Getting with Zendaya isn't motivation enough??????? I would argue that while the physical act is similar, the scene is different because of Tashi's motivation. The characters in "Y tu mama tambien" weren't driven by power and control and manipulation the way Tashi's was.

@@chimdi Well for Art, I think his obsession with Zendaya motivated him…but what was Patrick’s motivation? Why was he living like a pauper even though he’s rich? There was no explanation behind that at all. No info on him having a family that maybe he didn’t get along with. Nothing. He just randomly decided to starve and prostitute. Why did Zendaya hook up with Patrick in Atlanta? Did she secretly love him? And if Patrick is a better player than Art, why isn’t he successful at tennis as well? Why is he poor and ranked 157th if he can beat the best player in the world..? How did we get from him being the best in college and even present day but unable to succeed in the field for some reason. Does he have a drug problem or something?Why is Zendaya with Art if he doesn’t have the same drive as she does? Why did Zendaya sleep with Patrick again at the end? I’ve even seen some people say that the men were actually in love with each other…ok then why not just be together? Why chase Zendaya at all. This isn’t the 50s. We were given no indication that them living out their lives together in a gay relationship would have been looked at badly. There were just so many unanswered questions and characters making choices with no rhyme or reason. I’m fine with movies that have some questions left over like “The Matrix”. But things like “I’m being poor by choice” or “I’m the best tennis player but somehow I have done nothing with my life and I’m ranked 157th” those are foundational pieces of info imo. Like we need to know how we got here and why. Otherwise, it’s just attractive people having sex and being mean to each other. And based on how much people like Euphoria, I can understand why the ratings for this movie are so high. People love that scenario even if it doesnt make sense

yesss Chelsea!!! It was a good ass time. When it started and they were actually playing tennis I panicked like wait, I don't care about sports at ALL, please don't actually be about this. I was so relieved when it immediately became toxic lol

It is IMPOSSIBLE to watch this movie and not ABSOLUTELY love it from beginning to end. It is so horny and messy and the music is superb. This is a moment where I'm going to ask you to turn inwards.

@@chimdii gave the movie a C+. I don’t think it’s lovable at all 😂 To me the motivation of every character minus Zendaya is completely non-existent. The music was good though
