This car is definitely not for all the purpose. You can't have a comfortable journey experience on highway / long drive neither it's good for city drive. It's good for off-road drive and that too only for 2 people.

Thar is made for off-road purpose if u want comfort go for sedans and SUV's Mahindra done excellent job 👏

Mahindra Thar is for those who "live young, live free - the living". Thar is not about its cons. If u want driving dynamics, comfort, and family, go for sedans, hatchbacks, and pseudo Suvs such as creta/seltos/xuv 300. If you are tired of driving cars and want to try something new than go for thar, as drving it is a different feeling. Its a niche product in the market and not for those who do ball by ball commentary and "chickni chupdi baatein" about cars.

I went for second hand Renault duster RXZ 110PS version 2013 model...may not have the best interiors or features but what it makes up is the ride comfort, driving dynamics and suspension... that's what everybody needs most in a true SUV like duster not the features...those are meaningless if it doesn't ride well...wish you happy and safe driving.

👍 Good review on new thar I hope shortly you will give new reviews with thar on sand dunes and how to use 4x4 on sand with mannual model and how to recover vehicle in such tricky condition specially when you are alone. Thanks

i clocked 10k own D manual hardtop . point mentioned in this video is right. 100% genuine review. each word in review is on point .. also according to me thar is a feeling and mix of emotions. plus i do feel price now a bit higher . i got at launch price. average if cruise below 90 ---15 if cruise above 120-130 ------ 10.5 tank to tank

Thanks for sharing your opinion on Thar Ravi Sir. Was eagerly waiting for this since 2020. I have a prospect of buying this as a secondary car, so following questions I have. It will be better if you can share some of your observations, if you have experienced. 1. How is the soft top convertible version? Does it catch dust and difficult to clean? Is it vulnerable, if you keep some valuables inside and Park the car on street? 2. Can you suggest me the powertrain options among Diesel MT, Diesel AT and Petrol MT. As this is my second car consideration, so not sure how much it will run but, it's intended to be used in city + some of the Adventure trips and occasional highway trip. I am more inclined towards the softtop convertible but haven't got a real-time ownership review on the same and trusting you. I can live with manuals until they have good low-end torque, smooth gearshifts and light clutch.

I was planning to buy my first car.. so took the test drive of XUV300 and THAR, thank God I finally owned the last Ford Ecosport of Ford India.. cos it was a complete package, Thar is truly ONLY for 2 people, u can't imagine to visit Laddakh with ur friends by THAR, that too with such a high price and no premium feel inside, no comfort, esply if u r more than 2😊 only Hype is selling THAR

If Thar was 1 feet long (4300mm instead of 3995mm), sabse practical off-roader hoti with decent boot & good 2nd row comfort

Sir, On your recommendation I have purchased Involve One. I am very disappointed after getting material. Fragrance is good but container quality is so poor. Cap of the container is very loose it produces rattling noise in the car.

I think Mahindra was not able to experiment much with it's Comfort side bcs they had to make a perfect Off-roder within sub 4 meter with BIG visual appeal. I think this TAX system of sub 4 meters car has to go away. We are not living in 90's anymore

Overall it's a 2 seater. They've made it like a 2 seater initially and later added those 2 rear seats just to sell it as a 4 seater. Otherwise it's a capable car in its segment.

boot space is too less, reach to rear seats is tough, and thigh support should be enhanced.. these very basic things are much needed for longer journeys.. bcz such cars are made to go for longer and adventurous journeys with luggage bags.. other drawbacks can be ignored..
