, 💕👍😘. You really are my hero. Yes, I am stuck, yet again, though I must remind myself that I had two ultra-long stalls, one time a year, the second time was two years. But during those times, my body reshaped. I have lifted 7 lb weights and done leg exercises in bed for far longer than I've been mostly carnivore (5 years) but other exercise is just walking up and down the house steps to go to the barn to tend my chickens and the gardens. My midsection is actually showing abs for the first time in my entire life, though I am still about 10-15 lbs too high for my height. I wish I'd gotten the message two decades ago-I turn 68 in November and have been hypothyroid for about 25 years. So much heartache would have never happened! Three years ago, there was an accident that came close to taking my life when we were cutting down a tree on the property and I recovered quickly, did my own physical therapy and I credit my improved condition for the fast recovery. My surgeon was amazed. God Bless! ~Cynthia

No one talks about this. And doing carnivore with premade foods 🤦🏼‍♀️. I think this happens with those not mentally ready to start carnivore, and/or sugar addicted. I think at the end of the day. You have to figure out what method works best for your body. Everyone is different some people can handle eggs others can't handle pork etc. I'm 52, female, 4'11" at 100 lbs very active. I practice intermittent fasting (20-22 hrs during my work days) (when I'm off a shorter fast or no fasting at all) I have figured out what protein works best for my body and how much fat. I don't count calories.

Sixty-three yo male on carnivore for almost a year. I've lost 75 lbs and my blood panel is excellent (high LDL, of course. No worries there). Anyway, I wanted to chime in on the "over eating". First, I never count calories. I don't believe you need to. Secondly, and this is a biggie, if you're eating the way you should it should be extremely difficult to overeat (if you're not cheating). In my opinion, I don't believe many people eat enough good quality fat. I remember when I first started, and I didn't "ease" into anything, I saturated all the meat I ate in quality butter and/or bacon fat. Lots and lots of it. Most often I was so satiated to the point of almost being nauseous. I couldn't overeat if I tried. And FYI, those 75 lbs came off during the first six months and I am 100% honest when I say it was virtually effortless. HONEST! I alternated between one and two meals each day, usually between noon and 3:00 pm. I didn't take any cheat days whatsoever. I'm a big fan of BBB&E. Anyway, longer story short, I believe most people fail because they fail to totally commit to the lifestyle. Shortcuts are setbacks. I have a lot of friends on this diet and I personally have never met anyone who gained fat on the Carnivore diet unless they had introduced roadblocks into their progress. So that's my .02. Thanks for the video, have a great day!

I ought to feel at least a little bit better but I don't. Do you know anyone else that has no healing on this diet? Am I the only one that experiences no healing results? I am diagnosed with fibromyalgia by my primary doctor for years now. I was diagnosed and treated but not healed with lyme disease by a specialist six and a half years ago. I suffer every day. I'm glad for all the people that feel better on this diet. I was desperate when I started and am still desperate and sick every day and plagued by heavy fatigue. I'm going to stay on the diet for a while longer. What else is there to do? Are there any people like me that didn't get better until being on the diet for more than seven months?

What are your symptoms that make you feel horrible? Try eliminating the butter and get your fats from high fatty meat. See if that helps. Also what kind of fish are you eating and where are you getting it from? Praying for you! Being in pain is never any fun!

Also are you getting enough sodium and water throughout the day. Sleeping also an indicator of health. Are you getting good sleep? Getting up when the sun comes up and going outside in the morning and getting as much sun as you can will make a big difference. At least it did for me. I hope this helps.

In USA carb-0, depends on the much manipulative 'serving size'. The manufacturer reduces serving size (to stupidly small amounts) in order to get carbs under 0.5g so they don't have to declare it. You can be taking more carbs than you think if you eat more reasonable portions. In most of the rest of the world, we have the 'per 100g' column which allows easy comparison of products

@@meatdog yes, but not everyone can do that, and what has a 'barcode' differs according to where in the world you are. The sugar in the water used on cheap meat is mostly to aid browning as that is what their market expects.

I’ve been carnivore a little over 2 ½ years and have regained half the weight I lost in year one. This last year I cheated with small amounts of nuts, and some cheeses. I’ve totally stopped buying cheese, and just recommitted to myself to stop eating nuts. I’ve mostly done two meals a day, but have started to try 3/day again. I get out and walk as much as possible. But I’m really discouraged by putting back 20-25 lbs. My lab work is excellent. I just turned 78 (ouch) and really truly want to get down to 145 lbs . I was once 5’10”, but I’ve shrunk! Am now 5’8”. I feel like I’m starting from scratch again. I’m contemplating Lion Diet for 30-60 days. HELP!!!!

How is it metabolically healing if after 2.5yrs you can't even eat a small amount of nuts or cheese without gaining weight. Doesn't make sense. Not being argumentative I just thought that if we dropped the SAD diet and went carnivore we could actually have a future where a little bit of plants or dairy wouldn't derail everything.

Sometimes, measuring by inches can be a more accurate measurement on fat loss, as a previous repy mentioned, building muscle and better bone density, etc, does weigh more. My weight loss has yo-yo-ed, but mine was due to the yo-yo-ing in my diet (eating carbs when I am on the road). Wishing you all the best and sending love ❤️

I like the way you keep it simple. There are a lot of people that talk about carnivore on RU-vid, most of whom I ignore and when I listen it is mainly for entertainment. In other words I don’t take them as experts. But when I saw you I was impressed by the fact you’ve been doing it for fifteen years and even though it is your source of income you do not appear to be a my way or the highway type. I look forward to your videos. Thank you.

I jumped on the carnivore wagon June 2024, committing to eat for a month. After the 1st two weeks being so hard, I felt great and told myself that I would give it 90 days and then start adding veggies. Like so many, I was conditioned to need veggies on my plate "for my health". It has been almost 4 months now and I cant get myself to jump Off the wagon. Ive been feeling so well that there is no reason to leave this woe.

8:09 Purse bacon is great. I recently took a 8 day trip with my carbvore husband. I was able to stay carnivore through the entire trip because I went on the trip prepared. I took quite a few strips of bacon, a dozen of boiled eggs, pork rinds, and sardines on the trip. If I go to a restaurant, I generally order naked chicken wings or plain smoked meat. My weight was only up 1.5 lbs after the whole trip which was a success because in the past even a day trip made my weight jump up a few pounds 😂

Damn, I'm jealous of the ppl that can gain weight on carnivore.. I'm 10 months in and lost 34lbs - 20lbs past my goal. Don't get me wrong, its awesome being single digit BMI and super shredded, but its a friggin struggle to maintain or gain a pound back. I took all the advice - eat more fat with dairy and lift heavy....still nothing. Eat OMAD, nothing. Eat 4 MAD, nothing. My metabolism is super jacked on carnivore and it keeps the weight off. For the month of July, I reintroduced potatoes and gained back 5 lbs in total. I felt fine with them like I didn't lose the great effects of carnivore only minor ones. August is here and I'm strict carnivore again, we'll see what happens to my weight. Another great vid Kelly!!

I have been ketovore for a year. I lost 90 pounds and I am off all of my multiple medications. I am disabled so exercise is minimal. I just has bloodwork done, and was shocked to see a severe increase in blood sugar, and a severe worsening of my kidney disease. I keep my carbs to less than 20 grams per day. I had given myself a year to improve my kidneys, else I would go full carnivore. That is now what's next.
