He won the Ashes for his country, the WTC, and the ODI World Cup, and reached the IPL final, all as a first-time captain of his side. He was also the No. 1 Test bowler (now at No.5). Nothing but respect for this guy.
From 18 year old debut to full time captaincy for australia! His old bowling action was radical and very injury prone due to this right foot kept dragging that's why! glad his action right now is better
Dragging to the right. His coaches must not have noticed when he was younger and were just excited that he was bowling fast. I faced him as a 15-16 year old. He was easily bowling 130+ then.
What is wrong with right foot being dragged (while ball being released)? Cummins had injuries and stress fractures related to his back. How is this even related?
Pat Cummins is one the hardest working bowlers I have watched. Always positive in approach winning or losing, he's a real trier! He's an inspiration. Great bowler.
Around the same time James Pattinson also made his debut. He ran through India in that 2011-12 Border-Gavaskar trophy. Sadly, injuries ruined his career and the other three(Cummins, Starc, Hazelwood) flourished.
@@safatkarim630 Siddle was around but he was part of the side much earlier. Siddle, Bollinger, Helfenhaus etc belonged to same period when Australia was declining.
I think, in his initial days he was struggling with injuries due to his bowling action but as per the report later he changed his bowling action and from there he is consistently playing without any major injury
Cant believe he played with punter, watto, pup etc... man he missed sooooo much cricket. Dude, it takes me back to the bad old days when all our young guns were breaking down
And his batting won them a worldcup, he kept his side safe while Maxi did it from the other end. If they loose that match they would have definitely not make it to the semis and final
In his younger age with a smooth run up then generates raw pace but now he is with accuracy and medium pace due to his injury but his line and lengths 👹👹☠️☠️ take a bow Patty you are a genious
@@soumalyachatterjee6974 I told he is medium pace as compared to his younger age I'm not comparing him with anyone Because he is gone to that level where no one can match him he is a modern day legend
1:01 - Shaun Pollock: "Goddim! Farn deliveree, great larn and lingth, Kallis knicks auf, comfortable KETCH in the slip for CLORK and Australia have struck again!" - the next Tony Greig of commentary 😂
I was listening to this series on the ABC radio commentary. Fanie Devilliers was commentating and predicted that he would get injured due to his action (and the fact Clarke was over-bowling him) 29 overs in second innings was a bit like when England overbowled Archer
I have a prediction that this 18 years old boy will go on to become Australian team captain. May even feature in world's best T20 league after a few years as the most expensive player. Bolo Sandeep baba ki jai!
