I too am learning that sometimes just going fast and getting things done is just as satisfying if not more than being very fiddly and precise, the stays look wonderful, and make the dress look really great!

That fashion fabric is GLORIOUS, the neural colour works so beautifully with the ribbon, and the purple and green combo for the robe is gorgeous - overall, a massive win for a quick one-day-make

It looks so good! I love the gold and the blue together, it’s a smashing combo. I get you on bad starts to the year. It seems like a lot of people were low key hoping for a better year, finally, but 2022 just looked at us and laughed and laughed and laughed. For me, I woke up with extreme pain from an infected gallbladder literally one hour into the new year (and now need my gallbladder out, which has been postponed due to covid). Unfortunately, trying to get an ambulance in the very early hours of the new year is not ever going to be a successful endeavour (which is why it took another 5 and a half hours to get to the hospital- a suburban one, which was thankfully very quiet). Busiest time of the busiest day of the year. But I didn’t have an other option due to disability. And then I’ve spent the last week being unable to move my very swollen and painful arm due to an adverse reaction from my covid booster. Thankfully, I managed to rig a situation with a few pillows where I can keep my arm in place so I can knit. But it’s not been a good year, and we’re only 3 weeks in. I hope the year starts to turn around and get a bit better for you.
