The third game of our development squads 2020 season was away to Sanderstead CC. What a stunning place to play cricket and what a brilliant bunch of people, we felt very welcomed and comfortable allowing us to play some great cricket. Horley have reached the final of this competition for the last 3 consecutive years so we are always hopeful of very good results in this game we started to show exactly what we are capable of. Ben Remfry played hands down the best innings we have ever seen him play cruising to well over 100 runs!

Just dusted off a copy of the James 2 booble and Ben you are totally correct with your reference to JC. in Kings 21 it is said, « he smiteth the ball and lays with 1000 babes and a couple of goats and is worshipped in the Horley world. » Complaints to Snatch, Grabbit and Runn..my lawyers

You are so correct they are both absolutely superb cricketers and a pleasure to watch. Sam is a very good footballer so unfortunately football takes a lot of his Saturdays up which is a huge shame :-(

Some of the shots young Ben played were all class, great soft hands when needed and those 2 on drives early on were brilliant, a joy to watch.

The 2 on drives and specifically the one which had the instant replay are just sooooo good! He's also a really really great guy will be a huge asset to the club in the future

I loved Ben's six over the big 🌲 🌲 🌲 just after he got to.his fifty. Majestic lofted drive. And he hit a similar shot nearing, or just after his hundred. But congratulations to both teams for putting on a great show. A game of 🏏 on a nice warm summers evening .. that's what England's all about, isn't it? You can't beat it! 👍😄👍😀

He hit some monsters in this game although Sandersteads ground can make a small shot look big, he really played some stunning shots nonetheless! There is nothing quite like it, the ropey weather is always an issue but the grounds always look stunning and there's always beer not too far away 😉

Thanks Andy, a treat to watch. It would be lovely to see some ongoing collaboration between you and Dan. There are thousands of us out here enjoying every minute of these sort of presentations. Score cards would be a welcome addition but I can see you are already working towards that kind of thing. Maybe you and Mr Allan need to start recruiting a production team to handle all that and get the cherry picker sorted, now over the sight-screens at both ends!

Thanks you very much for your appreciation. We do have another match against Sanderstead in a few weeks so there will be more to come. We do have the scorecards at the end of each innings and a summary at the end also. That would be an absolute dream to have those sorts of facilities and believe me it has already been discussed!

Super game and a nice win against your friendly rivals. Some good talent on show there. But must admit some very short dollyhops from the young Sanderstead bowlers. Ber Dan Allen thought the same lol

But the young man still had to dispose of those deliveries... and he did that with a great deal of adaptability and class. Truly a great prospect with a remarkable range of shots.

It doesn't matter how a century is made it is still a huge achievement regardless. Sometimes easy bowling is harder to get a century too as you lose concentration and often end up doing something silly. Ben did a superb job and even when better bowlers were bought on it didn't seem to phase him at all

Andy, just watched the Dan Allen version and you really are doing a great job. Hope you get alot of Sanderstead viewers on your channel and hopefully you can arrange a 1st eleven game between the two sides before autumn clicks in. Dave in Berlin. Not really that close to you all lol, but all of you are not that far from Gatwick

Thanks Dave. We also hope that we will get a little spike in subscribers & views (we certainly have so far!) It would be amazing to have a 1st XI fixture arranged and it is something we can certainly look into behind the scenes. We are playing Sanderstead in this competition again in a few weeks though.

Yes it will be at Horley Cricket Club next time, there is limitations in the league as to what you can do age wise so it all depends how old the players are, it will be a great game regardless. Thank you, you will see how we get on this weekend soon
