1754 Grizzly Tracker SC Review / Speed and what to look out for

I can't wait to see it either I ordered it sho it's one of a kind , really I can't find one like it lol . I had a strategy review videos don't get many subscribers so I was trying to change that lol , they get watched a lot but no subs

You stay safe too brother , they are good boats man I think those boats have 8 or 9 gallon tanks Maybe less . But the 60hp is really good on gas . I bet a 12 gallon would bes plenty big for a 75hp . My newest boat I bought has a 140hp and a 36gallon tank and I only filled it half full and drove it like 11hours and i mean drive time not fishing time . Some time you go fishing and half the time your motors not running , but i drove it 11hours lol . Plus sometimes i don't know when I'll get to go back fishing sho i like to get gas every time i go . So my gas stays fresh . Non ethanol real gas breaks down so many % every 30 days . Bit I can remember I think it's 10% , ethanol breaks down faster . Soi I run non ethanol gas and only fill it half full then put fresh gas over it every trip , that's just how I do it . You be safe out there and God bless brother

You welcome , but I didn't mean it to say one was better . SeaArks are more customizable which is a good thing but it'll cost more , if Trackers were the price would be higher as well . The only down side to a Tracker is you get what you get . The 2 boats I compared. The Seaark was a little cheaper . With the same motor the SeaArk was a 1k higher . But if you leave off the camo you save 600 bucks and change the Aluminum to a steel one and that's another 5 to 600 bucks plus the Xliner coating cost more . I wad just pointing some things out I've found out , because I always assumed Trackers were the cheapest I never thought of ordering my own boat just bought what they order and sold on the lot . Yep that 40hp 2 stroke is probably a powerful as a 50hp 4 stroke plus a lighter boat , that's a nice rig you got

we purchased the boat used at 2 yrs old and put the new motor on it We use it for fishing Lake Ontario for trout and salmon and take of the fishing gear and then put on the duck blind for waterfowling. it handles big water well had it wide open in 3 foot swells and it ran great wanted to make sure it could handle big water without issues being a VJon

They are good boats , I liked mine but I wanted something bigger

It's a hard decision man I like my Grizzly but ive been wanting something bigger and I don't own much left on mine , which is one thing that makes it hard to start over lol . But I'm getting close to 50 and I would rather do it now than be trying to pay boat payments when I want to retire you know , ol and by the way im ready to see it too lol

30 is plenty , i just upgraded so I could go 30 with 4 ppl on board that's the only problem I ever had was getting on plane with 3 or more ppl

I know the sc model has more weight so go bigger if you can but the tiller model get the 50 hp if you can but the 40hp will not let you dow n

Well, it handled them like a ModV . They aren't the best at rough water . You'll need a deep v for that

Yep the 75hp is only 15 more hp and the 75 weighs about 100lbs more than the 60hp but what ppl forget is it has allot more displacement because the prop diameter is bigger so in the end your gaining 15 hp and more displacement, then imagine how much more a 90hp is over a 60hp , that was exactly what I was getting at , I appreciate you commenting brother

I agree with you Teachers are great boats and I loved mine , I wad just pointing our that they aren't the cheapest they are priced right there with other boat companies . And I was pointing it out because a lot of ppl that had no body buying experience will get misled I've read articles were ppl have bought boats 17 or 18 foot long with 25hp motors thinking they ate getting a super good deal , and when they hey out there with the whole family it only gos 10 too 15 mph and they end up having to trade it in , I want knocking Trackers I was knocking Basspro shops for trying to make the boats look cheap to uneducated ppl . I compared the 2 too slow they is not much different in price if properly equipped. No I like Traclers , I only bought a a SeaArk because Trackers don't win the race when it comes to options . My new boat had 2 live wells a 15 gal and a 40 gal and I know that doesn't matter to everyone but tracks don't really have any choices in most areas of picking out option if you've done much boat shopping . Buddy I just want ti make ppl think and make good choices, if you watched the review part of the video I didn't have anything bad to say about Tracker

@@FishinNStuff I am very happy with my Tracker, I have a Proguide 175 deep V. I have put a lot of extra stuff on it and got it to where it fits just about all my needs. One of the options I was looking for was the bigger livewells, too. However, if I were to consider a different boat, Seaark would be at the top of my list. I think you made a great choice on that, homie! I can't wait 'til that video comes out! The one thing Tracker is really lacking is that they still use wood in their boats for decking and etc. I do believe Seaark and Ranger are the only 2 manufacturers I could readily find that don't use wood in their boats.

Ol man you got a Sweet ride brother . I looked at those too . I love the layout on that type of boat . Did you see the Rod Rack video I made where I told Glenn NICE BOAT lol . Its cause I was looking at em a lot . Then end up buying a center console lol They had a ProCat 200 where I bought mine and it made me drool a little lol . But it wouldnt fit in my building it had a 80 gal livewell that's crazy lol . There was reasons for every boost i looked at , and I love fishing in winter and your boat is the King of the winter months I'll tell you that . Those windshields are the ticket in winter . @@FishinNStuff How do I email you, brutha? Mine is a side console. At first I was sceptical not getting the walk through, but the amount of room we have bc of the single console is way better and totally worth it, in my opinion. I took the windshield off. It was tinted, and way too tall. I had to put my seat in the down position and sit on the back rest to see over it. I have noticed no difference with it off. I will definitely email you some pics. I have done lots of mods to it. I recently got the Motorguide xi5 (that's the newest upgrade). The anchor feature alone makes that unit worth every penny! Tight lines, brutha!

Well ive heard that too , about small mercs being made in China, but I haven't had any problems with mine and friend of meeting is a boat mechanic and says the smaller ones are pretty good but no where near Yamaha quality , and from what I've heard Suzuki is right up there with the Yamaha, SeaArks are built like Tanks or really I should have said over built lol, they have a lifetime warranty on they're hulls , but the reason i pick SeaArk is they are so customizable, Trackers and most other brands have options but on a SeaArk you can get things the other boats just don't offer . Like I ordered mine with a 15gal baitwell and a 40gall livewell , can't get that on most boats , added a step with storage in it on the front deck for my old knees lol , they are just really customizable like I said , and like you said I love the plain easy to clean no carpet floors

If I could customize the grizzly 1860 I probably would have got that one its a awesome boat . I just wanted to make people think before buying lol . We do what we got too . Hey brother I went and check out your channel and ive already watched several of your videos in the post I liked the one you made when you bought it , you do I great job buddy , I want knocking any boat just letting ppl know how Basspro/Cabelas do business so they can be more prepared when making a purchase, I've read story after story where ppl bought boats like a 1754 sc with a 25hp on it and the thing would only do 15mph and that's like taking advantage of ppl to me . So don't feel like I was dogging your boat because I considered buying one my self if it would have had a larger livewell I probably would have

Yep I traded the Tracker in for a Seaark 180 RiverCat and I really like it its only 1 foot longer but its 72 inches wide with 2 live wells a 15gallon and a 40 gallon. I'm not sure what motors are going for used . But I will say this the price of everything has went up lately . So do your homework so you don't give it away

I'd have to agree with you 100% brother , I would rather have the mac horse power on the boat than anything else , then for what I do I want a good livewell , heck if I want to go slow I'll take my Hobie fishing lol

I agree the 2 strokes are faster . But the 4 strokes are catching up . Probably because more research and development are put into 4 strokes by more company's . I notice the 4 strokes are a lot smaller than they were 10 years ago . But the E Tecs are fast . I think you can buy just the boat and console for like 3500 to 4000 . No trailer no motor . Or you can go with a SeaArk just like it same price basically . And they'll put any motor you want on it

I didn't have that problem personally . But my boat was a 2015 model . But like I said in the video . Most boats are priced really close depending on what you get on them . The SeaArk I compared it too would have been about the same price if you were to leave off the camo . That was a 500 option. Plus different motors cost different amounts . I know that wasn't the question but im just saying don't get stuck buying something you don't want to . Because they are too expensive for that

That was a BassPro setup I didn't have a, RPM gauge so it could have been propped wrong .

@@FishinNStuff my gps doesnt give me a speed but there are several apps you can download that are crazy accurate. They are especially fun when on a plan.

My GPS works fine and gives accurate speeds , I mean I didn't have an RPM guage , without knowing your RPMs you don't know if your prop is the right size , since 4 stroke motors make most of their power on the top end . If your not getting close too 6000RPM then your not maximum performance out of the engine

Speed on boats is a hard thing too figure out because I mean its about Motors and Props but it's also about weight and fishing gear changes that even ppl in the boat and how m nanny gallons of gas you have . Boats go a little faster in cold water than hot water . And the fastest I've had my boat wad on choppier water . Cause when it's like glass the hull drags a little more . Riding with or against the current matters too . That's why I say speed is a tough thing to figure out lol

Yes I won't lie it can be bad if its white capping . I fish big lakes too . It doesn't happen a lot though the worst I've been in wad a bunch of fun boaters making wakes, Aluminum v bottoms ride pretty skinny actually. An Aluminum bayboat can fo both cut chop and ride kinda skinny

I've had it in that or higher , it handles wind fine . It sits very low to the water like a bass boat . But high winds made me go to a 80 lb trust trolling motor lol .

My new boat has pods on it plains out in like 2 seconds or less . The Grizzly took like 8 times as long . But you can get the pods on the 20 ' Grizzly

Yea pretty accurate I only checked it once when I got it with nothing in it. Now when I go out I have tons of gear and my heavy brother lol. It gets up to plane alot slower now but I probably have close to the max capacity in weight. I been thinking about re propping for the weight.

Ive read that ppl are going up 2 pitch sizes and putting on 4 blades and that keeps your speed about the same but really helps the hole shot when your loaded , I think I read that in a few forums online

Well its ok , can't say it did great ot nothing because its a mod V bottom . Now SeaArk makes a V hull design like the one i showed in this video and itll do better in rough water . The ModV hull is made for shallow water

also my switch that turns on the live well in one direction and if you flip it down, it turns on the bilge. It does not have a timer for the livewell.

I had a 2015 model you can add a timer switch if you didn't get one for the live well that's what they are called . The speed was what my mega 9 hummingbird read but im not due about the RPM on it didn't have a guage. It had a 3blade prop the dealer installed . I own a SeaArk boat now I needed something bigger

The boat I ordered is a 1872 which is a big jump up from a 1754 , bit that's one of the things I wanted a little bigger boat and a lot bigger motor so I can take more ppl . I would guess 28mph or so . But that's just a guess based on other boats I've been in with 25hps

My 1648 goes 30 mph with a 30hp mercury with two 160lb guys

It's very stable. The bottom of the boat is 54 inches the three stern is around 78 inches , it feels very safe walking around on it

No Sir not in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with a Grizzly they're just a little plain but still good boats . I tried in my Grizzly on a Seaark..... more opinions on a Seaark . Watch some of my newer videos and you'll see my Seaark

No my boat was 1754 max hp on it is 75hp . You have to buy a 1860 to be able to put a 90hp on it

75 and 90 weigh the same the boat will hold a 90 all day long... It would run 45 or so with a 90

I went with a 1872 which is basically 18' long and 8' wide so I got a lot more room and I can sit 5 ppl comfortably compared to sitting 2 ppl comfortably and 1 uncomfortably in my old boat . But if your interested in a Tracker boat I think they are great man . All boats have there advantages and disadvantages I guess
