Beth, you are just like little old woman from the 1800s in England who loves entertaining! Your choices make me think of the classics from that age like Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice. You are so elegant and sophisticated yet so humble and warming!!!!
My cousin and her husband recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. 12 year old me gifted them a Pyrex chafing dish. They are still using it regularly!
I have an old china bowl of my grandma, which she got on her wedding.I have always loved vintage stuffs.I would sit there and look at her cups, saucers,my grand dad's suitcase.things were more charming because they were all handmade, with care and love.
Good morning, Beth! Hope you have a great weekend! BTW, I got excited when you were about to open the Le Creuset covered dish because I thought there would be something hot and tomatoey and cheesey and yummy inside.
LOL! Oh and that was my plan, but then we had so many products to shoot that day I ran out of time! :( promise I'll make something yummy looking in it soon!
Beth has an amazing channel full of great ideas and inspiration. I bought the garlic pot she recommended and gave as gifts for Christmas. She's the neighbour and good friend that everyone wants in their life.
Once again, perfectly appointed, practical, pretty and durable. All of her recommendations are always on point. I've come to depend on Beth as my number 1 go-to source for all things entertaining and family kitchen living! I'm incredibly grateful for this gal!!
You have such great taste! i want everything you have shown, but at 72 I am gradually getting rid of my stock, not adding to it...at least, that's the plan. But I don't know, some of your choices are so beautiful I just may rethink that! 8-)
How can someone give a thumbs down to this? Everything is perfection Beth! I want to buy every single item you presented here. I already have some of them like wine glasses a cake stand for example but your choices are so elegant and perfect that wants me what to buy the exact ones 😍
Beth, I LOVE when you share videos like this! You select the most lovely things for food preparation and presentation, and I so appreciate your suggestions. 👍😊
Happy Anniversary! This episode was great! And I would add great timing, too. It gives people time to consider if they are planning a wedding or a gift giver.
This is a very well thought out video! Things you never knew you needed, but definitely do! After almost 16 years of marriage (December), I got a couple of gravy boats this year! Not as fancy as yours, but they looked so cute on the table and no one has to ask for a spoon to dish the gravy! Haha! Now I'm on the lookout for a beautiful glass cake stand! Thanks so much for all the effort you put into these videos! Oh, and congratulations on 19 years! That's amazing!
Aw thanks Sa-eeda! Yes 19 years feels like such a long time but in reality it's gone by SO fast! Just makes you want to be "present" everyday and enjoy the journey! So glad to hear you are enjoying your gravy boats! :) It's funny but often it's those little touches that allow our guests to feel cared for and special, which in turn brings us so much joy! :)
@@EntertainingWithBeth Definitely! That is after all, why we entertain! To bring people together and make them feel special! I always love your videos! Ideas are always exactly what we need! I got my sister in law a recipe box for her birthday last year, thanks to you, and she loved it! Time really does fly by, and your beautiful hostess ideas and lovely Bakes, help remind me to always keep the nearest and dearest close and make them feel special whenever they're around! 😘😘💖 thank you!
These are really great ideas. I have been thinking about what to use some wedding gift cards on. I got a lot of serving plates and bowls from my registry. I am excited but nervous to entertain.
Oh so true! I didn’t know much registry wise when was getting married also 19 yrs ago, no RU-vid either back then. I would have completely changed the registry now :). Although I do use some items to this day, fine china is still boxed up, not sure I even like the pattern anymore. Thank you Beth, for this great video
Isn't that funny?! I SO know what you mean!! We also registered for this weird pattern of coffee cups that I can say I've maybe used a handful of times and don't even use now because the pattern is so not my taste any more! LOL! Funny how we change and evolve over the years!
ever since we talked he other day about how onions making you cry, ive done some experimenting. the one i found that works the most, is that you remove the stem end, and peel the 1st layer of skin off. then, cut the onion in half, and DO NOT REMOVE THE ROOT END. then you can chop it the way you want. now this doesn't fully prevent you from crying, but it certainly helps a lot.
Beth, congratulations for your 19 years!!! I love this video! You always make to look everything so cute and elegant! Thank you for your time to make these videos! Kind regards!
Love the video Beth. As always 😊. I’m not sure if you’ve done one already, but can you do a video on table settings for special occasions using the items you mentioned in this video? Thanks so much.
So glad you enjoyed it! :) I did this video a few years back which you might like. Fun ideas for the holidays! :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UKcvEeXJvrQ.html
I don’t use all these items in my household but I totally wanted to press that LIKE button multiple times! Love ❤️ ur attention to detail and video style 👏🏼😀
First congratulations on 19 years of marriage. And wow you are just so elegant and yes those items are not the first thing one usually think of. They really are exquisite. I can only imagine your table during a dinner party. Lol... I'll be right over...
Aww thanks! Yes had to take a week off there to recover from my jet lag of being in France for a month, and to get the kiddos off to school! But now I'm back :)
All those things are beautiful! I have been married for 26 yrs, but we are doing a vow renewal.... Hmmm would it be in bad taste to do a registry now lol 😊♥️? You have such beautiful taste thanks for this kind of video Beth👩🏽🍳🍷♥️
Aww yes it’s my big goal for 2019! To work on a book proposal to shop around to book publishers :) so fingers crossed some one is interested! 🤞 if it happens you’ll all be the first to know!!
Ha! Oh yes you can see my "yard transformation" on my Gardening channel. Hope you enjoy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7lgMQdyY-0E.html
Aww thanks! So glad you enjoy them :) . I use the Canon Mark IIIs 5D cameras. But really it's my cameramen that should take all the credit. They are the ones that really make it look great! :)
I will be 21 next month on 19 September tell george i love him sooooooooooooooo much and i say hi to him love dogs drooling over my samsung galaxy j4 love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
Oh yes that tray was such a steal! $20 at a yard sale! It's not sterling silver but silver plate. But it always looks great :) . I clean it with a silver polish and a soft rag a few times a year.
LOL! I know it's a bit mini, but great for a rich sauce where you just need a drizzle! (And you can always pop up and refill it) it's just so darn cute!!
0:23 Listen to Beth y’all. Talking facts. Especially when you get a home, it becomes the nexus of family gatherings. Same goes for house warming gifts, like we already have cookware but no casual/transitional serve ware for entertaining.
I actually didn't even know there was a thing called "Bridal registry!" In India, we don't do this hehe. Guests can give wtv they can. Money or gifts. Even if they don't that's fine too. The newly-weds don't ask for anything here ^^
Oh how funny, yes I'm sure customs differ among cultures. I think it began here as a way for newlyweds to get what they needed instead of things that might not be so useful? There's a funny story my parent's experienced when they got married. They received a sterling silver lobster :) Yes a lobster that I guess was meant as a decoration for a table top? I know a bit strange. The lobster was engraved with their initials on it. So a year or so later they had a wedding to go to and thought about the lobster. They went to have it re-engraved with the new couple's name on it, but the silversmith said the lobster's initials had been "re-engraved" over and over so many times he couldn't do it anymore! Ha! So clearly that lobster traveled around from wedding to wedding! So I guess the registry exists to prevent a silver lobster showing up at your door? :) LOL!
Oh sure It's from the "Threshold Collection" at Target. I bought them a few years ago and I just looked on their website to see if they still have them. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them :( . but they had something similar in blue? www.target.com/p/wellsbridge-ceramic-dinner-plate-10-8-aqua-threshold-153/-/A-14432877
Great question! Not that I have seen. I just bought that piece a few months ago and so far so good but I don’t put it in the dishwasher or leave it out in the sunlight. There are pewter polishes I’ve seen so maybe every so often I might polish it up :)
You can find it on Amazon :) amzn.to/2NBnAn6 all the items featured are available there (links in the video description or you can find them in my Amazon Shop as well) www.amazon.com/shop/entertainingwithbeth
It's when the couple / bride go to a store and pick out things they'd like to have. And when inviting people to your wedding, you add a gift registry card with the invitation, so people can go to that store and pick an item on the list.
That's a great question! I wouldn't do more than 8 to begin. So 8 glasses, 8 napkins etc. Because when you are just starting out, you probably don't have a lot of space for storing all these things :) .But 8 is still a good number to grow into, since when starting out you may only begin entertaining for 4-6 people at a time. So I think 8 is a great number to start with :) Hope that helps!
So I don't know if I'm the only one who raised my eyebrows to my hairline when I heard 24 carat gold and silver serving spoons, casually said. Still digesting. Wow.
On everyday nights Beth likes 5 inches, but on special occasion she likes 12 inches! =D. Beth you're GROSSLY overestimating how many people are fabulous homemakers like yourself but great collection anyway!
