Control was most def AAA from all possible angles - money put, price, scale etc.

first and foremost it was a fantastic game imho. but the scale of the game feels more like a double a game and alan wake 2 is your triple a game. but there are some other games i'd question the "aa" - nier automata leans towards triple a (considering square enix is the publisher/developer), and stardew valley is definitely an indie game.

@@paulusapfel Control was not only most expensive game to make on this list. It was as expensive as rest of the list put together. It's not AA. Scale is not only about levels or length. Level and extent of actors and motion capture raise it to the level AA games do in extremely limited fashion (like Hellblade).

Control and metro exodus are AAA, and stardew valley is an indie. You should draw more precise definitions of AA

A list pretty dfevoid of surprises and containing a few AAA to boot like Control, Shadows of the DColossus, Prey or Outer Worlds. Even Metro Exodus sure leans into AAA territory. More recently thos Outlast, Banishers of new heavean or Robocop Rogue City fit very well inbto this list. So is Soulmask. The Thaumaturge or Evil West.

yeah, some are debatable - like Outer Worlds or Metro Exodus are prime AA for me. But Control, SotC, Prey are typical AAA's.

stardew valley was developed by 1 guy dont think its correct to call AA game and put here on the same list with Control. Thoughs it is great game, just not as huge

Control an AA? game? This is not a video from a Vampire 4:45. Maybe from part 2 that was not yet released. Plus Vampire was not an AA game, the same as Prey. Ok, list is good but title makes no sense. I am at Metro and more games were AAA than AA.

if AA games are better then AAA games then doesn't that mean AA games are AAA games and AAA games are AA games.. but then again perhaps it works otherway around as skull and bones is AAAA.. hmm ye that makes more sense the more "A" the worse the game is and the bigger the company is the more wokeness ther games have now it all makes sense again o.O jokes a side been saying it for a long time indie companies and asian companies is were the good games are at as the rest is all infected by "micro"transaction greed and politics.. not to mention the ugly female characters 🤮
