My wife, Karen says to place your mold on top of your copier/printer and make a copy of the bottom of the mold. Then it is easy peasey to get an exact outline of the inside.

What if you paint the rim in paint then stamp it to the paper. Then use wipes to clean the edge off you would get the perfect outline

The best way to do it is to outline something you’ve already cast. A soft mold will change shape a bit when it’s filled with liquid (it will get wider and shorter), so going from an empty mold will never be quite right.

I didnt think id see the difference with the glitter, i thought all id see was the cellophane because the glitter didnt seem really there. I was wrong, and im so glad, it is so pretty and any little girl would want one on their dresser! So pretty and suttle! ❤❤❤

Could you use an erasable marker to mark around the edge of your mold and use your mold as a perfect stamp to give you exact cut lines?

Just be warned if you are in the UK, Lets Resin rarely have any of the pigment powders available to us. They promised the intense chameleon powder almost a year ago, still not available, instead they made it unavailable for us to buy from Amazon US, same with all the Holographic range.

Maybe you can put ink or paint on the bottom rim and stamp it onto a piece of paper and cut that out as your pattern for the holographic paper. Really pretty.

You can cut the cellophane into small squares and just add them to the top, then trim off the excess after it’s set

Maybe sit the mold on top of the paper and trace around the mold onto the paper.

Surely it would be alot simpler and quicker if you cut an oblong of that acetate, then filled the mould with resin and then laid the acetate on top. When the resin has firmed and cured, you can trim the acetate right to the very edge using small TH scissors. Surely this wouldve worked wouldnt it???
