Let me know how you make out with these changes :-) I was frustrated with the vacuum gauge, I tried to figure out how the dataref thing worked and thought that was the way to make it work but way over my head, then thought of rotating the image. What's cool about this is you can modify any instrument image to change the look if you are so inclined that might be a fun project??? Blessings, skip
there's another cool trick you can do, if you use the gen-needle gauge type the bottom right Key Frames window can be used to calibrate the zero position. You can set a series of angles and values - so 0 degrees of rotation would be 5 on the suction in your case probably (or whatever random reading xplane's internal dataref likes). Plane maker is great for what it does, but custom gauges sure are odd ducks to set up.

Skip I love your videos you explain everything so well can you do a video on when to use carburetor heat, cowl flap,& intertial sep. There isn't anything on RU-vid that explains this
