c'mon now, is he has cocky as Baker was when he played for OU? i don't think he's even close and being cocky is ok for QB1. nothing wrong with that. he's very young, very inexperienced and these are normal growing pains. OU was never good enough to be #3 ranked team in the nation. they are prob 2 years away and that defense might be 4 years away from greatness. last thing this team needs is for Rattler to change his attitude. far from a problem.

in the 3rd OU series, Rattler throws in incomplete pass along the ISU sidelines, around 13:36 in 2Q i tink. you can see Rattler wink at the ISU side lines as he goes back to the huddle. i doubt he'll get humbled even tho ISU won the game.

@Andy Gygi You're acting like "these days" means any of the days since last weekend's loss to Kansas State and yesterday's loss to Iowa State. I've been following OU football since the Switzer era so my reference to "these days" is not going back to just the last couple of games. Its pretty obvious to all that OU is not the powerhouse they once were. Back in the day, we spanked the Iowa State's of the world 63-3 week in and week out and also stood toe-to-toe with Top 10 teams ie Nebraska, Texas, Florida State, etc. So in an effort not to offend the "timeline police" I'll re-phrase my comment : OU's defense under Lincoln Riley, particularly pass defense, has been at worst nonexistent and pretty mediocre at best. Missed tackles overall and defensive breakdowns in the secondary are particularly troubling. If this trend continues for the remainder of the season, it may be time to move on from LR.

@Party Boy to be fair, it's a little rebuild year for OU. They got a freshman QB who is good but needs to develop. Remember they had basically 3 heisman QBs in a row with some stud receivers.. I can't stand OU so I'm happy they lost lmao but you cant deny they've had some amazing teams

@@ronniebishop2496 you are right about the OU defense. i think the bottom line is: they cannot get players who make a huge impact on the game. i know #44 was a 5 star recruit, but he plays well below that number. he lacks a lot of discipline on the field and is very vulnerable against rb's, wr's and te's. until OU can get play makers on defense, this will be the norm. where is the pass rush? i noticed #8 on the d-line was playing very well but can he or someone else sustain that?

He has a lot of arm talent thats for sure. However he keeps throwing into double and triple coverage. While he shouldn't take all the blame 2 game ending picks in 2 straight weeks is a bad look. Oklahoma's defense has been horrible the worst I have seen in the last 4 or 5 years and thats saying something. I think Rattler will do just fine he just needs to know that he can't throw into coverage like that. It probably worked for him a lot in HS but not in College. I also don't know how much of that is on the coaching staff. The staff is used to having Heisman quality QB's and im sure some of the play calling emphasizes that. Oklahoma will be fine but their CFB Playoff chances are probably dead in the water.

He's no regular freshman they were hyping him to win the Heisman trophy at the beginning of the year and he was one of the most heralded quarterbacks ever to come to Oklahoma. He's not the only reason Oklahoma sucks now the defense is horrible but he's one of the reasons
