Eureka! There was always one part of this move that always felt "not quite right" to me. I now realize that when about to do the wrist push, while my right hand was moving in, I was already pushing out with the left leg and pushing out with the left hand. Which means that my right hands while moving towards my body to meet my left hand would have to stop and change direction to be pushed back out. By bringing the hands together first I don't have that awkward stop and go back motion. Whew. Explaining tai chi with text is hard. :-))
