Technicians who still do that after the first month haven't been told to be smarter than the car and the tools. They don't last in shops. At home, of course, throw all the tools you like.

@@dannylinc6247 If Technicians need to be smarter than the cars, Why do they insist on asking the car "what is wrong"? LOL JK... I'm old-school, I love it when the only "computer" is built from Grey matter. A few yrs ago, I took a 1976 Monti Carlo I used to own to a shop I trust, (friends with the owner) for a tune-up.(Didn't feel like fighting with no.8 plug (A/C car)). If you know, You know.. The Owner sent a "new hire" over to do the job. I planned to wait. As the kid walked over, The owner to him not to forget to check for code's. When the kid turned back to get the scanner, I LMAO and told my friend that I'm getting a ride home, I couldn't stand to see how long my friend would wait while this kid tried to find the OBD port. Went back the next day to get my car and was told that the kid was fired later that day after breaking a OBD 1 port trying to force a OBD 2 connector into it. (Yes, This sadly is a true story...)

Eric O just knows how to make good videos. There was no apparent reason to start the video realizing he forgot a wire connection as he tried to remove the intake for the "money shot", but it was actually an excellent editing decision, because it was great beginning (bringing everyone up to steam) and introduced a small amount of drama, setting up the actual money shot. OTOH, how many times has a simple project turn into a major all day ordeal when you break something that needed to come out in one piece.

I own a 16 Hemi Ram. As a engineer in the iron mines of Minnesota. Oil CLEANLIENESS is the name of the game! And on these MFD,ABC,AFM,UCB, What ever engines? Stop thinking your oil can go 12k miles.
